i been playing for a couple of weeks now and im loving this game. i spent a long time trying out all the ftp mmo's i could find [20 or so] and so far this and rohan are the only 2 i love. anyway the only thing that bugs me is the constant having to stand and meditate for a couple of mins after every 4 or 5 enemies, i hear you can increase your health regen with an item. what is it, where do i get it and how much is it?
thanks in advance

If you mean HP Charm, which whenever your HP goes to 50% refills it..yes but its very expesive and i wouldnt suggest you to get it yet.

The Apo is good enough for you (and cheap), believe me. Just dont let a cleric overbuff it with his.
If you cant get any herbs (they are cheap tho, check out the kittyshops next to Apothecar), the cheapest way..go to Archosaur and ask a high level Cleric NICE to buff you with MP/HP regen lvl10 for one hour or 30min.

Theres an action called meditation that doubles ur hp regen while idle and not in combat as well as stacking vit increases the hp regen rate alongside that. for my barb my hp regen is already on par of a clerics butt with as much vit and the skills I get my hp regen is about 75-100

I guess that no one talked about HP recovery equipement yet, so I will... Well, I guess it's because people love to rush and not meditate between battles. Trust me, even if you keep them as emergency items (swap your current equipment for them when you rest), they do some awesome job.

Get a genie with a heal skill, Second Wind is easy and cheap to use at lower levels. Than you might wanna switch it out for Tree of protection later on.

But i guess if you're so dirt poor that you cant even afford hp pots and have to sit and meditate in between mobs, you probably cant afford Perfect Stones to re-fill a genie either.

Life Powder is pretty nice to use when grinding. Dig up all Nectars and Golden Herbs you see while questing and make a few stacks.

thanks everyone your answers were really helpful, in reply to the guy i quoted, lol im not too dirt poor to buy potions, just the cooldown on the potions is a little too long to use as a main way of healing after 4 or 5 battles, [for me , anyway] but ill check out the genie you mentioned , the life powder and the hp charm cold snow mentioned - sounds like the sort of thing i could really get along with, but it does sound a little op, has anyone else thought that?

HP/MP charms are kindof OP in the early game; i play without them, and even at midgame where i am, i don't miss them. (yes, i've tried them, you get a few free ones from quests. they were annoying.)

but everything else is just basic gameplay --- genies are generally useful, and their heals (as well as holy path) is why most people bother with them; apoths are just another of the types of things you can make for yourself in-game, like armor or weapons, and i don't use them nearly enough myself; potions is how i got my seeker through the first few levels, i just kept hitting their hotkeys whenever they cooled down.

beware though, learning apothecary skills can lead to cashshopping... for a maxed inventory stone, so you'll have room for all the herbs you'll start obsessively gathering wherever you go.

Outside of City of Raging Tides, there is a large area that you can circle around simply gathering herbs, by the time you come around again they are re-spawned, and there are several Nectar and Golden Herb spawn points. None of the mobs are aggressive, and you can make some money as well, not a whole lot though, off the lowbie crafting materials that also spawn there. Pig iron, coal dust, etc.

I had a set of 60 loot armor when I was 7x that had 5 +HP adds that I used to use for AoE grinding. It didn't help much in combat, but if you stopped to meditate you would recover full hp in about 10-15 seconds. That was pretty cool to use. I npc'd all of it after I hit 90 though.

It was actually somewhat effective over hh70 full set even though you'd lose HP and take more damage, you could grind more and rest much less.

But, that was when it took you many months to hit 7x. Now you can do that in an afternoon.
I post in forums. This one and others. That's why I post.
