Seriously is. And everything in the botique is a lie. People sell them for much cheaper. They really need to update some of the stuff here. And the stuff you get from rewards from bosses and such are so low. And pvp and pve really fails if you dont cashshop. This game is not free. The cake is a lie.

    My BM know's it,I know that I'm curently offline becouse I don't cashshop
    and all my gears gone,no need to bother anymore.

    Yous still cant play the game if you grind it. There is too many cost to upgrade your gears and do other things.

    You can get free coins in the game easy. Know how? Farm herbs and manufacturing mats. All they require is an initial 2000 coins to buy a pickaxe. Farm the mats and sell them to other players. And also, 2 of each of the low-grade mats(Gravel, High-Carbon Steel, Rough Lumber and Coal) make a Bamboo wine, which can be NPCed for 10K, or sold to players inside Secret Passage for even more. Golden Herbs and Nectars sell decent as they are used to make Life Powders, and as you get higher, you can farm even better mats and herbs that sell for more.

    huh i must be doin something wrong cause i get plenty of cash from grinding for it. outside from buying a herc and nix back at the start of DW server and a few hp charms here and there i havent bothered to charge any at all and im doin alright myself. you jsut need to WORK for your gear instead of just giving pwi a pretty penny.

    What Bellarie said. Also, I'm F2P and have a level 100 character with rank8 and halfway to 5 APS...character built in a reasonable amount of time, which is about 6-8 months.

    You can't start complaining if you don't start out somewhere. Know that fable with the fox and the grapes ?

    Its fun how some people"Cannot",play only because they don't wear a full TT set up-to-level equipment with decent refines...
    ...same goes for Venos that think having an Herc is"NECESSARY".

    Don't bother trying to be good at all cost...there will be always be players that will always be WAY better geared than you.

    Everything and I do mean , everything in this game can be achieve "free" (Whitout putting 1$ in game). It just depends on the time you are ready to invest, how many friends you make and well..how you can stand grinding for hours and hours and days and months...

    I didn't expect to put cash in game but ended up doing so, but I can safely say. If you don't plan to PvP/TW and are just here for the PvE side of it.. Yu can farm/grind it all, enough good gear to keep you alive and squad you will be in.
    Proud supporter of the new expansion. Sure it has it's share of bugs, like any games. But for a pure farmer/grinder, that's a whole lot of new mobs to go beat up b:chuckle

    There is nothing in Life that is Free.

    Time is money. In my opinion at times its worth more than money.

    But like others say.... either spend the time or money. If you got neither then well... ur just SOL b:laugh

    But use what you got most of.

    if you want to rush to endgear yea could be very expensive, if you got the patience and just want to have fun, is free...

    Like my pops said when I complained about not having enough money "get a job, you lazy bum!"

    If you like farming, you could do that and make decent money in catshops. Or work a couple hours at a real job and charge zen like (almost) everyone else.

    If I'm not mistaken on the CN serv it's allowed to sell your chars (or players get around it well), so ppl actually earn of the game.

    Furthermore, a friend has been offered real life money to help another player lvl up here. Another one was offered a pretty large sum of real life money for a rare item.

    err umm, yerdoinitwrong... only time i've ever spend rl money in this game was for my flyer.. ive even get a couple of sets of fash i picked up cheap from catshops around archo.. i have my tt70 mag sword, my gear is purple drops from various bosses throughout my fb's and quest rewards and does just fine for my bh runs. As we speak, i have about 130k in my inventory on my level 27 mystic which i just got within the last couple levels from vendoring dq items, etc.. most gear drops i get i decomp for chi for my genie, and yes i keep up with my repair bills too.

    its not hard to get coin in-game, and if you're after nice gear, i see people talkin in WC constantly about needing more players for a TT run, find out which tt drops the items you need for the gear you want and run it over and over from time to time till you get what you need (how i got my mag sword) and sell off the surplus mats.

    if you really wanna make some coin, run around farming the mats it takes to make subs, then stand beside the forge's, make a bunch, then sell em, factions need em for the faction bases if i'm not mistaken, and alot at that, and the mats arent hard to farm once you find a good spot or two.

    Theres also apothecary mats you can farm, i suggest takin a walk around tideborn city, just in a loop around, you'll see lots and lots of plants you can harvest along the way, most sell for a good price as they're used to make various HP and MP powders at low levels, best part is, by the time you've done one loop around and get back to where you started, they've respawned and you can just keep going and going till your cupboard is full, then go stand by the apothecary in north arch and sell em off (or make the powders and sell them for a 1000 or so each depending on the level of the powder)

    sure this is all time consuming to do, but hey, nothing in life is free OR easy.

    If you think the game is too expensive you can do one of the following :

    1) Use RL cash to get gear/mounts/whatever you need

    2) Grind/farm for DQ and/or mats/herbs

    3)Become a merchant, buying low and selling high for profit

    4) All of the above

    5) if none of the above work for you, pack your stuff and find an easier game ( where you'll have the same problem, I think )

    and how do you monitor this? there is now way to do that... to say to some one... here is my pay pal email... send me $$$ and ill drop or trade x item lol... this can even be talked about out side of game by saying email me and we will talk... to be honest i dont know why pwi would even care if some one sold items for RL money? it doesnt effect them 1 bit...

    Actually this game is free to play.

    It's just pay to win. And, increasingly in the economy while gold is so high, cutting close to "pay to get your feed off the ground" but we won't go there.

    I remember selling accounts is bannable, I don't remember anything about trading some items for rl money being covered or getting payed rl $ for helping or offering other services in game. But perhaps I missed that.

    Furthermore, I agree with SinfuINature. There is no way for you to monitor this; unless one of the ppl trading would report the other with sufficient evidence.

    A problem for new players is that they are all doing the BHs for their level. Even if they are not powerleveling in FF, they are still leveling very quickly compared to the pre-BH era.

    This has two implications of which I can think:
    - People are spending their time in BH too often, and not doing money-making things like farming mats or grinding for coin.
    - People are reaching the 90s and 100s more quickly, and thus have not accumulated enough coin when they reach said levels. This is in comparison to pre-BH players.

    New players are not aware of this. Having played with BH as an inherent part of the game, they simply assume that it's normal to do these daily quests that quickly level you but take up so much time and oh hey I have no freaking coins to get my TT90 can someone help me farm TT2-3 no, sorry, I'm doing BH and then an FF after that go away now.

    the only free thing in this game is "friendship".
    I left and came back a few times and the only reason was that i have meet some nice people in this game that i can call my Friends.

    Yes the game is free to play but if u have a life(family.children a job) and don't want to spend all u'r free time in this game and at the same time u still want to stay competitive in TW/PK u NEED to spend money.
    Ofc it's our choice to spend that money(and i have spent my fair share),but at the same time i agree whit the people that say free to play=equal chances for both sides(the ones that
    farm and the ones that spend real money) Some of u will say that u can farm you'r endgame gear and i agree whit u but how long does it take? too much time...time that some of us don't have....so in the end we just choose to use real money to get what we want.

    So i got to the conclusion this game is free to download,install and Uninstall rest it will either cost u allot of time or a sht load of money.

    Depends what you define as expensive. If it is RL cash only it can become expensive for endgame. But spending hours of ingame activity (even when not logged in or afk) may be seen as expensive as well because the player is busy with the game in some form (time=money). Generally it is possible to acquire endgame gear (i.e. R9 if medals are obtainable in a normal way) without spending cash. But then again gear isn't everything.

    On another note. Farming to earn ingame items is possible but repeating the same activity over and over again is the annoying part of it and (unfortunately) not the challenge of the instance itself is being rewarded.
