Comparison of Mystic vs. Cleric heals

I posted this in a thread in general earlier today, thought I'd post it here just to let the mystics read it and understand how mystic heals stack up to cleric heals.

BiTC heals similar to ironheart, the only difference is that it gives all 5 ticks of healing at once instead of over 15 seconds.

BiTC w/ 15k m. attack: 5650, .5 sec cast w/ 1 second cooldown

Ironheart w/ 15k m. attack: 6450 over 15 seconds

5-stack Ironheart: 32250 over 15 seconds

Calculated total HoT:

5-stack Ironheart: 2150 per second
BiTC (mystic spamming this casts it every 2 seconds roughly): 2825 per second

Conclusion: Mystics heal for more and faster, but the difference is that all of it comes in at once, instead of over 15 seconds. There are both advantages and disadvantages to that fact. Mystic healing is undoubtedly stronger for the first 4-5 seconds untill Ironheart can get all 5 stacks on the target. Even then mystic does more HoT than cleric.

Lets compare Ironheart to Falling Petals:

Falling petals with 15k m. attack: 6550 over 9 seconds

5-stack Ironheart: 32250 over 15 seconds

Calculated total HoT:

Falling petals: 728 per second

5-stack Ironheart: 2150 per second

2-stack Ironheart: 860 per second

Conclusion: Falling petals is roughly equal to 1.7 casts of Ironheart. Ironheart wins out here in the HoT category after 5 stacks. However, remember that falling petals is a 1 second channel, similar to Ironheart, but it has almost twice the strength of one cast of Ironheart.

Point of this thread? Mystic heals actually compare very nicely to Cleric heals. Especially in TW, you will want both a cleric and mystic healing the barbs, because their heals stack with each other.

Ironheart + BiTC spam combined: 4975 hp/sec.

Final note: Vital herb's HoT compare's favorably with clerics BB. However BB is undoubtedly better than vital herb by miles. It has potentially unlimited healing mitigation due to halving all damage received. I am still doing tests on Vital herb's exact healing, if anyone has alrdy tested I would appreciate if someone would post their results.

I'd test it but sadly they get killed by AoE hehe, wish their heals would heal the pets/plants too QQ

I agree with everything you say, but also think you need to include salvation's Aegis Sphere in the equation as well. Using Aegis and Falling Petals together is a pretty strong buff on the catapuller or tank.

I would consider salvation except that it's usually dead 99% of the time in TW. Considering any mage with R8 can one-shot it with any of his aoes, or gets 2-shotted by barrage. And resummoning it in combat + transferring mana takes way to long for just a 3k hp shield.

That's kinda true for any of our summons, isn't it? And 'just 3k' is an additional 50% of what Falling Petals gives by itself. If you keep sally on a leash, she's only in range while casting aegis, then she returns, right? Its not like Martyrdom where she's stuck with whoever she's trying to protect. Unless you're in range of their aoe's as well, she should be safe from aoe's unless they hit while she's casting.

You would think so, but all it takes is for an archer to just look at the pet to kill it. Also it gets stuck in the terrain most of the time so the only way to use it reliably is while flying, and i'm not in the air the whole time as sometimes I actually need to nuke people.

Our pets don't seem to handle themselves well in a TW environment, especially while grounded.

Just one minor regard. Since most clerics with 15k+ MAtt have several -% channeling as well: Wouldn't they be able to stack more than 5 ironhearts at once and get a higher HoT than mystics with their Falling Petals?
And dont forget sage/demon boni (of both classes).

Mystics can get that -chan as well, and they can stack healing herbs and salvation buffs along with their own heals...

Yeah, like my post said clerics are better healing after the first 10 seconds of a fight once they get a ton of stacks up, but you really can't get more than -15-20% channel without giving up a lot of p. def/other stats.

It's basically time vs healing power. Ironheart is not that useful in pvp because it takes around 4 seconds for it to actually do any healing, and most people are dead in 4 seconds. It's nice for healing cata barbs, but you also run the risk of the barb getting purged and having to wait another 4 seconds for him to get any healing again.
