well I found something on google: http://http://askville.amazon.com/change-DMZ-settings-linksys-router/AnswerViewer.do?requestId=3026691
It is most likely the settings on your router, depending on which one you have. You may want to read the manual of your router or visit their website and find out how.I quit PW and all its games it had to cater to me. I'm off playing a better pay-to-play game where I experience no glitches, no spamming LF squads, lose stuff in PK mode, lose exp on death or anything for cheaper price than what I paid for here. However, I'll still be lurking around pwi forums from time to time. Quit Date: March 4, 2011 RIP my beloved characters. b:bye0 -
I had the exact same problem a few days ago when I tried to download the game with the direct link. I saw several warnings saying that DMZ was enabled. I had no idea what it was so I googled it, then checked my router settings and... DMZ was disabled. By default it's unchecked for safety reasons:
"Default DMZ Server
Specifying a Default DMZ Server allows you to set up a computer or server that is available to anyone on the Internet for services that you haven't defined. There are security issues with doing this, so only do this if you're willing to risk open access. If you do not assign a Default DMZ Server, the Router discards any incoming service requests which are undefined. This can be a security problem. You shouldn't check this box unless you have a specific reason to do so.
To assign a computer or server to be a DMZ server:
Click the Default DMZ Server checkbox
Type the IP address for that server.
Click Apply."
So I used the torrent link and this time it worked. No DMZ warning, no corrupted file. And the speed was very good so you could try that.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -

Edit : so I've re-downloaded the game using the direct link, to see if that DMZ thing was still happening and to take screenshots of the warning message, but this time it worked. If you were having problems try to download it again. BTW I haven't changed anything on my computer/router settings since I saw those warnings the first time.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0
