Been ages since I've actually played a caster n went full mage so I was curious how I'm doing, also my skills are being leveled based on what I use. I am going to level other stuff later on when I can afford to buy a skill I dont use that often.

I am level 70 :)

My stats are lookin like..

5 Vit (19 with bonuses)

40 Str

315 Magic (323 with bonuses)

5 Dex

2,439 HP

7,129 MP

Magic damage is: 3,739 - 4,302.

Level 10 Natures Vengence

Level 5 Bramble Tornado

Level 10 Breakin in the clouds

Level 10 Heal Summon

Level 10 Devil.

Level 3 Gale Force

Level 6 Absorb Soul

Level 10 Verdant Shell

Level 7 Res

Level 6 Salvation

Level 2 Healing Herb

Level 2 Punishing Sting

Level 2 Falling Petals.

Level 9 Wood Mastery.

^^

Thats ma skills, everything else is level 1-2 max.

Am I on the right track here? Any helpful tips?

1 Str every 2 levels or if I forget, I just take my current level divide it by 2 and add 5 and add whatever is needed for it to be at.

Thanks, any trolls can smd.

I think you're on track. My absorb soul is higher and I didn't push the plants, but we're about the same otherwise. As long as it's still fun then you're doing it right.

Yeah I don't use absorb soul too much, it's fairly slow but it does make good when I use Growth. My plants aren't a big concern to me, for bosses maybe debuff plant, sleep plant is rare that it sleeps and by the time I throw the useless plant down I'm koing mobs so it's useless in that aspect. Vital and Healing are the main two I'll use.

I'm just wondering more so on my stats magic/str and MP, hopefully I'm doin good for 70.

Stats look good for a pure mag build. Stay the course, I say.

your doing fine man. pure magic build so its good. really as long as ur not putting points to DEX or more than u need to into STR then its good.

my advice would be to get falling petals up asap. when you start doing fc this skill will be used a lot xD

Bramble tornado isnt a must to level until about 90+ ... i dont think it maxes out until like 86 or something anyways. so doing good on that too.

get gale force to 10 for FC too. its annoying to use sometimes but the running mobs can sometimes come in handy with lower lvl squads.

do you have vital herb? or befuddling (both not listed) these is sooo important for fc. i use them both at nearly every boss.

and get ress to 10 when you can also.

thats about all for focusing, after these skills feel free to max out absorb soul (which actually is very inexpensive) plants, salvation, bramble, then your 59 skills.

Well my Vital is at 1 atm, I do love it and will 100% be levelling it once I got some more money. My befuddeling I wasn't actually too sure on this, not to sound so nooby haha but does it actually make a difference or is it so low that I wont see the diff?

    FC btw xDDD?

its really when you use lysing with befuddling that helps, but lvl 10 befuddling helps a little on bosses too. i do notice a DMG increase that storm mistress does on bosses with befudds magic decrease (the [?] bosses)

you dont know what FC is? Frost Covered Grounds? the place where you will go to level up when your ~80+?

Definitely get vital herb asap. That's my favorite plant and it's AWESOME in FF. So much so that in higher squads (well, 85+) people barely need to be healed by the cleric. lol
Everything else seems fine, though. I wouldn't prioritize resurrect unless you've got a lot of coin/sp to spare. Having a higher level is nice, but your other skills are more important.
Also, I'd definitely get a few more levels of Cragg by the time you start doing FF; he's great for dragons and the big room pull. Thicket's pretty good on bosses (does around 35k total with HF at level 92) if you're like me and avoid triple sparking so you've always got at least one for vital herb. lol

Ahh frostcovered gotcha. Thanks a bunch, yeah Cragg is going to be more of a priority when I actually need it. I find vital is so wonderful, even in smaller FB's it allows no real healing.

I appreciate all the help. Stats like magic 7.2mp 2.5k hp doin good?

Also is swirling mist actually worth it? I got it to level 2 and never used it since..

I have Sage Swirling Mist (got it from a random book clip, couldn't be bothered trying to sell it) but I don't use it all that often. It's not awful, but spamming Nature's Vengeance is just fine.

Yeah my combos for PVE are pretty basic... NV > Tornado > NV rinse repeat..If they close ish I'll use gale force but thats rare they get close.

Sometimes I use NV > Absorb Soul while my pet is attacking a diff mob because thats how I do PVE..Devil on one mob..Me on another. But is NV > AS combo faster than lets say NV > Tornado > NV NV NV?

Well, if you leveled up AS more it probably would be faster (or the same speed, at the very least) and it would cost less mana, if that's an issue for you.

Well it's about level 6 or 7 I'll go max it. I hit about 15k with AS no spark which is enough for a 2 Hit Ko since my NV is hitting about 4-5k.

MP really isn't an issue, I mean if I'm in a squad and I gotta heal yeah it takes it's toll but few pots n I'm good or when I set up my buffs/summon pet it takes a bit but I got 7,200 ish Mana so it's not a big dent.

Edit: Just maxed Swirling mist and got Falling Petals to 9.

i use swirling mist a lot ... but i didnt start using it a lot until about 60+. its not the most important skill, but its an alright skill to throw in every now and then because the cast isnt long.

So I bought those Eye things that allow me to peep peoples stats n what not, I checked a few Mystics n other casters to see how I'd compare.

I found that my MP is above average based on the 50 odd casters I clicked, Ik that not all are pure n some got ****ed up builds n **** but still it's an average. So assuming I'm above average, sounds good.
