How Do We Use the Teleporter?

My hubby accidently left the water race opener area. In the city he was ported to, he talked to a teleporter NPC that said that below 20 can be teleported to opener towns. So he clicked on teleport, map came up. We saw no options to choose anything, no areas showed highlighted when moused over. The map seems cut off at the bottom, in that the Perfect World logo is cut off. I noticed that when I called up the map in the opener area, it was also cut off though.

Is there something we are missing here? I have played other MMOs where you choose a location to be ported to, in those I can highlight and select the area to travel to. And even in old RPGs, I have always been able to select locations. So me and my hubby are very familiar with traveling in RPGs.

    The map gets cut off in the upper portion and the lower portion if you have a widescreen resolution. Change that and the map will display correctly.

    As for the teleporters, in PWI, you cannot teleport to every city, only to certain cities. The ones that you can teleport to will have a white line going to them from your location and the price of the teleport will also be displayed.

    Here you have to activate each teleporter before you can teleport to them.

    If your talking about the teleporter in tideborn race, just finish what you need to there then talk to the elder and he would teleport you back to the starting city.

    You can also teleport for free to the starting area by choosing Quest Related (or Quest, i don't recall precisely) instead of Teleport in the npcs menu.

    ya it's a quest from the RT teleporter.. not the elder... to go back to the starting area. I asume your hubby ran in the building in the starteer area with the portal and got warped to the city lol

    That teleporter also has a perma quest to warp you up to the floating ... throne room over Raging Tides so remember that when u need to go up there and don't have wings yet. (there's the same type of deal in Tellus too to get to the elder, but it's jsut a big portal down in the... hole.)
