There's a PVP guide stickied at the top of the page this post is on. You should really check posts already in the forum before you post, it will save you time.

yes I have read that axe pvp guide but I didn't think axe was viable anymore since the talk of getting 5 aps fists...

    weapons:

fist/claw: fist and claws with -0.1 interval such as deicide or striking dragon will have the most damage because they are the fastest. besides attacking fast, fists can be used to glitch cyclone heel and drake's breath bash to further increase the damage they do. fists are good for 1 target

axe: axes will be needed for using drake bash to stun 1 opponent. heaven's flame is really good in TW or group pvp. axes with sacrificial strike or god of frenzy are the best (chance to do double damage at cost of 5% hp). examples of those are calamity axes or calloused lionheart hatchets.

spear: it can be used for farstrike to do damage from farther away, or more commonly, glacial spike. GS is inferior to heaven's flame but it can still be useful in mass amounts of enemies or on bosses. with demon GS, you can glitch it to have a chance to be able to do all critical hits for 5 seconds.

sword: i have never needed one

    genie:

usually BMs will use a strength genie. good skills to get are occult ice and tangling mire, which are both affected by strength. tangling mire will decrease the physical defense of opponents in an AoE so it is also good in combination with HF but is just as good in a 1v1 scenario. occult ice has a chance to freeze a target. the more strength, the better the chance.

    skill combos:

occult ice, roar of the pride, drake bash, and smack can be rotated to keep an opponent stunlocked.
a good tip is to glitch CH and DBB right before drake bash because it has the longest stun time it is best to deal most of your damage there. you can also use tangling mire during this time..

to glitch: use CH (cyclone heel), or DBB (drake's breath bash) and then, while it is channeling, switch weapons to cancel the skill. it will then have no animation so you have more time to attack, and it won't take any chi or put the skill on cooldown either.

    other tips/skills:

if you are immobilized you can still use your leap skills to retreat from the enemy
expel is also a good genie skill against sins or melee users because you are immune to physical damage (but can't move) for like 10 seconds or something

demon diamond sutra increases critical hit rate as well as heals you
demon aura of golden bell increases physical defense by a lot for a short time. it can be used to gain chi as well as boost defenses in times of need

marrows: if you fight a caster class, magic marrow will boost your magic defense. although be wary of an archer's plume shot which deals physical damage. against an archer, they have both magic and physical attacks so probably don't marrow. against melee classes, physical marrow is good.
against any class (1v1 mostly): look @ their genie. if a melee user has bramble rage or another magic attack on his or her genie, then using phys marrow might be a bad idea.

will of the bodhisattva is an anti stun as well as a speed boost. if you suspect your opponent will use a stun (or is a class with multiple stuns) it is good to use this.

spark: spark in pve is great for 5aps, but in pvp it is usually a bad call. if someone demon sparks, you can just wait 3 seconds until the invincibility has worn off and stun them before they even hit you. almost half their spark time is now gone and you have more chi than them. or, if they occult ice / stun before the spark, you can use expel or if you can tank a bit just wait and then leap away. the only real reason to spark is if you know you are going to die unless you spark to become invincible for 3 seconsd and gain some hp back.

against stun lockers: if you are fighting a BM who will try to stunlock you, usually there is a small gap between each stun. if you keep clicking leap back, once the stun has worn off you will leap out of it during the gap and escape them. a way to have a no-gap stun is to use occult ice or smack before the first stun wears off to overlap the effects.

if you are new to BMs this might be confusing and not make much sense but i'd suggest just start playing one and over time you will learn the skills, uses, abbreviations, etc.

    QUOTE]

your not going to live longer than 3 stuns in a 5 aps bm's lock and stuns can be timed close enough to catch you in the time it takes the server to realize you hit leap. It you want to break a stunlock leaps can work but dont count on them OI back in the gap or just fortify/badge out of it

actually it makes alot of sense to me I used to play a hero (tank in dark age of camelot kinda like a mix of bm and barb) sept they used 2 handed for massive damage and u macro'd (switched) to a sword or mace or any 1 handed type wep with a shield to stunlock the opponent and switch back to 2-hander for dmg, so not exactly like it but similar, thank you joshcja n Hidan for the advice =) 1 other question that I'm wondering about, u have arcane light armor and heavy armor, I was wondering do different type of melee weps hit the different type of armor for more or better? like is armor vonerable to certain types of weapons?
