Ok so everyone knows that Sins are OP and just plain cheap.( except the ones that play sin and act like they r perfectly balanced ). So im gonna try something here. I'm gonna ''nerf'' the Sin class (or fantasy nerf i guess lol) just to see who would still have a problem with sin if the devs actually miraculously did all this.
So here we go. This is how i would nerf sin and lets see ur guys input afterwards to see how many complaints there would be
STEALTH
Shadow Walk : Only lasts 20 seconds. ( double sparking pulls u out of stealth)
Shadow Escape : Only lasts 20 seconds ( Cannot attack from shadow escape state )
extra idea : while in shadow escape if contact is made with another player ( passes through them or gets within a melee range) then Sin is knocked out of stealth.
Side Note :
I was gonna continue but i didnt know how to deal with the OP dmg of sin because honestly if you ask me i blame the ridiculously OP gear for that when it comes to any class.
All this gear has done is make ppl 1 shot victims or 5aps victims. Armour doesnt keep up with the broken ratio of peoples stupid high attack to someone who should have high defense. I also Blame genies for imbalances in pvp because now classes can work around their natural weaknesses and mess up the balance ( however much there was ) even further. But thats just how i see it.
Anyway, so wut do u guys think of my stealth nurfing idea i guess since i didnt know how to handle dmg ?

The only option for stealth nerfing I kinda remotely like is when you run into something it knocks you out. But I completely disagree with the timer on stealth. There are cases where 20 second stealth isnt enough. Like in BH's when the sin goes to kill the gaurds and stealths there and back.
The only thing I've seen that makes a sin way OP'd is the gear that usually comes from the cash shop. I've seen plenty of sins with average gear that can't do squat diddly and the only reason they might kill someone in PvP is when they use their stunlock to it's max potential with an unsuspecting victim.

I don't think stealth should get a timer. However, I agree with the running into things knocks you out of stealth ^-^

Yeah, but having the sin go off and kill the gaurds isn't "needed".
I have a sin, and even I think they need a 20-30 second timer on stealth. They also need to be locked out of any skill use while stealthed.Some people risk to employ me

imo thats how a sin is supposed to fight anyway . None of this Occult ice- 5aps auto attack . My goal was to not exactly nerf the hell outta them but to make the class actually require some brain power lol . People in this game like things too easy. Complaining that barbs dont have strong enough aggro skills for example. The way i see things there is if a DD steals when he cant handle the bosses dmg and causes a squad wipe thats the DD's fault for not co-operating. Otherwise everything is too easy and its just triple spark and auto attack and nothing can go wrong because barb will always have aggro.... thats boring[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC] Motorcycle.... U MAD?0 -

I agree a sin killing the gaurd isn't "needed" but it does make things run a bit quicker and most of the squads I've been in like to get things done fast.
Being locked out of using skills in stealth would be kinda ok I guess, but I can't see it happening anytime soon and if ever it did happen there would be a lot of QQing.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

When I can steal aggro from an 8X barb on an 8X archer while using fists 20 levels below me and not sparking, it's not that I'm not co-operating.... it's that the barb sucks.

im sure that has nothing to do with the barb aggro skill not being strong enough. The barb probably just wasnt using fleshream every time it cooled down like how he shoulda been. Ive stolen aggro with my sin yesterday in a bh 59 from the barb and believe me when i say im not one o those ego sins that try to steal just so he can say ''ohh look at me im soo beast i stole aggro from tank''. but i gave barb enough time at begining and was doing my skill spam routine until i think its safe to auto attack for a while before my next rib strike and then i still stole .. which has never happend to me before with other barbs then i looked closely and the barb was doing like 1 flesh ream after like every 5 normal hits... so ya.. the barb sucked.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC] Motorcycle.... Because really, having a 20 second timer on stealths would pretty much make them useless in PvE.I am Olba. Not Ol, not Baze nor Blaze. And even less would I go by Olblaze. Please, take a second to read a person's username.

like i stated in my post i only think this is a good idea for shadow'' escape '' since that move should be used for ''escaping'' only and not a counter attack like how it can easily be used as. But in regular shadow walk with 20 second time limit i think its fair enough to be able to attack like normal so that sins can actually be sins for a sec and ''assassinate''. ( keeping in mind that they wouldnt be able to double spark anymore without blowing their cover. I think sin has a high enough crit rate to not need to double spark anyway[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC] Motorcycle.... U MAD?0 -

They already made it so you couldn't triple spark and stay stealthed. I can't see them making it the same way for double sparking. Sry.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

pfff useless? So all the other classes that cant stealth at all are useless? Or r u trying to say stealth is the only thing sins r good for in pve because once again thats false. I know, i cant see them doing anything of wut i suggested tbh. I just wanted to see how many people would still be complaining about sins if they actually did nerf them in the ways i suggested because i know people r gonna ciomplain no matter wut. I just thought these suggestions would have been the most realistic way to nerf sins as it doesnt exactly make them weaker but makes them actually have to think a little more. I'm still waiting to see how they plan to ''reduce the importance of 5aps eventually'' like they claimed, cause in the same matter the only way i see that being possible to reduce its ''importance'' and not actually nerfing it would be to make all bosses kite constantly[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC] Motorcycle.... Um, how about you go over what I said once more? I didn't say a word about making Assassins useless.
But really, if you put a timer on stealth, it wouldn't serve any purpose outside of PvP. Kinda like Sharp Observer.
And btw, which other class is forced to melee-range with light armor before endgame? None. The truth is, until 70s, Assassins are pretty darn squishy because Bloodpaint doesn't heal enough.I am Olba. I highlighted in red on my first response. And I have a sin myself so i know about them being squishy in LA but its not hard for them to get by still. And I dont know wut ur doing when ur in stealth but i find 20 seconds still useful enough most times when im in stealth. The only time more time would be needed is if like i said ur trying to stealth through a whole instance for wutever reason. Other than that u can still get pretty far in 20 seconds[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC] Motorcycle.... U MAD?0 -

