Your Worst FF Runs

I remember the funny stories I heard from the "Worst BH Runs" thread, so I figured I'd make this one about FF runs lol.
Anyways, so I had a run with a decent 8x party with a 7x Barb as our tank. The barb was a friend of the Cleric who had been (apparantly) DYING to get into FF for some time now, so we all decided to humor him. To keep a long story short:
-Barb enters the instance with some of his gear severely damaged (he was also broke, so he had to borrow 60K from a BM for repairs)
-Some of his gear is made of lv 20-50 pieces b:shocked
-He pulled 3+ groups of magic mobs and was promptly killed...also died to the groups of magic+physical mobs in one of the rooms where a shade was. Ironically, the cleric gave him apothecary meds that boosted magic res. and still got killed.
-Didnt use Beastial Rage till it was suggested, and rarely used Sunder.
-Things got so slow and SO bad that we had to stop at Cyclotra because he wouldnt aggro the dragoons that spawned, while they rampaged on the archer, BM, and I (who had to pry it off of the cleric ><) Multiple deaths occur from constant bleeding till a wipe happened.
Cleric gets pissed and realizes that with things going like this, we wont stand much of a chance at Dredindra, so the squad breaks....b:sweat

I did a run with a really bad cleric, and... A second really bad cleric.
The barb had really good gear. But neither cleric weapons worth a ****. My level 71 cleric did more HP on a heal when using NO magic weapon than these clerics could do WITH their magic weapon.
I swear, they must have had like 200 dex points or something.
Anyway, we're at a shade, and the barb has all of the aggro. Barb has TT70 HA, mildly refined, with Citrines and Sapphires (4 Perfect Sapphires in the chest, Perfect Citrines everywhere else). I'm watching the Barbs HP, while IN BB, jerk down, the slightly back up, then DOWN, then slightly back up, then DOWN, then slightly back up... And I see the little red bubbles come off the barb, he's nailed some Crab meat. And the HP goes back and forth from about 1/4 to about 1/2... So I suggest in Squad Chat for the second Cleric to stop shooting the shade with Plume Shot and IH the barb.
"Don't tell me what to do, I know how to play my class!" *Barb dies, party wipe*
I typed ">_>" in squad chat. Cleric asks why I'm being a jerk... I said "I'm being a jerk? How? I just watched the Barb die, while in BB, at a Shade, while you did nothing to prevent that." Both clerics raged on me, blamed the barb, blamed ME (I'm an Archer?), and finally... I said "Look, if you can't keep this Barb alive at a SHADE in BB, there's no way we're gonna do Shocktrooper." I get yelled at again. Instead of ragequit, I decide to stay, and enjoy the show.
At shocktrooper, both clerics died, the barb died, the veno died. Actually, I ended up killing Shocktrooper solo, using food before bubble, and sparking to kill it faster.

2 Sins and BM in squad...
Barb is pulling the mobs, none of them AOEs, none of them were killing the mobs, they both and BM ran straight to shade, expecting me and Barb to one-shot the mobs with AOE....
Me: FIRST MOBS THEN SHADE! (after 2nd wipe of me and Cleric)
Sin1: We are single-target class
ME: you expect me and barb to one-shot the mobs?
squad with 1 Sin and lvl78 BM with white lvl70 gear (squad range lvl78-88) i was level 83 Veno
Me: We better get a barb
BM: We dont need a barb, usually BM or Sin pulls. Get a seeker!
Me checks his Gear~
Me: Ok since usually a BM or a Sin pulls, then you will pull
Seeker invited to the squad
At first mobs, seeker still not arrived
BM: Veno pull <--he was serious
Me: say what?
At next group mobs, seeker pulls, vortex totally **** damage, i get agro with AOE and die
Third group mobs, seeker pulls, vortex, i get agro with AOE and die
At Bubble boss
BM: Cleric use Shell in case
Me: you do know that his debuff is magic and shell is for physical attack?
BM: dont tell me what to do, i have a cleric
At next group mobs, seeker decides to log on his lvl95 sin and clear the instance. But instead of pulling and AOE or help with any kind of mobs, he and other sin run to bishop-boss and get both killed. We wait till they respawn and come back to us.
High-lvl Sin pulls the mobs finally BUT instead to AOE, he, the other sin and BM run for boss again and let the Cleric and Me get wiped while BB and Nova.

