We had Tiger Packs on sale not too long ago, then Sunshine Packs came up for sale and lasted a -month-, accompanied briefly by those boxes/chests.

When I started looking around at the potential update content you guys were beginning to list off, everything mentioned seemed reasonable except one thing,

so I said to myself "whatever it is, as long as it's NOT another kind of pack sale, I'll be content with it", and what do we get? Another bloody pack sale? I've only been playing this game around half a year, and nearly half the time spent has been during a pack sale!

You would think something like these packs would go on sale for maybe a week at a time, every so often. You know, kind of making it more of an event and not as commonplace as it's turning out to be.

Anyone else share my thoughts on this? Talk about frustrating!

I can partially agree - however it is also a decent way to get new content into the game. In this pack we have a whole bunch of new flyers, and a new mount. If PWI just threw them into the CS we're talking 50-100 gold each - most people can't afford that unless they charge zen/merchant a lot.

Packs give normal average players with like 5m in bank the ability to spend 1m on some packs and maybe hugely profit and/or get a great item.

Despite the fact pack sales can get annoying and shove gold up very high I prefer buying some packs and trying my luck than knowing I only have the option of CS'ing one for the same price as a Wing Trophy: Lunar Glade or buying off players for double the cost.

The wings are nice. The Fashion is nice. People have been drooling over both since they were discovered in Etacomb. The Instance is a good way for newbies to FINALLY do something besides BH, die via high level noobs, and kill the same level mobs over and over again. (And/or Hyper FC to 100.)

But the Bikes? Lmao. Way to kill your entire storyline.

Ah, I haven't checked the price of the packs. You say they're one gold each though? That, I can understand, coming right after a different pack sale. Anything else would be ludacris though.

i opened a total of 40 of those packs

my 3rd was that flyer- i used to fly around with it for 10 minutes and then sold it

yes but what about all of the people who cant afford the 500k packs everyone is selling, or afford to buy gold? To be honest I wish the game had nothing but ways for you to earn your stuff instead of greedy high lvls buying everything that own like half the game. It seems pwi was built for rich people and us common middle class people were totally forgotten in the process. There is no fun in it anymore, but its fun to watch the wealthy run around comparing how good their gear is compared to someone the same level with the same stuff? I don't even know what to say. Im just utterly disgusted and disappointed.

you want to hugely profit from packs, you need at least 20-25 million, for to buy the 18-gold 50-packs of packs. otherwise you won't be able to resell them at any profit.

seriously, walk through the west arch catshops and check their pack prices, then work out their profit margin for yourself. greedy as many catshoppers are, if you can't buy the things in bulk you can't compete in that market.

(opening the packs in hopes of profit is like scratching the lottery tickets in hopes of winning, a fool's errand. selling the tickets is the way to profit from any lottery, always was and always will be.)

Sorry but I disagree with your statement, I speak for my self when I say that I also was a low level player and had to deal with the packs madness and had to struggle to get atleast one pack without injecting gold into play...

High levels have way way waaaaaaaay (you have no idea...) more expenses than a level 1-80... but most people give up on the gear they need to get (Nirvana gear anyone? still exists? lol) which is way a lot more difficult and way more coins to invest to get 1 single piece (in order to be able to even play the game).

If you don't have the "pro" gear, you get a kick in the butt from the squad you want to go in and they call someone else (have seen it happen).

When I reached 100 I remember I had to spend a lot of real money to be able to go into consideration for a nirvana squad, you could be the best player ever, yet if people look at your gear and find out that you have mold gear or 3*s or even TT 80-90 gear, they will kick you out.

So yes, 100 is expensive, it gives you some extra coins from nirvana (and the chance to win 1m from DQ I think was it?), however, its your desision to spend it or save it for your gear.

For me, the game ended when I reached 100, that was my goal and if I had the chance to reach 101 some day I'd take it, else i'd not even try to hyper it or w/e, there's no point on it, I know more levels will be released later on, but you will need to play like a year long to reach 109 day and night, insane.

So as said, people decide to spend the coins they get from quests in packs to gamble it or they can always save it.

You will get there sooner or later and you will understand ^^

Ah. So far, I've spent about 90m on my TT99 stuffs. However, to even be considered for a squad for Nirvana, I'll have to get Rank 8, which adds another 60m or so since I have Rank 6 now. Oh and that's before the shards and refines, which will probably add another 80m or so to that.

The level cap is still 105. And there's already a few of those, mostly sins who have soloed FCC for months.

And personally, I'm glad for the pack sale, as a merchant. It means I can get even more profits. I was kinda worried since I spent a lot to get my TT99s that I might not make it back high enough to buy Rank 8 when/if the next rep sale rolls around, but now I have more confidence in that.

Well, if you want guaranteed profit, that is the only way. But really, the "hugely" is pretty much a lie. Usually it's around 5-15k the merchants are making per pack. The exception being the big league ones who have stocked up on gold from months ago when it was less than 900k.

Well yeah, selling about 200 packs a day at 5k profit comes to 1m a day, but that's not really much when you a) cannot spend any of it b) need 18m total to get more stock.

Yeah, don't give up

It's hard for low levels to afford the nice stuff, but once you reach 100 it's harder xD so thats why people gamble it instead to win it the "easy?" way (talking of Love up and down, and things like that :P getting one of those is easier than getting 450 million coins to get the gear you need xD )

I disagree. I won't go as far as to say I'm -rich-, but I certainly have money to throw around, at least enough to blow ~$100 a month on this game. HOWEVER, it's my firm belief that spending real money in order to buy things on a game, brings down a healthy and important barrier between reality and said game. The ENTIRE purpose of a video game is that it puts the player in a completely separate world. Regardless of the world's size or amount of content, you are now subject to the game's rules, laws of physics, economy, ect.

Therefor, based completely on a moral standard, I refuse to cash shop (and I'm doing quite fine without it). I'll repeat my main point: spending real money on items in a video game erases a healthy and important barrier between reality and the game. Furthermore, those of us who spend obscene amounts of money on this game have made an investment in it, more so than the casual gamers. If one were to spend thousands of dollars on this game, they can't just quit and move on with their lives without a feeling of regret that shouldn't be there in the first place. I truly believe that the real winners of this game are those who can succeed without spending any real money, and we all know they're out there.

I want to conclude by saying I'm not against cash shopping because I'm poor in-game, by any means. Part of the fun in a game such as this is finding out how to work the economy, something that takes time, but little real effort. My highest character is only lv. 75, but my total net worth adds up to an easy 60-70million, at least, and it's all through buying low and selling high. It's those who spend a fortune on the game who are most common to become impatient and sell what they don't need for unusually low prices. You just need to know where to look.

I try not to complain, but..
