Best advice i can give is stun stun and stun, it's what BMs do when they aren't 5.0. Start with either Roar or Drake Bash, then use some fast skills or just hit em with fists, then use the other stun. After that hit em and repeat.

Maybe start looking into spear path...

I don't know if people have forgotten from there being less open PK or something..but open PK against a flying cleric as a BM is no joke. Kiters will fly around until THEIR cooldowns are ready, they will fly around until THEIR genies are ready, and they will keep flying when you've got the buffs to shrug off their disables.

A fight against a cleric is always a fight of chi, and the fight is most often against you as the BM because your chi skills (the ones that matter anyway) are more costly than his.

    For example:

Roar takes 35 chi, unless Sage, Bash takes 1 spark, Leap forward takes 25 chi, Leap back takes 15 chi, Bolt takes 1 spark, Smack takes 15 chi.

Sleep takes 20 chi, Freeze takes 20 chi, Plume Shell takes 30 chi (15 if Demon)

    soo...yeah...

It is very hard to approach a cleric and blow through his Plume Shell as a pre-99 BM, you would think you can blow through it in 12-20s, until the cleric decides "lets drop right as you approach"...this is exasperated by the fact that Plume Shell has a 20s duration and 30s cooldown. For 1/3 of the time you can touch that cleric without him being in Shell...and that time is probably spent flying around. In my opinion, you have to somehow egg Plume Shells out of him and survive his disables without committing to a full stun lock or taking too much damage, until that right moment, which may never come because if the cleric is Sage...he regenerates chi, if the cleric is Demon, he sucks your chi while you're slept, and he could just fly away if he miraculously runs out of chi before you do. A BM against a shrewd cleric in the open map is charm **** and a lot of flying for the BM.

This is why BMs got such exclusive genie skills as Balance, True Emptiness, Reflective Aura etc.

This is probably also why BMs used to go Sage in the old days.

    ^ Just my opinions as a non-BM

Only advice i can give is the same as everyone else, practice your stunning skills.

As a cleric who always start duels in melee range of my opponent i have grown used to stun locks and so can not give you a clear picture as to how to defeat others except to say, "If you give them a chance to sleep you, your doomed."

In other news, that cleric was impressive, i know few if any clerics beside me that would use a fully leveled silent seal against a melee. You shouldn't come across it often since most clerics believe pvp is for other classes. (Shame on those clerics)

Well, clerics only have about 3 stun like skills (Sleep Seal, Silent Seal, Seal of the Gods) so I would recommend lvling those skills up for kiting purposes

    Edit: I never kite.

So how do you survive from a stun lock form a BM (ether with or without -int) or even worse a Assasian... b:shocked

My words in red and sorry OP if this seems to be off-topic...

I will look into it. Why did you recommend spear though? Has some long range attacks
    perhaps?

i just dont see a cleric owning a BM over and over again unless they are high lvl with great gear... or the BM just has no clue how to use thier class... but stun stun stun... i find a good BM to be a very hard target to take down...

I have one anti stun skill but that takes one spark to cast.
Which kills me alot when I need the chi the most.
I can practice with apo pots but we are just doing a lil practice pk.
Only want to use pots only for TW purposes cuz they are free
and i am too lazy to farm or to low lvl apo to make them b:surrender

I take no offense to this cuz I know i am a fail BM.
I am only good at doing regular activities like killing mobs and supporting my skills in sync
    with others.
I don't pk or duel much or hardly at all except for TW.
Now i am serious about attempting to hit 100....after being in the lvl's 90's since BH patch came out lol (or a lil lata don't hold me to that statement)
Now i am trying to get Rank 8, pvp genie, and aps gear.
At the current state his gear outranks me by a long shot and we are either the same lvl or one lvl apart. b:surrender

All this info from these posts gives me new ideas about my class I didn't know be4.
