Do physical attacks with a magic damage add-on get effected by these debuffs? For example, an archer's Blazing Arrow, BM's Drake's Breath Bash, anyone buffed with Frostblade, or even someone who sharded their weapon with elemental damage shards.

Would they get the amp / increased crit rate for the elemental portion of their attacks? Or is it only full element attacks? Just curious. b:cute

I think they will only work with skills, even a crappy quick skill like Quick Strike or Tiger Maw will get the bonus so those will hit harder. Just no use on normal attacks.

Well, through my lotsa tests, i got some conclusions.

The Shatter debuffs only affects damage from SKILLS.
They doesn't work with elemental shards on weapon or wizard buff.
They doesn't affect normal attacks too.
    Thye doesn't affect Pet skills.

They dont work on shards and buffs because this type of attack bonus does NOT affect SKILLS they affect only normal attacks and the Shatters doesnt affect normal attacks.

    Examples:
Heart is on. (Metal and Physical) What skill you're casting? It is Wield Thunder. Ok, increase damage by 22% from the Heart Shatter lv 6, since its a Metal skill.
Soul is on. (Earth and Fire) What skill you're casting? Its Alacrity of the Beast. Sorry, alacrity is a physical skill, No effect. "But Im using earth shards and apothecary's fire poultice". These shards and buffs doesnt affect the skill you casting.

Seems bugged to me, but my Mind Shatter doesn't seem to increase crit rate for my lowbie characters i've tried. The other 2 did work properly with my lowbie's skills (except for crit rate on Soul Shatter, it didn't work too).

In short: They work following the SKILL damage type, not the final damage type, never affected by shards or buffs since these buffs only affect normal attacks.

Yes they do. Try get frostblade and hit KunKun with a phys skill. It'll show resist for everyone else (meaning he resists the water dmg)

So shards only effect normal attacks and theses buffs/debuffs only work with skills? I'm confuse now. What if someone had earth stones in sword will the buff/debuff work on those normal attacks?

Elemental dmg bufs work the exact same way elemental shards do.
They add dmg to phys attacks.
normal attacks, arrows, phys skills, and maybe even phys classes magic attack (archer and seeker metal attacks), but not sure about that

The seeker amp skills this thread is about, do NOT work on auto attacks though. They only add dmg to skills

I tried this some days ago with poison fangs and the "Resist!!" was not shown. Maybe a glitch.
Although, these buffs/shards doesn't affect the 3 shatter skills.

I have seen in this forum also someone saying Frostblade does NOT affect skill damage, it only works for Melee/ranged normal attacks (I've read this on this forum).
The person even said Frostblade is useless to the own wizard, being it just like bramble guard is useless to the veno that never gets hit.

Also, I think that's why the buffs/shards doesn't affect the shatters, since shatters only affect skill damage, never normal auto-attacks.

I hope this post explains to the guy above who said didnt understand what I said. Really difficult to explain b:surrender

You don't see the resist yourself :P

The other way around also works, hit someone who is expeled with a skill and a buf like frostblade, you'll do dmg

    ^ This

It's part of the reason I made this thread (MAClNTOSH was my alt that I was leveling before this seeker). I was aware it didn't affect normal attacks, but skills DO get affected by elemental dmg buffs (frostblade, apoth, etc). It's part of the strategy that sins use when someone expels. They hit them with Condensed Thorn, then use the water damage to keep them stun locked through expel. So I can guarantee that element buffs do affect skills.
