It's not the patch, it may not even be your system, and it's not PWI.

It's a router somewhere in between you and them that causes the problem.

Use the search feature, there's been loads of threads on this.

    Just recently...

I have the same problem, i get DC even after a few seconds... I did all I know and still don't work, I can see that there are others haveing this problem, so my internet connection is not the problem. Everything works fine with my internet, I did not change anything to my computer or game settings. Maybe the new patch is the problem, I really wish that this will be solve as soon as possible.
I read something about changing / alow server port (29000), but i don't know how can I change / alow this port on my computer, can anyone post a sort tutorial pls ? I have a windows 7.

There are almost 2 weeks now...pls if someone know how can I solve this issuse, post here a mesage.

    Thank you very much !

You can send in a ticket to tech support, and we will ask you for traceroutes for the servers that you play on.

Please fully describe what you have tried so far and what errors you may have gotten when you send in a ticket! b:victory
Do you need help learning about patching the game, installing it, changing antivirus/firewall settings, changing network settings, learn how to use a computer, keeping your PC maintained and more?

To the OP: I have the same problem. The weird thing is, I also have Comcast as my ISP. I don't think the problem was from the latest patch because I could play consistently in my friend's house. Maybe comcast just sucks. omg, there i said it shutup.gif

If you have tried my previous solution (scroll up for the quote) and still keep getting DCed, then please submit a traceroute from your computer to our servers in a ticket to Tech Support.

    Cheers!

Use the same traceroute to connect to the server you usually do from where you are located. If you need more assistance, submit a ticket, and I'll be glad to explain this more.

    Cheers!

Well, I submitted a ticket and I got a reply which was basically a copy/paste of the advice I got on forums too.
I restarted the computer a million times, unplugged the network cable, added PWI as exception in the antivirus, I even played without any kind of antivirus/firewall for an hour, I verified the game, I reinstalled the game without antivirus, I set all graphic settings to minimum and I am still disconnecting (sometimes once at 15 min, sometimes 10 seconds after I log back on).

These are the last hops of my tracert when the game works and doesn't dc (even if it times out at node 11, it's not disconnecting me):
    7 1 ms 1 ms 1 ms 209.130.173.109
    8 137 ms 141 ms 135 ms po2-40G.ar4.NYC1.gblx.net [67.16.132.174]
    9 211 ms 205 ms 204 ms 67.17.192.54
    10 114 ms 114 ms 115 ms border1.pc2-bbnet2.nyj001.pnap.net [216.52.95.73 ]
    11 * * * Request timed out.
    12 * * * Request timed out.
    13 * *

When I dc, the tracert stops at node 8. I remember there was someone else talking about dcs and he had problems passing the exact same hop (67.16.132.174) which is located in USA:

    IP Address 67.16.132.174
    Host po2-40G.ar4.NYC1.gblx.net
    Location US US, United States
    City -, - -
    Organization Global Crossing
    ISP Global Crossing

Also, after DCing if I try to log on another server it shows Harshlands, Raging Tide and Dreamweaver down on the list and the others are ok, I can log there just fine.

So seriously, I doubt these disconnections have anything to do with my computer or my network :)

Hope you fix this soon, it's been almost 3 weeks now.

pwe can't fix problems which aren`t in their own networks, 67.17.192.54 is a company between us and PWE eastcoast servers. Its probably misconfigured or messed up router. My scan shows that it si probably a CISCO router.

    Device type: broadband router|router|switch|VoIP adapter|WAP
Running (JUST GUESSING) : Cisco IOS 12.X|11.X (95%), Cisco embedded (95%), Cisco CatOS (95%)
the only real solution is to reroute your trafic around it. there are couple solutions to that and i`ll be happy to tell u how. just pm me here or ingame

Thanks deant, I mailed you in game. It's true that you can't blame PWE for some intermediate defect, but it's also true that the advice they gave about restarting the computer when it was obvious that the problem was in between was useless too. First step to start a cure is having the correct diagnostic. Anyway, I have no idea what's that CISCO thing you wrote there, I'll just wait for your reply :)

It can be difficult to keep track of the advice we offer on the forums and the advice we offer in a ticket. Not everyone post to the forums first and then submits a ticket. Some just submit tickets, others only post to forums.

When you submit a ticket, please be sure to clearly tell us what actions you have already taken, otherwise (to ensure we cover our bases) we will start with the simpler solutions. Clearly stating the steps you have already taken, will expedite our ability to assist you.

Please post your full traceroute (be sure you do the traceroute when you experience the lag/dc) and let us know the following:

How are you connected to the internet?

Where are you connecting from? Home? University? Work?

    Cheers!

NANA I posted in forums and I posted a ticket. then I found a solution myself. if u were willing to help u had to read carefully what we were posting here and u would understand the problem. this what u have there is called Bureaucracy, and i`m not wasting my mental health to fight with Bureaucracy.
