Forum advertisements getting more aggressive

Phew I'm glad its not just me having issues with the forums. Thought it may have been either my computer or the fact I'm pretty much in the middle of nowhere. It often takes 3-6 goes to load a forum page although if I'm reading a thread there's not too much of an issue. Also did anyone else get headaches from one of the adds on here? It was a flashing red/black white add, and incredibly owies. (I've blocked it now btw) b:spit0

Deleting your cookies will also fix this problem. Worked for me!0

NoScript or Adblock do the magic.
I use NoScript because I am aware of some secrets going around with Adblock that I didn't like. Then again NoScript also is not a pure water but helps me a lot.0 -
It seems the majority of the people using Firefox experience this issue. It would be extremely helpful if you include version you're using as well as post a screenshot, and specify how often it happens and when. Such information will help the website developers and team to determine what's wrong and fix it.
Thanks.

I actually use Opera Mini on my phone, aand was experiencing this issue worst on Wed night-Thurs morning. After that period of time, I've had it happen once.0

I'm using Opera on my PC, and haven't had that issue once so far. I don't even have adblock for Opera add on, so I can't really see the issue everyone is talking about.

I only post from work, and here I am forced to use Internet Explorer 8. I have never seen a single ad since I first visited the forums.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Kieve - Dreamweaver wrote: »So, while in the process of browsing 'round here, I tried opening a new thread, and the strangest thing kept happening:
-Thread would open, display correctly
-Page would white out (redirect) almost immediately, and the status bar at the bottom claimed it was "transferring data from www.googleadservices.com"
-This happened about four times on various threads, until I updated a filter on AdBlock to deny "googleadservices.com" any access. Pages are now opening fine, by the way.
But what prompts me to post this thread is, even with FireFox's adblocker running, I have never had a problem with ads before. Now they're not only slipping past the blocker, but calling page redirects and denying proper access to a page? Anyone else having experiences like this?
And to Frankie - I've never understood why PWE felt the need to introduce third-party advertising to its pages in the first place, but when those ads start interrupting functionality even with script-blockers and the like active and running... maybe it's time to re-evaluate that decision?
EDIT: I should clarify, my system is clean of malware. I scan it thoroughly and frequently, and can safely say I haven't picked up any digital diseases.
had the same problem yday, now its fine[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
