All you really need to know is:

Players do 2 mob quests daily, and an exam question. This gets contribution points, contribution points, merit, and 2 of the player's race's building material.

The Building material is donated through the NPC inside the base. The Construction points are donated to the same NPC. The Quests are taken by the Faction Monolith, in the center of the base. The NPC inside the base also has a quest requiring a mirage or mysterious chip for additional contribution points.

The player can spend contribution points inside the base for special items, such as Arrows, hour long buffs, training (kill an easy mob for 10k exp), and other stuff.

As for upgrading, once the Construction Points are maxed out, you can upgrade if you have sufficient materials. Then your base gets a level and a point to upgrade a wing. Some levels require two points to upgrade wings. I'd suggest the Hall of Loyalty be upgraded first, it makes upgrading the base later, faster.

Each upgrade also costs coins. Lots of coins.

You need to have 30 people doing faction quest each day to keep the base HP from dropping. Or one person with 30 alts.

The only three parts worth upgrading are the Hall of Loyalty, the Alchemy Labs, and the Heavenly Vault.

The Hall gives increased exp for the base and supposedly ups the base def for base wars (which are yet to be implemented). The Alchemy Labs give really nice pots and buffs. And the Heavenly Vault has good arrows and fash among other things.

If you mean changing one base material to another, you can't. They're tied to the race of the character who does the quests.

if i remember correctly its the heavenly vault that the leader can use to exchange mats in a 2:1 ratio, such as exchanging 10k TB mat for EG and getting 5k

my faction leader did this back when our base was still low lv (its about 2/3rd to lv15 atm) when we had allot of archers and clerics complaining about how they weren't able to turn in mats

I assume a leader is able to withdraw materials from the faction base manager in the hall of loyalty and take them to the heavenly vault where they are able to convert them. This can definitely be done at level 1 since we were able to upgrade a faction wing before the faction had any earthguard in it (so Tellus wood needed for upgrading must have come from conversion).

Yeah, our elf mats are almost always double what the rest are. Lol.
I do think the alchemy labs is a really great tool, I love the buffs.

And what does Recycle do?

the 2:1 ratio answer is rite the leader can exchange 2 of any mat for 1 of another so if u have too much plume go to heavenly vault and exchange that for another mat u need
