So I see that even during a six month break, a lot of things change during that time.
I have two main questions for you guys:
1. What are the big things that've changed with Genesis?
Yeah, I read up on the seekers/mystics & whatnot; what I'm wondering is about the more subtle stuff, like whether the game has become more/less cashshop based, aps still > all other dd classes, etc.

2. As the title says, is this game worth coming back to?
I don't need any of the "game is dead, gtfo now" ****. If people have the incentive to come on forums and complain/whine/rage/qq about random stuff, the game is not dead. Maybe it's broken, but not dead. What I want to know is whether the game experience grown with Genesis. Are there more dungeons, skills, maps, events, etc that are worth working towards? Not the cashshop stuff, f2p games will always be biased to cashshop players, so I don't really care about that. And please, no "game is dead" stuff unless you have some proper proof.

I look forward to your replies :)

    No, because...

    1. Gold price at 900k+
    2. Even with the new content, nothing really changed. The classes are still unbalanced
    3. its still borring as always...FC-FC-BH-Nirvana <--daily sh*t
    4. greedy playerbase
    5. arrogant playerbase
    6. FC generation, that doesnt know how to play

The reason why i m still here...?
Well i quit once (6-8months) and came back...and people are holding on me, begging not to leave. As long you have nothing that holds you there, let the game and dont touch it again. I wish i had done this before...

    Why do that?

Just roll a sin, get to 100 or so, start PVPing by picking a target, get close to him, stun him, than while they can't do anything, kill them.
    Rinse and Repeat.

    Real answers to OPs question...

The game really hasn't changed since you left. The expansion was pretty much a non-entity except for the addition of the seeker and psychic. Both of those classes can be fun to play and, thank goodness, neither is broken the way sins are in PvP.

The only other significant addition besides the new classes was the Faction Base, which has been pretty much a bust. I think the large majority of the 100+ player base was really looking forward to the addition of 40v40 faction base wars, but, alas, that "feature" wasn't introduced with the expansion. The Faction Base themselves are pretty much useless at this point and have mainly been a cash and time sink for the factions building them.

Personally, I wouldn't. A lot of it has to do with reasons that have been listed. Game glitches not being fixed, imbalanced characters not being fixed, players power-leveling and having no idea how to play their class, greed, immaturity. But, really, if you're questioning whether or not you should come back, then maybe you should do it just to see for yourself?

As much as people QQ and rage pointlessly, there are some people worth knowing in the game. There are moments when it's fun even if it's broken and imbalanced. I think that too many people forget that this is a game, it's meant to be fun and they get so caught up in QQing and playing drama-time that they forget to stop taking it so seriously.

One person said they won't quit because their friends are holding them back well grow up n move on, thats not even a near valid excuse.

    As to answer the questions.

Yeah golds still high in price, it always will be. Seeker and Mystic are both pretty fun classes, Eventually I found seeker to get boring not much you can do with a melee class that has poor mg def n phys def but uses a lot of distant striking skills..Not to mention it's just stupid when Sins/Wrs and Barbs out do it in every aspect generally. Mystics fun stuff, everyone QQ's bout mana burn but if they learnt what skills to get they would understand you only burn when healing and if you heal lots then you fail even more. It's a fun class, lots to do, interesting play imo.

The game is worth coming back to, thats my opinion because I quit for 2years and came back. I find everything fun, mind you I am playing for fun nothing more or less. It's all upto you, you can ask a thousand questions but ultimately you decide weather or not the game is fitting for YOU to return to, update client, log in, play, try diff class, play, dis like, uninstall, like, keep playing, the end really.

It's like asking people what kind of icecream you should eat..Guys vanilla or chocolate..I like vanilla but I haven't had chocolate ina while..I'm stupid so I'm gonna be a sheep and do whatever you guys tell me to do, why? because I'm stupid. KTY.

Well pwi is still my favourate game despite the fact that its old...the old classes need updating and the nex classes are kinda pointless. too many people rely on powerleveling which makes things way too easy (old school ftw)....still all the people telling you not to play it on this thread are nevertheless STILL on pwi forums. *shrugs*

i say have a go though and have fun

I actually just came back from a 7 month break myself, and to be honest, the only reason I did so was because a good friend is playing again.

There are a couple newer things, but they're not even worth mentioning, cause they don't really add to end game content. People are still hyper stoning in FC, dueling/pking at Orchid Temple, whining about how small their e-peens are compared to cash shoppers in world chat.

That said, I am having fun. I guess it really depends what kept you playing before you took your break.

Fully agreed. I enjoy playing as the new classes though, it's the idea of going my own way (including grinding and questing solo, the old way) that makes me keep going on. I'd never want to follow others like a sheep and be regretting things after.

But yeah, the attitude of some really does not make me want to interact with other gamers, even if there must be some rare gem in the pile of rubble.
As for boutique items, I accepted the fact that I better save my coins given the ridiculous gold rate going on right now (and I rarely make big, durable purchases anyway).

    - When will we get new content? QQ
    - Will we get sales? I got a ton of gold to spend.

    No.

Why, because each addon is released unfinished, hell we still don't have content from the Rising Tide expansion. Hell they can't even fix existing bugs that have been around for years and keep adding new ones on top of them.

Also thanks to taking the work out of leveling and learning your character, the game is filled with high level a-holes that can't even play their toon. And they always QQ about X class being OP. Really it's just because they can't adapt. Not because the class is OP.
Take the time to look for your answer before you post like an idiot.