Not useless, just more squad dependent. Or at the very least more difficult for them to by-pass **** everyone else has to go through.
In PvP stealth is a sin's single greatest asset. Hands down. In PvE it's completely broken. From a design standpoint, the current stealth/detection system is entirely ****.Some people risk to employ me

20 or even 30 seconds in stealth is more than enough, theres other games with stealth classes that have a time limited stealth and not a stealth that lasts for ever in cost of mp (which isnt an issue at all) and also GIVES you a spark instead of taking one, drunken devs are drunk.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Maybe sins shouldnt be the main tanks of the game?
Maybe they should need a cleric to keep them alive?

In solo PvP stealth is not the class' greatest asset...endgame sins can kill endgame BMs 1v1 without using stealth if they're skilled. It's the sheer damage output, stun resist, control skills, and ridiculous chi gain...the BM will almost always lose because he ran out of chi first. I remember seeing a 1v1 vid where the BM dies to a sin with Buddha Guard on...that's real rich.
In mass PvP stealth really is probably necessary. Stealth is just hated because *******s use it to **** people off.Elena Costel: I wash my hands of this affair.

If you'd take a moment to re-examine my post, you'd see that I did not once say that lack of stealth would make sins useless. I said that putting a time on stealth would make stealth useless.
And the tanking kinda comes with the aggro. Archers would be in the same position if it weren't for the lack of a healing skill.
And personally, I can appreciate a cleric.
And really, what would change if they changed it so that a barb using aggro skills would always have the aggro? Not like endgame sins or BMs need a barb to tank anyway, they'd just prefer them to buff and use claws instead. At best, you'd take a barb as a safety measure if you're not confident in your tanking ability. Oh and you might just end up feeding the already overinflated egos of the barbs beyond the whole "Give me free plat HP charm for tanking FCC, plz" phenomena.I am Olba. Not Ol, not Baze nor Blaze. How would a timer on Stealth make a difference. You dont need more than 15 sec to run out of SZ and gank someone, if you fail you dont need more than 10 sec to Shadow Escape and run back.
What part of PvE needs more than 20-30 sec stealth anyway? It doesn't take me more than than 15-20 sec to Holy Path in between bosses/guards in FCC for example <_< Only instance where i need more time to stealth by mobs would be a few places in FB99 when i solo BH100. Having to kill 3-4 extra mobs isn't really much of an issue for any sin tho.
Also gawd can people with sage sins stop thinking they're choice of culti makes them less OP. All sins are OP, doesn't matter if your spark gives attack speed or reduction in dmg taken. Sage sins will still be at 5.0 with genie, they can still double spark from stealth and Shadow Escape if it goes bad. If you only compare lvl 11 skills the sage version is often better actually. I know several 3 R9 sins that made a culti change from Demon to Sage for that very reason.
Demon sins are only cheaper for pve and have slightly better control skills in pvp.0 -

Come on dude, you know playing sin is like slapping your hand on the Big Red Staples "EASY" button, which is why I have so little respect for them. They go on about "tanking" bosses when in reallity they are just being main hitter for the bosses..."tanking" as we Barbs know involves a lot more than silly-slapping a Boss. Tanking is what you referred to as the security blanket, the ability to instant aggro more than just one entity. Seen way to many squad wipes caused by Sin's glory hunting the Boss and forgetting the others. If you are a tank...you can tank anything, no exceptions...

Seriously though, I completely agree. I rarely find another Assassin who tries to support a squad, especially when its as easy as one, two, three...
1. Watch out for the cleric
2. Rib Strike the boss.
3. Subsea Strike the boss.
=/ That's all an Assassin really needs to do. Granted, there are other things he/she could do, but most of the time (with a good squad at least) not much else will be required.

Yea playing a sin is easy, thats why most people play them. Why do you need to respect a sin? Ive seen just as many fail barbs as much as fail sins, as much as fail clerics as much as fail bms in bh/frost you name it. As far as tanking, well if a squad or barb is really complaining about a sin tanking/accepting all agro why do I hear barbs crying about repair charges, not to mention the fact that in order to make sure I dont steal agro on my sin Im using fists which is cutting my damage output 75% or more which is also making the fight twice as long.
Theres a reason why some sins(including me) who glory hunt the boss, cause someones gotta make up time for all the relogs, and afks and dumb **** that goes on in instances. and Im pretty sure the words "sin go get shades" never came out of your mouth in frost, you were always the type that wanted to do a massive pull to shades, you know to be a team player and all.0