ahhhh yes, FF in the 80's, not much fun at all really, but a good place to learn what kind of squad to use.
i think the first 10 times i tried FF runs were all fail, all with random squads. From those squads, 1 or 2 ppl woulf be ok so would friend them. after getting enough ppl my level that were ok, managed to get some decent runs happening.
Things i have noted:
never take cleric that does not have holy path, just no, just never
2 BM's and 1 sin is better than 2 sins and 1 BM (IMO). 2 lots of HF? Who wouldn't like that.
Dont let loyalty to friends blind you, if they suck in FF, don't take them, ppl will dislike you for inviting them, and your FF may fail0 -
FF me on 80s cleric. Lvl 80 + Barb who has ironically applicable name joins squad. He has lvl 30 defense ornaments and unmentionable armor. Pulls three groups of mobs and dies. We proceed to clear the entire instance two groups at a time. At XP room (we made it that far?!) we clear the xp room pull one group at a time. I didn't bother to hyper at any point.
FF me on 80s cleric again. Lvl 84+ Barb does hall pull leading to first boss. Dies. We all release. Do again. He dies. We ask what's wrong he says "oh I should repair". He goes to repair, runs again.... dies. My BB is up instantly at end of hall every time and I've been giving him wings. I ask if maybe he'd like to use HP food since clearly he's having issues keeping HP up till the end of the hall. He rages and rqs squad.
FF me on 90s cleric. Seeker without bp pulls magic pull and splats. Seeker giggles it off, I come back to rez but can't get through the mobs. I slowly start killing. Squad leader kicks an archer, invites a second 100+ cleric who starts telling me what to do. He gets to the scene and asks why the mobs are still alive. I explain that the seeker was suicidal. Cleric starts bossing me around ("Drop BB now and buff them" excuse me? you're a cleric too. you buff."). Get to shocktrooper, cleric afks while sapping xp, I get triple bubbled and have to TOP while cleric macro DDs, I barely live.... rq squad after.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -
I duoed FF with my 5.0 BM friend. We cleared in ~20min including Elementos respawns. I gained 1.1%. The end.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Worst FCC run was with this group of people who decided to AFK after every wave. We got to Runewolf after 3 hours and I was like...it's 3am man...I g2g sleep. That was a long time ago though...now I'd just have soloed the instance and left them there lol...Elena Costel: I wash my hands of this affair.

I always FF with random squads
Usally about 2-3 sins tanking and i'm just Pulling Q...Q
works out pretty well *Shout out to all the pro sins on RT*
But this one squad...i think it was 2 days ago or so
We had a lvl91 cleric 9x bm 1 94 sin another 96 sin and a 9x veno
Oh and me o.o
Well On first pull sins decide to stealth and kill shades nothing unusuall
then on of the sins goes like let's go kill boss so we'll just do 1 pull to the shade before the second boss
Everybody fine with it Sins kill Boss
I ask if everybody is ready everybody says yes
I pull get to the shade before second boss Invoke>roar>bestial rage>Notice something is missing ....*squad wipe* Cleric finally shows up and dies somehow... cleric QQs that we should've waited on him/her to USE SECOND WIND and i was like why second wind? ...So cleric explained to me that SECOND WIND is a better squad heal then BB...
So i ask cleric how long he/she been playing and he/she was like a few days got that account from a friend

Have to put this in here directed solely at the OP.
You mention "was given apothecary to boost magic resist"
My question is, was he also cleric buffed to magic resist?
Because if he was, the cleric, barb, and yourself! are all ignorant to the fact magic resist boosting apoth is overwritten by cleric buff.
I have 5k magic resist with cleric buff, around 2.5-3 normal or some such. I get boosted to 15k with apoth, but if I'm cleric buffed even using the powder makes me 5k normal cleric buff. It is for this reason I reserve my powders for either pulls where I expressly tell the cleric not to buff me, or we have a mystic healing.
I have met many people in FF who have 20-50 gear, the fact he's specifically a barb is why you're more prejudice. Pulling too many magics is horrible on a heavy armor, one of the reasons a sin backpull works better. They simply have more magic resist. TBH, a veno is one of the best pullers of those halls as well, usually boosting very decent hp while having a massive magic resist (of course, assuming aggro is immediately taken off before phys mobs catch up, but even then fox form helps this greatly.)0 -
@Leolin: I'll admit that I didnt know about the overwrite on the cleric mdef buff, however after speaking with her some more after the run, it turns out that he didnt use them anyway. b:surrender
As for the gear issue, its one thing if he's somewhat undergeared, but another if he over-estimates the amount of magic mobs he could handle. If he stuck with just two groups at most, I'm sure it would have been a lot smoother. There was an archer and a sin (but no venos...), as well as a BM (who took care of the pulls when the barb went down) in our party at the time.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -
Uh, I quit FC on 94 just because of the fail runs I always end up having, but anyhow, my worst run was:
It was a x90 squad and we couldn't find a barb, there was a heavy veno with us so she said "I'll do pulls, I have more p.def in fox form than a barb" o.0 okaaay so we let the veno do the first pull, she dies >_>, of course we are behind her so mobs aggro us, we tried to tank them but failed. So I released and the big surprise was that I couldn't res them because of course mobs were stepping on them, so they waited until someone released and cleared the mobs so I can res them. We repeat, veno says I can do it and rushes into mobs, I follow and BB, I don't really know what happened to the DDs but it seems that no one came and we died again. The psy we had got so worried about her charmed and left us. Eventually we managed to make it, at slash boss.......someone kept interrupting him...you guess what happened next, I ended up ditching them because I died like 6 times due to their stupidity.0 -

