Cleric any fun after 80+ ?

Hi all,

I have a little question. At the moment i am a lvl 75 cleric and I am kinda getting bored with the repetative gameplay atm. Its only killing mobs that are strong and Zhenning to lvl up. Is playing a cleric after 80 any more fun ?

I do love to help people so I will keep playing the class, just wanna know if there is more to it then just Zhenning to lvl up after 80 xD.

    Dunno, I've always quested. At the end of 7x-early 8x, there are fewer quests, but if you do your Crazy Stone/Cube of Fate/etc., it's tolerable.

    Once you hit 89ish, the quests pick up again. b:victory

    I need to take Fintan through his first SOT run today for OHT; hope it's as much fun as Abbadon was! b:victory

    (And yes, if you actually enjoy playing your class, it remains fun as you level. Simple as that. Even if you don't play your class in a "traditional" manner.)

    I like being a cleric, in a squad. Solo being a cleric pisses me off.

    Well... I like being a cleric in skilled squads. Sometimes you get that squad where no one seems to know how to play. Like they bought their 9X character or something. Those squads annoy me, I usually just leave those ones >.>

    TT3-1 is probably the funnest instance for a cleric. Wait til you're a high level. It gets funner. If funner is a word. ;o

    Zhenning? O_o; We're not in 2008 anymore, dear. The fun starts after 75, when you can use mana food and go to FCC. (:

    lol. Thankfully, I have a good experience with random squads. Most of the people listen to me if I give them advice, especially in lower BHs (I often go to help squads on my Cleric). At higher lvls, I can't do anything about Sin aggro, because I can't nerf aps. I had to get used to it and I'm ready to heal the Sins / BMs if they get aggro from the Barb.

    BHes are what's fun for me; squadding with randoms, especially, is always a roll of the die on whether it'll be a good squad or a bad squad. If good, then yay, it's some easy, if a bit pricy (wines), exp. In bad, it's an interesting learning experience, like a puzzle, to try to keep all the stupid people alive.... and hopefully, to help teach them a little something about how to act in squad.

    Also... if you're sick of cleric, try rolling up a different class and playing it for a while. Lower levels level fast, so it's refreshing, and playing a different style can really be a nice break from cleric's Plumeshot-Cyclone or IH spam. Whenever I'm bored with my cleric, I go kick the stuffing out of mobs on my BM, or nuke 'em with my Wizzy.

    ...maybe that explains why I've been playing for over two years, and am still level 82....

    Im hated questing allready since my 4x but i kept doing it untill my 8x.
    Now im 99 (Prolly hit 100 today)and i love to pk. I joined a awesome tw faction and made friends. So Mostly what i do on a day is 2 FCs, cube, pking, talking with friends.

    But if u like questing and want to do that every class gets boring after a while. Cus the questing wont be so fun anymore, barely exp u get from it.
    But thats with every class. For me the fun started after 9x.

    But now on a serious note... after 80+ new dungeons come available and I'm excited to try them out. What's more, I even did not try FF yet because I don't have enough time in real life for it yet xD

    I can imagine that actually every char can get bored at some point if you do the same things over and over and over again, so when you get good friends and a nice faction in game you won't be bored for a second b:victory

    It's been pretty boring from about level 85 til now. (98) And that's basically because I'm running nothing but FFs to get to 100. It's been a long time coming. I overcame the boredom by joining a TW faction at 90. It's given me more incentive to level so I can be useful. Not to mention I now look forward to a weekly fight. My cleric is the only one of toons I have out of the 20s. I assume all classes get boring at some point.

    Just look at it this way. Each 10 level milestone opens up a whole new world. FFs get faster, new instances are available, you get to wear new gear and see your healing/attacking skills get better. I remember being a total nub. (Not saying I still don't learn new things every day). But the journey of slowly working my way up and actually learning how to play my class has been the best ride.

    Its fun to do some more difficult bosses like in HH2-3, but leveling is very slow or boring.
