People are saying that these will be in the cash shop in a week. Well... The **** Horse isn't in the cash shop yet, HOWEVER, I don't think the **** Horse is as exclusive to PWI as Frankie made it out to be. b:surrender I do believe it is available on PW-CN, someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Nooooo TY. That's exactly what they are, recolors. There's nothing different about them at all. If they were at least MILDLY different, then... I could see them being worth this.

All I'mma say here is, this is exactly the kind of BS reason why they don't want people editing client files.
1) Swapping or replacing a texture? Child's play.
2) Given a few hours in photoshop, or god forbid, a little skill with mesh editing, any reasonably creative artist worth their salt could whip out a mount that would put those goofy anemic pointy-faced foxes to such shame they'd all start wearing brown paper bags on their heads.
For $150 USD, the damn thing should top 20m/s groundspeed and come with 999 loyalty automatically. Pathetic.
PS: Yes, I acknowledge Okeano's point in that it's 'free' to those who are already charging zen in such amounts. Those people are also idiots.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

This would be a "free bonus" to charging zen if it wasn't a 2 week promotion and instead either permanent or a couple months or so, there's the heavy **** cash shoppers that blow god knows how much a week anyway, then there's the casual's which is the majority of the player base, asking your majority to chuck 150 USD to a greedy company like PWE within 2 weeks is outrageous.
This is not a "free" bonus regardless of what ever chimp has there head stuck up PWE's **** thinks, the only reason why we can charge so much zen at once now anyway is due to packs being out and people complaining that they couldn't charge enough, I mean seriously, what other reason could people want to charge more then they used to need?
So think of it like this, you pay 150 for the mount and get 150 gold for free to spend on packs or something daft, fail marketing ploy is fail.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Because people were being semi derp on the fact that you could acquire them in game etc. aside form the rewards or though winning it in an obscure contest they had when the tiger was still the hot item. They have yet to be in the boutique.
I bet you anything its gonna end up in the token shop (if that happens) DQ rewards or in celestial insignias. I'd LOL if it was in the CS, but I doubt they'll go that far to **** people off so soon. Almost everything will eventually be directly put in the catshop or game for purchase w/ in-game coin and/or Zen. That's always been how it works, anyways. Look at the Panda mount. That big ugly thing was given away as a special rare prize for an event to three lucky people per server. It sold for roughly 100-150m coin on each server, as it was passed out from the original owners.
...Now, present day. Do you know how much they sell for? If you are able to sell it for 10m or under, you probably just made the deal of your life. It was put directly in the Boutique months later for several temp sales.
The DQ mounts as well. Back in the day people farmed up DQ and did the actual Dragon Quests, which gave gold, silver, and various other metals. They turned the metals in after hundreds of hours of hard work/labor, and got a brand new, super rare mount. Guess what? It was put in the Boutique.

Well, for some good news, I guess that people bought stuff to get the AC cerberus pet back then, now it's in the DQ reward page for a 'cheap' 15k points, so I guess the Ninetails will be following the same way, unless it goes to boutique.
Another point to remember is that the mount is to be bound to one character. No account stash trade possibility. *Shrugs*Maintenance time. Please choose a line:

I don't think it would be that convenient. Sure, a bunch of crazy people would charge 50 or 150 bucks to get a hold of that mount (it is a bonus, remember, but just an incentive for players to spend tons at once), but nothing forces them to put that amout of gold at once in AH (Of course they are no altruists, or gold rate would not be that extreme... and I am sure it will be worse in the near future). They could as well spend it for themselves and more probably use that resource little by little and so well that no change in gold rate will occur.Maintenance time. Please choose a line:

With the price of Gold still being over 1M, I would look at it like this. CSer spent $150 on Zen (which he/she was going to do anyhow over time), sold it and made about 165M coins AND got a FREE mount. It's probably worth about as much as the regular Ninetails, which I might add was a super-rare mount when I started playing, and is now pretty much worthless....imho. b:sad

PWI isn't failing at anything, they are very, very successful...if anyone's failing it's the players for allowing PWI to milk them.
When Soaring Tokens first came out people charged $200+ for them, despite the fact that you can get flyers with same functionality for about 190mil cheaper because they are newer and shinier.
PWE's marketing plan...
Release an item and claim it as "rare" -> players charge over $9000 in attempts to obtain them-> put it up in boutique when money flow starts to slow down -> players who charged QQ -> put it up in boutique again for $5 -> milk players as much as they can -> open Photoshop (pirated version ofc because they are too cheap to pay for license) and play around with hue/saturation/curve -> go to the beginning of the cycle for moar profit

But if you are one of the people that spend it anyways, its nice to be able to have something special, even if it will probably end up being more common someday down the line. I don't get people who spend large amounts of $$ on this game. Must be akin to a gambling addiction. Why else would someone pay a premium price for the lowest quality grade/genre of MMOs on the market?
I also don't understand why a three (3) tailed fox is called ninetails.
But I do understand why PWI is limited to reselling existing re-colored items. After all, they are just reselling an existing game anyway. They are not capable of adding new content. Recoloring items is the pinnacle of their marketing prowess and the only way they can release "exclusive" items.0 -
