'Power Leveling'?

I'm seeing things about this all over the WC. I get that it's a quick method of leveling (or at least I'm assuming it is based off the name) but can anyone tell me how it works? I've been looking through past posts and guides but I can't find any thing that explains it.

from what I have been able to discern based off of posts that I have read there are two primary methods of power leveling:
1.) Using Hyper Experience Stones while having someone helping you kill really powerful / elite mobs for the purpose of grinding experience. This allows you to gain super fast Experience, but is limited to about an hour of 12x Experience (or longer time at lower amounts of a boost) per 24 hour period. After that you have about 3 to 4 hours of regular experience time, and then 19 to 20 hours of time where you are at 10% the normal experience.
2.) Alternatively, you can participate in Forgotten Frostland Squads. This from what I have gathered is the fastest method to gain levels. However it is also from what I have gathered one of the less desired methods of power leveling in the game, as usually people want full parties of high levels in this place. At least that has been my interpretation.
Prices for powerleveling vary from server to server.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -
Alright, thank you. I think I'll with normal leveling though. No way I'm paying to have some one else fight for me.0

indeed that was one of my concerns with power leveling as well. The fact that you end up paying at least 1 million coins solely to sit back and watch as the other person plays the game and you simply gain an obscene amount of experience points simply for doing nothing.
You really learn nothing by doing this. And have the purpose of playing this game is to actually learn how to be able to function at the higher levels.
So while I don't mind using Hyper Experience Stones to level myself. I will not be using them for the purpose of getting someone else to level me up for me.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -
When this game first started you were limited to levelling by doing normal quests and grinding. This need to grind resulted in Zhenning which is a special squad method of AOE grinding on mobs.
In those days level 80 was considered a high level and 90+ were legends. Not so any more.
Since those times PWI have introduced ways to gain xp much more quickly, for example World Quest, Crazy Stone, Bounty Hunter, the Goshiki Quest chain, Divine Contracts and others.
Even quicker now is Hyper xp stones but they cost more.
With hyper xp, grinding can give huge xp and usually players use their hypers in Frostcover.
It is now possible through hypering in fc to get to level 80+ in a few days against taking months the old way.
As you've said you miss out on a lot of gaming by power levelling. Most people would agree that a new player power levelling may possibly result in a someone who plays their class badly.
The other side of the coin is that when you play multiple characters (I have 8) then going through all of those quests over and over is unbelieveably mentally draining and basically as boring as anything. So for that reason players will often 'hyper' their alts (alternate chars as opposed to mains) to high levels.
You also mention about the different xp gain times using hypers. Trust me, when used correctly the xp gain far far outweighs any later tempory xp reduction times.
EDIT: Another consideration with power levelling is this. If you power levelled to 80, in order to kill level 80 mobs (ie questing) or in order to be useful in squads at that level, you will need certain skills and equipment (armour and weapon). Forgetting the cost of hypers, I am guessing that you would then need to spend 20-30million coins minimum to get skills and armour - or have hand-me-downs from other chars. Something else to keep in mind.....0 -
