This is just a little thread I thought would be useful to the people interested in and/or have a know-how in the graphical design field :3

This is basically just a post a question and discuss type thread :) Everyone can also put in tips or tricks on editing images or designing them, tutorials as well if it relates to someone's question and things like that xD

So in the end, I hope to have like a little mini classroom for avid graphic designers and those who want to learn how to make sigs, wallpapers, vectors, by themselves and anything PhotoShop, Gimp, MSPaint (maybe, who knows ^^;) related :D

If it doesn't work out and this thread ends up dying, meh, so be it x3

To kick things off, I'll start by requesting help for perfecting the art of clipping masks!

I hate clipping masks and clipping masks hate me D: I have a bagazillion splatter brushes but none of them ever seem right :/ I've tried multiple splatter brushes but they're either too obvious not not obvious enough -.-"

Any tips or tricks? ._.

    I personally don't have much advice on clipping masks... I don't really use them ^^"

    Anyway, I'd be more then willingly to put up a tutorial here every now and then ^^
    Not everything will be usefull xD but ah well....

    would anyone be interested in a tutorial on how to paint eyes in photoshop o.o?

    Exactly! And your welcome :3 hopefully we'll end up having a nice collection of tuts that everyone can follow :)

    Yeah not many people I know use them and the ones that do go like this 'this thingy goes here and yeah....' everytime I ask them to teach me u.u...

    That's a nice beginning-intermediate tutorial. :)

    Perhaps if this thread gets larger, we can divide the tutorials on difficulty level. I will contribute once I get my Photoshop back on this new pc. xD
    Have you any idea why a raven is like a writing desk?

    Sounds really interesting, I mostly make icons/backgrounds/signatures for personal use.

    It'd be wonderful if someone has a tutorial for making your own fonts. <3

    I have one question though, does everyone use Photoshop to edit their images? 'Cause I always use GIMP.

    I was trying to cover as many basics as I could xD Blurring, burning, using fractals, adjustment layers and stuff...

    Well provided this thread doesn't die a horrible death, I'm hoping it'll expand and have lots of contributors :D Looking forward to see your tut or whatever it is you wish to contribute ^.^

    Well imo, whether you use PS or GIMP depends on what you're comfortable with and what you're used to. I've never used GIMP and the only reason I use PS is because it came pre-installed in my desktop when I bought it xD I'm sure if I give the same stock to a professional(?) PS user and a professional(?) GIMP user, they'd both give me beautiful edits :3

    I personally use Photoshop because it's much neater and easier to navigate with a lot more options. However, I've seen a few GIMP users that still make gorgeous graphics. :) I suppose it's just what program you prefer using.
