Are there ways how to be strong sword bm?

I had many different characters but got tired of all. I have never been played as sword bm. I know it's funny - sword bm. But when I see some1 of blademaster with sword I always want that char too. So, I made this thread for asking. Does it imposible to be strong in pvp with sword bm? I very don't like axe and fists. I want rare character such as sword bm. b:laugh

    i thought about rolling a bm ( mine is ~25 atm ) and i also wanted to use swords and pole so i decided to go with an all path bm = 3str 2 dex every lvl. The build allowes you to weild all of the weapons available the only price you have to pay is lower hp which will limit your tankabilities. (not too much but still a bit) In the sticky section is a nice guide which shows you the stat requirements for swords so you could go with a sword/axe build if you really dont like fists but even if you dont like it you might regret it later because endgame dropping bosses in seconds is a convenient thing which is mostly available to fist users. ( unless you get 5 aps with sword too). Dont go with a pure sword build because this will limit you for squads because people expect you to have HF

    But how about pvp at higher level? Does it imposible to control sword bm perfectly that you can not lose but also to win in pvp?

    Sword are cap at 2.22 (irrc) interval which means you will not be doing as much damage as fist.

    One of bm's key stun is an axe skill ~ Drake Bash that stun for a reasonable length of time.

    So even with a sword bm, you will need to bring out an axe sometimes to ensure victory.

    that being said..

    Sword can still use the following skill
    Aeolian Blade
    Roar of the Pride
    Myriad Sword Stance (demon)

    to stun as well as genie skill occult ice.

    as none of the skills are sure stun, you will occasionally miss a stun lock and let your foe get away.

    Arcane class will probably still die to you easy enough

    You literally will never win with sword build unless you are CS'ed and have a slight amount of skill.

    Totally, because rank is totally not cheap and +2 rank 8 doesn't hit like a truck.

    You'd think with all these threads there would be hundreds of sword BMs out there, I guess they all just give up after a week when they realize how useless they are.

    Actually, I have 6 BMs. 2 sword, 2 axe/hammer, and 1 of each spear/fist. This is my main BM.

    Shutup Julian/Fistol, nobody cares. Sword bm's are trash endgame, and if you cant grind 72 mill by 100 your playing the wrong game.

    I cs'ed my archer bro, i never cs'ed bms, they too cool for that. I don't have enough money to double my investment, so i'm sitting at this for the moment. I sell all in like 3 hours and I'm not home for like 8 hours.

    You don't know it, but my noobie shop is right next to yours. I still think your high off packs since you have like 6 DoT, 3 frost signs, 3 lunar insigs, a vit stone and a wing trophy.

    Which way of sword bm is better:
    1. Full str, Dual swords/blades, sage for dph
    2. Full dex, Single sword/blade, demon for dps

    it's beyond me why you'd want to make a sword bm...

    Wizards obviously have the advantages with swords and if you stat for arcane armor + swords you'd be op in pve and pvp. Make sure you use evasion orns though so you can dodge everything.

    Many people haven't ever been tryed sword bm. They don't know the real situation. So, the best way to know about any class/build - just try it own... Thank you all for comments, most of all were fail but ty anyways :D

    most bm's have the stats to wear swords and they can tell you using just sword skills it's not great.

    My old bm had every blade skill level 10 most level 11 a tt 90 gold zerk blade and -.45 interval in addition to its lunar claws and zerk axes

    Blades still sucked i used them for MSS mabey 2x weekly? when i activly pve'd

    I don't understand. Why did they make sword type in bm skill tree? If it's the worst weapon... Sword's skills look useful for 1vs1 in pvp. Why doesn't it so good in real gameplay?

    Because axes stun and hit harder, fists can DPS through a charm, and poles have a far longer range.

    swords have a crappy damage range no -.1 weapon no high grade zerk weapon (on bm's lucky seekers get rank 9) mediocre spike damage and mediocre dps

    Seriously if you want blades just stay with your seeker, you'll be 100x more satisfied with the build late and endgame

    what levels are your bm at? =)

    @Mugler

    Fist -> low dmg per hit /high attack rate
    Axe -> high spike dmg/ slow attack rate
    Pole -> longer range attack at reasonable dmg

    Sword sort of fall inbetween the gap of those..
    as such in instances of you needed high spike dmg.. most likely you will pluck a axe
    you need to bring boss down fast, you will take a fist

    Pole/sword got the short end of the deal which explains the popularity of using it.

    Anyway rank 8 for bm is awesome.. you get 1 weapon each so might as well use em all .. =)
