R9 Daggers vs Nirvana Damage Output ?

Ok, well I used the PWI calculator to see the APS if I went with R9 vs going with Nirvana as well as to see the damage to see in the end which is better. However, unless PWI calculator and/or my calculations are wrong I am seeing Nirvana as better? (which I am thinking is wrong seeing as R9 is supposed to be better so people pay for it?)


R9 Daggers 2.86 aps
Physical Atk.
6797-8366 med 7582



Nirvana 4.0 aps
Physical Atk.
6102-7265 med 6684



damage x aps
7582 x 2.86 = 21,685 damage per second
6684 x 4.0 = 26,736 damage per second

NOTE: the phys attack is not the daggers range but is the persons range is that where I possibly went wrong?

Edit: Also the above calculator things are just different in the weapon / I wasn't sharding everything and all that just the weapons equally to compare them that will most likley be my end game gear but not by that way of sharding b:chuckle most are left blank. Again, only a dagger comparison. Also note that the dex and str isn't going to be the same end game (my base str wont be 117, was just doing that to put the helm on)






Additional question if you can answer rather than me making another forum. With the gear above I was planning on sharding all DoT (cape is already sharded with 3 +10vit stones so I'm not changing that) Would it be better for me to have attack level of 15 (calculating as if everything came out 3 socket atm) or to shard helm with 3 +10vit which would make my hp just over 10k rather than 9679(with everything at +10) but would make my attack level 12 instead of 15?

    You forgot the 30 attack levels in R9 (and jonas blessing)
    Why do you have 117 str in your calc?
    For my calculations i used 93 str, 417 dex (to keep your helm).
    and you forgot dagger devotion.

    And you're missing 1 big factor. GoF (assuming it procs 30% of the time)

    Unsparked:

    R9:
    (((8110+9983)/2)*1.60)= 14,474
    14,474*2.86= 41,396
    41,396*1.30= 53,814

    Nirvana:
    (((7301+8693)/2)*1.30)= 10,396
    10,396*4= 41,584



    Sparked:

    R9:
    (((16750+20618)/2)*1.60)= 29,894
    29,894*4= 119,577
    119,577*1.30= 155,450

    Nirvana:
    (((15191+18088)/2)*1.30)= 21,631
    21,631*5= 108,156

    Also this is all without DoT's in armor. To answer your question yes use dots in all your armor, you can keep the vit stones in your cape cos they cost 30m~ that's fine.

    avg atk * APS = avg dmg per sec

    avg dmg per sec * proc for double damage = avg dmg sec (including proc)

    You can further seperate the dps total by adding about 28% to the rank 9 daggers. Attack levels work like compound interest so +30 atk levels for jones blessing and +30 atk levels from weapon isn't honestly a 60% increase. Its more like a 58% increase. Since Vana gets the jones blessing for +30% and R9 gets about +58% there would be an even bigger gap in the numbers.

    Its dps before factoring in opponent defense or "unblocked dmg". Still, its even more insane than it seems. Those numbers are not including dagger masteries, crit rates, or attack levels. Then think about dmg buffs like a barb's Titans, and debuffs and amps on the boss... b:shutupb:dirtyb:shocked
