Hey guys!
Anyone know any catlike pets? Like cheetah like, tiger like, lion like, idk, just catlike:P
I noticed the lynxus around city of the lost en broken bridge, though they have horrible stats, specially a very low attack. Anyone know a catlike pet with quite good attack?
Thanks in advance!!

There's a rare pet, the Tabby Plumbdrop, that's a kitten. It has pretty good stats and comes with some nice skills (mainly debuff, iirc). The one downside is that as a rare, it'll be a little expensive.
Other than that, the closest thing to a cat are the lynxus type mobs (body frame anyway). There are some Grimalkins around level 40 that some people like as a pulling pet. The Kowlin is a level 60 rare pet of this type.0 -
You could always try taming for them if you don't want to buy. That's how I got all of mine. The kowlin is probably the sexiest pet in game. Others are cute, especially the bear cub, but yes, those two (kitten and kowlin) are the most "cat-like" of the mobs in game.0

Thanks guys,
the tabby is not tough enough b:chuckle though the knowlin looks really cool! Is it good for grinding? According to ecatomb its DPS is a bit less than the magmite (I use that now) though it is a lot faster. Anyone can comment on grinding with a knowlin? Thanks!0 -
The kownlin is REALLY... and I mean REALLY REALLY REALLY squishy xD I had one once and never enjoyed grinding with it simply for the fact I was healing more then actually DD'ing.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
Thanks Silvychar for the awesome sig

I liked the lynxus - they're very decent attackers. Not quite as good as the wolves in terms of having overlevelled skills, though.
For looks, yes, the tabby or the kowlin for sure.
Sadly, the realllllly nice catlike mob, a cheetah, isn't tamable in this version; there's a couple of boss instances of it - the only one I can remember right now is pumot:

Very very pretty. And not tamable.
There's the swift jaguar mount as well, of course, in the cash-shop.0 -

Thanks! You liked the lynxus? Their stat-circle didnt really shine anywhere. I dont want to level a lynxus 60 levels to find out my magmite is way beter, though indeed I like the looks of them (specially the yellow and red ones).
And I am saving up for a herc so spending 1 mil on a kowlin is not the smartest thing to do, figuring I have a magmite level 68 with bash 4 and realm 4.0 -
Well, you can't tank with them - but although they have relatively low attack they have very nice attack speed, and that makes up for it a lot.
And they do come with decent skills. But no, I can't really recommend them as a primary pet, especially compared to a magmite that you've been buying skills for.0 -
I loved my Kowlin. I never kept up with a magmite, I hated how much of the screen it took up. I had a snow hare as my primary tanking pet for the longest time and then got the kowlin to replace it (mostly because I didn't think about changing or leveling the skills it had to make it better). It all depends on how much you want to do with your kowlin. I never had a problem killing more than healing with it unless I had more than one mob on it. We fondly referred to the kowlin as the BM of pets, it was good damage, fast, moderate life and defenses and rather squishy.0
