Petition against disban of sex

I agree that this faction should not be disbanded.

If PWI did not want such a name, why did they allow it to be created in the first place?
Also, the word "sex" is not censored in any of the chats, so why is it so much worse as a faction name?

The fact that they won't return the coins to the leader of the faction is also troubling. He paid 12.1 million coins to create the faction. To not refund the coins or gold that was turned into coins is theft, for PWI did not stop the creation of this faction in the first place.

We would really appreciate any help towards keeping our faction alive and running. After all, this game is all about fun, and this faction is no exception.

Just to give you an idea of what good this will do, PWI can cause a forced disband. Also, they can ban players. This is their game, their property, their rules. You could have "signatures" from every single player in their vast database, and their decision will remain the same. Sorry...

It only means they have no been reported yet. Sex is a little too much out there compared to them so you shouldn't be surprised it was brought the the attention of the GMs by a player.

Larkray - If the person reported to get them banned, I understand why the GM would say its not bannable. Its true it isn't bannable, however factions whose name is inappropriate are usually requested to disband - failing to do so usually takes different measures though. The GM stance on this is pretty clear.

This is something that always amused me. The word 'sex' indeed can mean different things, but I don't think that some people in PWI would create a faction to talk about equality gender, right and the beauty of life in general. Even the mainstream use of the word is monitored and euphemized into 'gender'.

As for being allowed, I do think it is an automatic process. I do believe that in-game GMs should not allow factions to be put into game directly and thus be only approved after a limbo period of a few days (if of course they are accepted). I am sure you would agree to this?

I even suggested that faction, player and pet names should be de facto but also retroactively looked at (as in GMs going to databases and filtering carefully) and censoring/banning/renaming with cute and ridiculous terms all of those that are undoubtly offensive... But again, after a careful warning and dicussion with the concerned ones).

This game has a community that can really go out of control. I wish rules were really stricter.

The word itself is not offensive, it's its use and meaning that has been used stupidly over the generations and totally corrupted. If you look at words concerning the poor, the blind, the elderly, ethnicities and groups of people depending on variation of skin color ( I refuse to use the term 'race' when referring to Humanity, the shady groups of people (criminals and so on) and thousands of examples of the same kind, it is the same, it's all about politically correct words because the original words were tainted beyond recognition.

Besides that, the term 'sex' in the sense you are talking about has always been a taboo... So no, it is not a light matter. Does that affect me much though? Not really. But again, all of this supposedly mature talk is just perverted conversation in a game that should not contain such topics. I always found this kind of role-playing and interaction in general, ludicrous and pointless to say the least.

Those people are better in other kind of games, which would be designed for that purpose (or at least legitimately contain it).



P.S.: This thread contains a lot of naming and shaming... Well done guys... At least there is lots to do for a better community, and you people can work for it too. But again, if it's about pointing at the door of others' and not seeing one own's faults... Especially OP, who I guess would want the game to be rated M... *shrugs*

P.P.S.: If I am called 'stuck-up', 'radical' and 'intolerant' after such replies, it means that some don't read my posts carefully. I dream of a cleaner community and am open to any arguments, if they are clear and to the point (trolling only begets trolling, besides I will never call names). Thanks in advance.

i find nothing wrong with the faction name. like stated above the word sex isnt even filtered in game or on forum. if it was filtered then i would agree with pwi. but they obviously didnt think it was a bad word enough to filter.

This is also showing how PWI will be insensitive about their players and how they actually filter game content now. There are a lot more names that is worse then just SEX.
Bring back my point that SEX has more then one meaning...

Yeah i know i submitted a ticket and a GM said they spoke to a senior rep (must have been a lie) but i guess Frankie will have to do. If he does talk i would like to talk in a chat which will allow this process to happen faster and more private.

Requesting to speak to a senior rep like the GM has said has happened. If GMs are starting to lie to there players this also might start a bad rep to PWI.
