Territory Wars Time Change Campain

Hi all this is a Campain to get TERRITORY WARS time change to more random times so it's just at 8pm server time.

I am hoping more the ppl what will replay to this Thread more the the PWI staff will take notices of us all and we get the time changed.

Just to kick thing off i suggest the time should more me like 2pm server time.

    As much as itd be nicce for the Euro players (Me) its not gonna happen.

    Too many Americans would be at work meaning no TW.

    Ever seen a daytime TW? Its scary quiet b:shocked

    I've not yet participated in a territory war, mainly because my faction doesn't do them yet, but even if we did, I would be unable due to the time. I live in America, but I work at night, and usually work 6-7 days a week. I'm pretty sure this is not the "norm" with the player base, but I'm also sure I'm not the only one with a schedule like that. I think it'd be nice to have a few more time slots available at other times in the day. Then again, there's a real good chance I may not know what I'm talking about.

    Currently, the times are tweaked to fit the Northern American population, as that's the target audience for PWI.

    Though, if you were to change the times in any way, I'd suggest the following:
    1. Friday, Saturday and Sunday are TW days.
    2. TW times are rolled randomly with the following rules:
    2.1. There is no limit to the amount of TWs that can take place at the same time.
    2.2. The times will start at a randomly picked hour anytime on Friday, Saturday or Sunday
    3. As for limits to the amounts of TWs, the following:
    3.1. Every land can only be attacked once during a weekend
    3.2. A faction can only have 1 attack per weekend
    3.3. A faction can have as many defenses per weekend as they have lands

    This would make it not only harder for a single faction to dominate the map, it'd also make things more exciting and random. Because right now you have people planning triple attacks on strong enemies, which is kinda boring. Not to mention that people have complained that there are factions that are strong enough to survive a triple defense easily.

    This would also "solve" the matter of TW times, as it'd be random and therefore fair to everyone.

    I think ALL TW's should take place on Saturday at 8:00 pm. Let a faction take half the map, then have 7 factions attack them all at once. 7 way defense? Sounds like fun.

    At the least, remove the Friday time slot from the rotation.

    Or if you're serious about rotations, make it from 6 pm until 8 pm on Saturday and Sunday. 3 hour TW's really suck on a Sunday, being awake at 11 pm and having to get up at 5:30 am the next morning... You tend to stay for the first hour of TW then go to bed anyway.

    This makes me wonder how often the 40v40 Guild Base battles would be used (if they're ever implemented). The times were slated in the middle of the week, at unheard of hours.

    As previously stated, the times are geared to the Americas players. If times changes to preclude them, the TW participation would drop and that would hurt TW's. I don't think that will happen.

    It would be nice if the dev's could set up seperate lands for the European and Western Pacific areas to let them have a seperate TW area; but, I doubt that will happen.

    If you got lucky with an European prime time slot & won, you would probably loose that land the next week when the challange hit back in the Americas prime times.

    Well all i can say is, TW on Sunday sucks, why ? Because USA is behind....... its my Monday but eh im not gona complain about it... much

    Removing Fridays night TW would make me complain tho, more TWs to fall on sunday

    Personally dont see they changing anything. atm they are fine with me (besides Sunday) any early time slots and i wouldnt be able to play in.

    What ever could happen, it would hurt some, but help some and as already said, targeted player base is where?

    The current times aren't even that great for the Targeted playerbase. Just seems to be the best for the currently most active TW group.

    i cant do TW's earlier then they are now and i live in the us. if they made it earlier A LOT more people wouldnt go to tw and just ruin them.

    This. DW TW's are at 5pm West Coast time for the most common spot. 9am TW's are 6am. Not cutting into my sleeping time for TW. I feel bad for the Europeans though.

    You couldn't play both servers? You know be a hyper noob to 100s on another server, get some good equip and log on basically only to TW? But yeah, I get why you wouldn't want to give up playing on DW. I don't wanna do both servers either. But I just feel like if the event times are something you really want to be able to experience just so you can do something different, it might be an option worth considering. Plus, you know Frankie says if you want the core connect achievement "alt-oholic" that you have to go to two different servers.

    i cant cash shop even 10 dollars a month so no rerolling an alt on another server just isnt possible at this point and time.

    :( I didn't mean cashshop. You could start out by selling honey juice until you got good money to go to type 2 merchanting. Then type 3 etc.

    I dun care much for the alt achievement, since playing a barb is something I never cared to do anyways, even if it's to get it to level 10.

    But I have done TW's fine before and after I moved time zones (hell, I did TW while jetlagged when I first moved out west), and even the other event times on DW is fine barring the early morning TW's (which hasn't existed in a while). Just saying that any earlier than say 2pm/8pm server time (on the server I prefer to play on) and it would be bad.

    Okay, maybe not bad, but it would be an inconvenience for many.

    Imo i don' really care about TW times, and i live in Europe, who cares? get up at 5 am, go to bed again at 5.30 am. since it is weekend.

    What really suck is Sunday 8 pm TW. as for other Events, like Celestial Tiger or CoA. They really could do a 2nd event on those days, 12 hours before or after the main Events.

    What i would suggest to not let 1 Faction rule the map, would be to implement random NPC attacks, at any time, any day. And the attack should be a lvl 2 NPC TW at least, so noone can go and solo that TW.

    Ruling Factions would have time for 1-2 hours to react or the land is free for everyone again at next weekend.

    Imo TW is a broken system the way it is now. You get money, Apoth, dont have to destroy attacker's Crystal to defend succesful. -> too easy to defend. It should be easier to Conquer than to Defend but that is just my opinion.

    The purpose of the defending faction is to defend their crystal - not attack the enemies.


    So by defending for 3 hours it is fair to consider it victory.

    too bad i am a member of a successful tw guild, but yes do your fail consumptions.

    and yes it is too easy for a tw guild to defend. i got nothin against the fact that they only got to defend their crystal, but it is too easy. a 10% dmg nerf or somethin like that for defending guild would make a change. where is the challenge right now?

    Defense is not easy because defense is not always 1v1. Maybe your server sucks too much to form any decent triples against the top guild.

    The top guild on my server that had the whole map lost dominance because they met 10, 15 attacks week after week for months. Their members got tired and TW lost its fun for them, even though a lot of the guilds fighting were easy rolls. I don't think any guild on Sanct is going for map domination now...in the words of one major fac lead:

    "How is taking a lot of land good? Make your members get up again, and again, and again, and again, every weekend?"

    When a faction is able to be dominant on the map it's because the rest of the server didn't give a **** and let it happen.
