    I just have to ask one question: Why? Why would you want to be a troll? Troll are usually hated, laughed at, ignored, and any number of other unpleasant things. There are occasionally cool trolls that show up (Look up Konariraiden sometime. I don't think he was a troll personally, but others seem to), but more often then not, they are the least liked members of a forum community. Should you become a troll, it will make things a much less pleasant experience for you.

    My advise on becoming a troll: Don't.

    If you are to be a troll, remember one thing. There's a fine line between posts that troll and posts that make you look like an idiot. The goal of trolling is to make your 'facts' or opinions to be valid and even subtley degrading others. If you have an obvious flaw in your logic or come off as a run-of-the-mill jerk, it's not trolling.

    False, I know of many fine trolls who can apply falsehoods to troll others

    Why, just take a look at the advancements in troll science...

    A good troll is someone who says the most stupid things ever in the smartest way possible. Like, when people read you at first, it seems like a good idea, but when they realize what you truly said, they facepalm. It's all a matter of a stupid substance with a smart form, at least I believe :3

    PS: If you become a troll, be prepared to be really hated, and I will be part of those people, unless it's really smart and fun trolling xD

    One word of advice if you want to be a troll... Know what you are doing, talk and respond to others in a rather polite way, but a very slightly irritating one too (but done so they cannot reply back). Also don't forget to be nice too, so you are not just a mess-maker.
    Otherwise you end as a flamer and can risk much trouble (the dreaded banhammer, yes) or be only superficially appreciated (and by the more shady ones, yes?).

    I will now cite the example of the one I consider my bro, the ever famous Yulk (Do I hear you people say yay? Say 'yeahhhhhh~' I know all of you boys and girls love him very very much deep in your hearts), who causes a stir here each time he posts. I know him personally and we talked about serious stuff (life, interactions with family, dreams for the future...) but also idiotic stuff like lolcats and such.
    -I dedicate this to you, fool, if you ever are on the forums reading that ****-

    I tried many times to show him he was interacting the wrong way, and people here saw him either as a dunce, or a flamer or both (A flaming dunce? The heck is that?). I ensure this is not so intended, except that he is sick of hearing those trying to manipulate and force others to have certain builds and gears. They tick me off too, but whatever, right?

    One simple example, in a typical in game (whisper) conversation after he spots some thread about -int:

    Yulk: Hey, look at that -int dude, man it's so fail, I rather npc that ****. rofl
    I: Okay, enough already lol, you have told me that story 1000 times already, broken record you. Geez.
    Y.: lol, okay (talks about other stuff)
    (then this topic returns sometime later, to my greatest dismay)

    He does like to share his story and impressions, but he does not understand that people will not listen to him, nor take him seriously because they are so much into their 'serious business'. That is a bit childish of him too, I reckon.

    Anyway, if you wanna really be a good troll, be fresh, be imaginative, be funny and last but not least, don't end offensive, stubborn and stale.

    And now a little ode for outro.

    I claim I come here to troll.

    I post a lot of rants, and criticize this company for what it's completely failing at.

    Some people have flamed me, but that's the minority of responses to my posts.

    More... I think it's giving voice to an opinion, that at least some in the community share.

    If you want to join in, you need a strong spine.

    Some people are outright insulting if you ask for help, especially on things that the community views as 'wrong', of 'failed'.

    In the end, the company that runs this forum has, despite what Frankie said in General, abandoned this game. The playerbase is left to it's own devices, and the forums are only partly moderated (omg, necro! close it NAO!). This forum brings out something... Inside me that normally I do not let out.

    I ran a children's forum for a long time. I helped on some not children, not adult, but not family forums (basically, for all age groups). And... I've been a moderator on some strictly adult forums. The stuff here... Would not fly on any forum I have ever moderated. But... This forum is it's own forum. And now I come to this forum for the purpose, primarily, of doing just that. b:surrender I don't feel like a sellout, because it seems that this forum has evolved into a place for this kind of thing to happen as it's soul purpose.

    My point is... It's a bit of a cesspool. Both in-game, and the forum. If you want to join in, feel free. But, if the **** stinks, don't complain about it.

    And another point. Just because you want to troll... Doesn't mean you can't give good advice that doesn't have any trolling or trollbait in it. And a hint... Most people will give you more respect if you go this route, as opposed to the troll route.
