New EG flyer Names

personally i really hate the new Earthguard Flyer names

the old ones were much better, please change them back

so here is a poll, do u want to to keep the new earthguard Flyer names or would u like them changed back

i want my FIREFLY, not some lousy "paper beetle"b:cry

here are the name changes
Old -> New
Firefly-> Paper Beetle
Kabuki-> Paper Glede
Birdie Kite-> Paper Swallow
Butterfly Kite-> Paper Butterfly

Edit: yes i totally failed on spelling "Flyer", but i cant edit the thread name
Edit 2: thanks frankieraye for the spelling fix and for the suggestion to add the new and old names
Killing level 80's with a lvl 60 is a lot more fun than killing level 90's with a level 100.

    Why did they have to rename them 'Paper...'? That sounds totally dumb. Especially when you go to rainy or snowy zones... The aero would not look that sturdy.

    Another material than paper could have been fine. Oh well.

    The only kite I even kinda liked was Firefly, even though I have a Soaring Centipede because you can't upgrade any of them. I haven't logged in since I saw this thread so idk what name it may have now lol.

    I have always disliked the kites, and the new one from the packs I wouldn't even want if someone handed it to me. The new tb wings and flying horse are 100% smexy though b:dirty

    I just hope that they either make a new kite in the future that doesn't look like something out of Shadowhearts/Lovecraft or finally decide to allow tb/eg mounts to be upgraded. Would be nice not to have to use something I think is fugly just because its faster than the other fugly things I have to choose from.

    Part of why I picked the Kabuki was because of the name.

    I just logged in and saw them. Yeah, the old names were way better and more unique. They were better off just leaving them.


    Edit: Well, maybe a better name for 'Birdie Kite' could be 'Swallow Kite'.

    the old names were fun and interesting. the new ones are dull and blah. another pointless change we didn't need; who at PWE is this desperate to justify their paycheck somehow, that they can't leave well enough alone?

    I can't even look at my Firefly now without getting disgusted (and yes, I am going to always refer to it as a Firefly. This is too stupid).

    Here is what I would like to know. Why are you spending your time and energy making MORONIC WASTE OF TIME changes that NOBODY wants when you could be putting that time and energy into... oh... I don't know... fixing bugs maybe? If not the long complained about ones, there are still little things your UI broke that you haven't touched. Let's make the mobs' names fit and have the Divine guy's quests readable, and fix the faction slogan issue you broke... and how about adding EG stuff to event boutique and AH? Why not make EG and TB fb19s before adding some new useless instance? And really... new classes should have upgradeable aerogear also. How unfair that is.

    Something else that saddened me... for the years that I have played this game, I have killed Acephalid Death Knight Generals near 1k Steams. The other day I flew by there and what did I see, near my archer's old grinding spot? "Headless Knight-Captain." I had to double-take. These poor guys not only suffered a demotion but also are now stuck with a stupid-looking names... I suppose, thanks to the freaking huge new UI. Fail. *cries for the death knights*