yea i usually find good players around lvl 90+ (very few nubs) but some like to rush and attack right after i Invoke, wile i am casting Roar (3 sec channel+cast) and die but in rest ppl are ok.
o.O had a psy who told a BM in the squad to use dragons immediately after i pull then use dragons (if bm do that and i don't have argo in invoke ---> dead bm in 1 sec)
and at lvl 75 i had trouble with full pull at exp run and first big pull b:sad until i discover AD (bestial rage > AD> invoke> full HP always if BB is up on time) o another good combination is Solid Shield then Holy Path (but u must get the combination right and have a decent STR genie)0 -
a cleric DCed never came back. So I WCed for a replacement, we were at the pull before slasher boss, normal pulling. 85 cleric gets in zone, asks where we are. We said we're at slasher pull...
so we waited, and we waited....and we waited.. Eventually she said, "I can't find you guys"
So another person in squad TPed to go fetch her, she was in the area where the first boss was,,
So finally they arrive, I ask for her to stack me, and I got a "huh?" responce, so I of course asked for 3 IHs... which she did... I then proceed to run to round up the mobs, and noticed she was about to go with me.. So I said wait and follow (insert co party member's name)... so then I got stacked again, and went on, I got to the end of the hall, then turning back got smacked a bit, which is normal, I went to pound the crab meat a bit, when I noticed this cleric barreling down the hall casting heal after heal..... Needles to say she went splat fast. Her comment after everyone settled with their "lol" and "wtfs" was that she would rather die then let me die 0.o...
So we explained to her a bit on heal aggro ...she seemed to pick up on it quick enough. So we try this pull again... She follows in as we all go in the doorway just fine.. all seems to be going well.. But then as I turn back to postion the mobs in center, I see her run over to where slasher walks back and forth, sets up BB right in his path...within a few seconds goes splat again...and one by one we follow the splat-a-thon.
Third times a charm right?
We get to the pull, sucessfully run in, she BBs perfectly, we get the ordeal done... So by this point we realize this cleric has never done FC before, so we explain the boss... She says shes got it, and understands.. And she did! so it seemed she followed the instructions well.. Well we was beating the boss down, all was fine enough, she was making sure to run when needed, spammed heals where she could... then slasher turns at one point, and faces her, runs right in her direction... All I seen after that was her now running out the doorway, out into the hall, and ended up at the next shade's room.....and ofcourse went splat. We finished off slasher, and someone with a TP went to fetch the cleric... She of course thought she got "heal aggro" and wanted to out run it...
So we get to the next boss, explain to her about this boss, how she should chromatic heal, and IH the tank, and she did wonderful... even managed to survive the add pulls with a little more effort from the BM.. So the boss dies, we all port.. and everyone does the same motorskill of rounding the mobs up ready to kill....but we forgot to explain to her the part of talking to the NPC to port also.. Annnnnyway.. our faults there.
At the last boss, she died, And we had to fetch her, and escort her from the hands 3 times (because she "couldn't click on them")... finally we get this FC done, with a warning of 30 minutes before zone resets..
everyone is thanking everyone for the run etc...and this cleric chimes in with "so when do I use these hypers?"
I'm just glad for her sake the squad was made up of my faction members, so the FC also became a training lesson for her. And 6 or so months later, at 102, shes now a very awesome cleric....b:victory0 -

