Token Shop Coming Soon?

Hi folks,

As many of you have maybe already noticed, we have more new achievements added to CORE after the news about the coming soon token shop. If you, for example, check the Character achievements you will notice that now instead of getting an achievement for reaching level 40, 70 and 90, you are getting an achievement for reaching level 10, 30, 60, 90 and 105.

You can also notice that now we have achievements for leveling seeker and mystic as well while some of other achievements such as speaking on WC, being in a guild, compeleteing 100, 500 and 1000 quests, and having 100,000 or 500,000 coins are removed.

Thinking about the token shop it's plain and simple that we wont be able to buy a lot of stuff from it since achievement points can't be earned as easy as DQ points and if you by some coinsidence have already checked the JD token shop, you have noticed that all the stuff there is timed.

Regarding the written above do you think that PWI is adding more character achievements such as reaching certain level and removing achievements such as finishing 1000 quests or being part of a guild in order to make people level their chars, which will happen by hyper leveling if you want to earn achievement points quickly, but that's just my opinion, in order to concentrate the game about having high level character that will need end-game gear such as R8 or R9 and not actually spending time in questing which is not bringing any money to PWI ?

Well, duh. Everything screams 'we want everyone to be 101'. "Buy a plat charm, get a free hyper stone!" It's pretty stupid, IMO.

If all of the items you can get from Core Token shop are timed, then really, it will be something I abstain from doing. Timed gear, fashion, and similar is not worth it. If there's something not totally useless, and it lacks a timer, I may participate in it.

I think it would be superspecialawesome if they put Medals of Glory in the Token Shop. That is, put it so that to get one, you have to have every single achievement in PWI. Oh, and it'd also be untradeable and not account stashable.

Oh wait, that's...not bad actually. It would make the game partially ballanced again.

It'd be totally awesome to see all the rage. Frankie making a sticky about how you can now get Medals of Glory from the Token Shop, then people raging that it's only one and that it's not practical and that it's not even tradeable.

Not late by much, I got two days ago. And since, my achievements are:
Sold my Hook and Thorn
Picked up a total of 9 Nirvana Keys
Picked up BH Abaddon

Now I'm just merchanting and waiting for a rep sale so I can buy Rank 8 and actually play the game again.

Though, my genie went from 69/90 to 70/100.

Most plausible prizes.
Blessings: perhaps ones that add hp like JD. These would be a big hit.
Mysterious Stones: Dime a dozen now.
Bronze HP/Mp charms.
Chi Stones
Special Pets:most unlikely
Teles
Smiles

Hopefuls:
Special Genies: They have practically abandoned the genie system. Would be nice to reestablish. Let alone still waiting for tideborne only skills. And now earthguard.

Event boutique gold: This is the best bet to get medals and other non-tradable stuff. Kinda surprised they haven't added medals yet to it or general summer token. Though...I am still waiting for some Seeker flying gear on it. Perhaps they abandoned this as well?

My point was that PWI will use the token shop to earn money which is not surprising since that's what the company is all about and I don't want to sound like I blame them for it. But here's an example :

We have R9 medals on the token shop. However you need to level at least 4 chars to level 60 in order to get the points needed to obtain the medals for the R9 weapon.

Player 1 - "Oh great, I`ll just have to get in a few alt FC squads on my main and get a few hyper stones for my alts."

Player 1 goes to the catshop of Player 2 who is selling the hyper stones for 100K each. Player 2 sees that his hyper stones are being bought and he goes to Player 3 who is selling tokens so he can reload again. Since Player 2 has some profit he uses it to buy more hyper stones which makes Player 3 sell out more tokens.

Player 3 comes back at home and checks his catshop. After he notices that his tokens are being sold he thinks

"Well I earned some coins lets try my luck with packs again". After that Player 3 gets some bonus tokens which he will sell while he buys the packs from Player 4 who actually cashshops to buy the packs.

In the end of the day PWI gets all the profit again. I even have the feeling that once released the token shop will be manipulated with the sales that will be upcoming.

On the other hand - How will PWI make people get on the Token Shop since only around 50 % of the people playing the game are visiting the forums and only 20 % of those 50 are actually playing around with CORE ...

But yea, wondering what items will be on it ..

Those numbers are skewed. More like 20% go to forums, 4% of them to core.

Word of mouth will get people on core. Just like it will for the quiz event.

It doesn't hurt them to give away some boutique prizes by the way. Give token prizes like rep, will cause people to need to buy it for higher ranks. Give them 5 pack tokens will cause them to need to get more tokens.

Profit is the name of the game. I am sure core is costing them something to maintain. And I don't think that little box below your avail tokens is helping much. Especially now.

If they bring medals out in the token shop, a couple of issues might arise, for better or for worse.

-If the medals are non-tradable, but have a high cost, one might not be able to get a full set, or even 1 piece alone.

-If the medals are tradable, depending on the cost, can ppl exploit this and pwrlvl alt accounts to gain more tokens, which then will bring out a new set of QQ.

Can points gained from other PW games be used in any game? ie, someone earns points in Jade Dynasty, but wants to use those points for items in PWI, you reckon they will allow this?

I think you can. I have in total 700 tokens, however, I played BOI and HOTK for a while, and also got achievements there. I can assure you I didn't get 700 tokens from only pwi xD
