Character names

I don't understand. It seems to me that a lot of the usernames that are on Perfect world are taken up, not to be unoriginal or anything but the underscores (___) in everyones name is getting more and more frequent. Ex. "FroZen__"
I don't get why the inactive PWI accounts cannot be deleted after the span of 2 years inactive or something like this- Because it seems to me that eventually the username database will consist of I's for L's and L's for I's and underscores more so than actual letters themselves.
b:surrender Can anyone explain to me why some of the perma banned/very old inactive accounts cannot be deleted? Because the lack of character name material is getting very annoying to some of the loyal players that want to make a new character.

    As you can see from my name, it doesn't much to come up with a name. If more people were to use an actual name format rather than just using popular words, there would be no problems. All of my characters follow a real name format, so I never have to have extra characters in my name that are unnecessary, and I never have problems with my character names because very few people do the same.

    Just try meshing up letters and see what looks cool.

    It's worked for me on all my 8 characters.

    (Every name I have is original).

    Infernia, Hunnybunney (Lolspelling I know >_>), Lanyiara and Naivety. I managed to find unique names ok.

    Just try being unique, its way more fun b:cute And you fell about 3x happier having truly avoided the Underscore / oVerCapitaLiZiNG curse. b:laugh

    Huh...

    I didn't play for ~1.5 years and neither my main account or my catshop account got deleted. I may have logged in once during that 1.5~ish years however, so... IDK.

    Incorrect. There have yet to be any accounts deleted for inactivity.

    Yeah, they don't delete characters. If they did, I wonder if it might help the lag...

    I hate using underscores in my characters' names. That's why you just have to think of something original, even if it takes an hour or a week.

    When I started playing in April 2009, it took me an hour to find a name that wasn't taken. o.O

    Since then, whenever I think of a good name for an alt I go try it immediately.

    I put an underscore in my Psychic's name because spaces aren't allowed. b:surrender

    My Seeker is just a boredom alt....A mystic beat me to the name, ironically.
    They made fun of me because I wasn't a R8 Psychic...and then came third cast. It's not funny anymore.

    As was said before, just try to be more original. Nearly all of my characters have unique names, as you can see in my signature. LunaticTears was made for the lulz and TranquilSoul was... well, I don't even remember making that character, so that was a result of sleep deprivation.

    But I digress. Just start tapping out letters and do that until you come up with something good. That's how I named my BM (Zektera, one of my favorite names and the name I'll probably use from now on in future MMOs), and my veno (Yinshara).

    The only name I have with an underscore (that wasn't wanted) is Ivy_ and that's because someone swiped it without (not surprising though). _Yvi was intentional; I could have done without the underscore there.

    Namari's a mash-up of two rl names. And I had it snagged with an alt wizard that I made a long time ago. b:chuckle

    Yeah, I'd go with finding random letters on your keyboard that sound cool, or actually googling names. I usually look at baby names, lol.

    This character is actually named after my first mmo blunder, I wasn't sure what character name meant exactly (dumb I know) so I put what I was eating. >.>
    I refuse to use underscores in my characters names though. :)

    I started out on HT and the name Majesta was already taken, so I used _Majesta_ but i was utterly unhappy about it. So as soon as DW opened, I hopped over and hogged the name :D take that x] heard from 2 ppl ingame already, 'awww, you have the name I wanted to use, but it was already taken'. So maybe it's not that original but I like it nonetheless :)

    Also, for my alts I have the very coughoriginalcough BunnyMaj for my veno and the slightly more unique name Falkyrii for my seeker (Valkyrie of course is too dull, and taken lol :P). My buff sin is GoingNuts for the lulz :]

    ps, underscores aren't that bad, the 'added XxXs for style' are way worse b:shocked

    When I got the meaning of melee mixed up:

    I'm creative enough to come up with nice random fantasy names, no underscores or xXx, so I don't have a problem (some of my alts' names: Asasy, Bebba, Jilas). I know many people want real word names like Epic, Fight or Blade, but these are too plain and boring to me. If you're not creative, you can always use Fantasy name generators. b:chuckle

    Personally, my character name has an underscore at the end because when a friend first introduced me to the game I was unsure if I'd stay for longer than a week and when the name I wanted was taken, I didn't care if there was an underscore or not. It does bother me now, almost two years later - but what can you actually do about it but accept it as it is. All my other characters have original names that aren't used by others.

    I did find a veno with a similar name to mine, yet she had to add two underscores because clearly I took the name with just one. b:chuckle

    Started back in Oct 08, Trigger was taken, so for some odd reason I stuck these X's on. I hate it but what can you do.

    Still yet to see the original "Trigger" >.> dam u lol

    Only other name I have that looks half ok is Malluss.

    amazing i just did a noobie thing just downloaded the game and im like wheres the launch of start button couldnt see it i was completly oblivous to it then i saw it in BIIIIIIG circle saying start im like wooooooooooot gooooo me

    First character I created was a barb named Deuslupus. I was a wolf barb, and deus lupus means "wolf god" in Latin. And then my wizzie is named DudeLupus because I thought it sounded cool.

    I also have a BM named KennyPowers. Those who know about Eastbound and Down know who he is, everyone else thinks I'm Austin Powers' cousin, lol.

    No underscores for me plz.

    no issues here with any of my character names. i was quite surprised 2 months ago when i created a barb with the name of AgroMagnet and it wasnt taken yet after all these years.