Just another small note, somewhat showing my nubness and also to see why it happens:
I have recent learned in the big room (maybe 10 fc or less ago) that the captains are the ones that use HF on you, which has enabled me the ability to pull said big room (because if I dont turn around and stun all the mobs in a ball *taking all their hits basically* and instead run straight into BB, someone and likely the cleric will get **** on)
Also, I 2 fc ago used shadowless kick to build chi to negate damage with demon spark from super...obviously I had never before used it or seen him interupted despite my extensive history with fc. I had been using fc since my mid 70s, beginning with 2 training fcs. I have genie dumped experience and more than a dozen times run it without hypers because my friends needed a bm or puller in party.
Also something I recently learned, despite people refering to it as "bm hall" in my lower levels, just about every single class except bm does bishops better than a bm, and it shocks me a bit when there's 2 sins in the party now who expect me to run in and get everyone frozen.
Hell was this extremely low levels? because even in my early 80s, most barbs were...well fail and even with stuning and waiting, simply didnt pull aggro off of me. I don't think they knew that skill because they never roared. -.- But reguardless, if inside BB I could tank the mobs fairly well even in the lower 80s (except of course the big pull, and if you meant that sorry my mistake...and theirs, because using dragons immediately in big pull is simply moronic. especially since they're some of the few mobs in the dungeon that don't resist stun rofl)0 -

I have 2, both occurred on my sin.
First one, everything was going fine until the big room boss. We start boss, and bm says he's afk real quick. Only problem was, he somehow got a group of mobs targeted instead of the boss. He ran over and hit the mobs, died, cleric tried healing him, so got agro and died. b:surrender
The other one was just a mistake, but in big room again. Boss died fine, everyone got ready for the pull...and someone activated heads. It's not easy to kill heads while all the mobs are still there, ijs.
Lastly, the very first fc run I did on my wizzy, right after the instance was changed (so before everyone knew what every boss did). First few bosses went pretty well, with just a few deaths. However, we didn't understand that bishop boss would keep summoning bishops, so we had 11 or so of them spawned. 11 bishops will kill you, after pwning your charm for a bit. b:shutup0 -

This is like Micheal_Dark's wet dream of proof that all these fast leveling processes have decreased the ability of players.
On topic, fortunately I have not had any horribly bad runs (or that I can remember). All I know is that now a Seeker pulling and Mystic healing is far better of a squad than any other that has a Cleric and Barb. Everyone in that squad was 82-87, except the Seeker who was pulling, who was 90. Shock barely did anything to any of us with bubble, Slasher went down in less than 3 of his super awesome AoE's, and every pull we did went down in 2 seconds or less because we had two Seekers (me with level 7 Vortex and puller with I'm guessing level 10). On top of all of it, we got every single head that popped up. Yeah, never had that easy of a run ever.
However, as a tip to people reading these posts, if you haven't had a bad run yet, heed this warning. If on the first pull, the puller dies not because the Cleric didn't put up BB, but just simply couldn't, watch the pullers behavior. I was asked if I could pull, I said I didn't know but was willing to try (82 Seeker). I failed on the first pull, so I told them they would be better off getting another puller, because I was unable to do the pulls. Luckily, one of them did have a Barb alt, so we did the pulls up to exp room with that, then he switched, I set up Vortex (dueled to have it set up first), Cleric put BB up right on me, and then the Asssassin and Blademaster both pulled half of the room each right into my Vortex.
So, just note that a person will know if they are at fault, it's not hard to know when you are if you know your job in the squad. Just the same, if you know what each person's job is, you know if they failed. If that person does not want to admit it, either kick them (if you can) or leave the squad. It is really a lot easier to find another squad than to gain that 5% exp you will lose trying to finish the instance, and possibly having the entire squad RQ.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

there is nothing wrong with 2 sins in a FC run.. the sins need just know how to wolf emblem>tangled mire>subsea>earthen rift... bm also needs to also stun>HF the group... most high lvl FC runs will have 2 sin...
but the worth FC run is when i was lvl 79 and it took us the full time to run FC and the time ran out before we got to heads... i died about 4 times... none were any of my fault...cleric didnt BB barb didnt envoke... bm did HF mobs... it was a cluster #$%& run..b:surrender0 -

personally i havnt had any FCC on my seeker that were super bad that i still remember to this day. Was puller and aoe DD(vortex) so as long as i was self sufficient, everything went well >>
