Can you make the sick lawn-mower sound go away??

i'll be honest, i don't think motorcycles belong in pwi (come on, it's a fantasy world for crissakes) but they look cool, and people are having fun with them.

REALLY, my complaint is the missed-timing sick-engine sound while they idle. it sounds like my neighbors kicking to life their ancient yard equipment then wandering off and leaving them on all day.. seriously, i wouldn't even ride mine to the mechanic if it sounded like that, and would have it hauled there instead

why isn't it just for the ears of the rider like the other mounts are?? even those who like the sound of motorcycles (and don't mind their invasion into the fantasy) want them sounding healthy...

and no, turning off my volume isn't an option. except for those bikes (and, to a lesser degree, a couple of the baby pets), i love the sounds of perfect world.

    I'm getting close to the point where I delve into the PWI client's files, find the sound file for the motorcycle, and 'accidentally overwrite it' with a blank sound file.

    If someone farts as consistantly as that for the 15 minutes or more at a time, they have some serious issues.

    I'm tempted to find the file and replace it with something blank as well... seriously. I agree completely with OP! I think the bikes are silly but I don't care if other people like them... I just don't like the noise! :/

    I will admit however, I think barbs look good on them. lol.

    Once upon a time..

    PWI was so quiet and peaceful..

    Birds chipping, people on their panther, deers, or just walking around with their cute all class bunnies...

    Now all those animals run in fear when they hear that noise..

    What about all those lovely flower fields that have skid marks on them now..b:cry

    As in any game, they are additions made..Some please people, some annoy them..

    Despite what I said, I don't mind them, but won't be the one to pay 30 mils or invest in packs to get one for myself...
    Proud supporter of the new expansion. Sure it has it's share of bugs, like any games. But for a pure farmer/grinder, that's a whole lot of new mobs to go beat up b:chuckle

    Youd be surprised how helpful the sounds are.

    Triple spark makes a rather... Unique sound, as do stealth, Stuns, Nixes and Holy Path. Hearing the sound of any on a PvP server gives you an edge you wouldnt normally have if you were just chilled out grinding away or w/e. Split second is all it takes to vacuity and holy path the hell away b:victory

    Added onto that, the ingame music is noce on occasion, although for the most part I play with it off and listen to my own music. Still, the sound effects are on for a reason :p

    If I wanted to hear awful sounds like that, I can just go to a motor bike convention. Something I will never, nor want do.

    Get rid to the sounds.

    I agree 100%. I dislike the motorcycles, yes. But what has driven me to the point of *hate* is the noise. I love playing with sound effects on and now I feel forced to mute it every time I am in Archosaur because I am assaulted by the awful revving noise wherever I go.

    I also vote for doing something about the sound... Make it so only the riders can hear them... I don't hate the bikes (even though I personaly don't like them) since they add some variation to those who've always dreamt about riding a cool bike but the sound is realy enoying... It's even worse then the sound the all-class Fowl pets are making...

    i gotta agree with everyone, it sounds like hell.... and it's really annoying when u want peace and quiet, watchign tv, standing at the AH watching for stuff...... adn u constantly hear THAT........ it's getting annoying muting my PC half the time >.<

    The bikes have been in the datafiles since forever, its not a lack of imagination, its them refusing to bother handing out the things they make within 3 years of making them >_>

    Yea, there is actually like 5 different models ive seen of bikes,,,,

    Not to mention the racecars that are there, and a plethora of wings, fly mounts that are there. Its pathetic how they dole it out here to take advantage of the "keep up with the jone's" crowed..
