Genie skills for a Barb in PVE

Ignore my avatar. I'm still training a nooby barb, so until it gets to higher levels, my veno shall be le avatar.

I would like to ask your opinions on genie skills for a barbarian. Basically, I know sometimes, in a certain squad, there might not be a competent veno who is able to lure well, so I would like to be able to take over this job well, because it would be horrid to have a fail lure or something.

Currently I have a Longevity (I think?) genie that has Eruption Fist, which is good, but the cooldown and energy cost isn't something very worthwhile if you're doing lures in say, a BH where there are quite a number of mobs to remove before I can go in and Roar and be able to tank the amount of aggro.

So what skills should I opt to have for my genie. Is a Longevity one advisable? Or should I choose another type genie, say a Vit-based one or a Mag-based one?

    Tree of protection is a must
    Earthflame is good for pulling if u start with a zeal
    Solid shield is pretty epic, its like a mini invoke
    Hold path is nice for for delta when u need to run away while invoked for pulling
    And could eruption is great for getting much needed chi for an emergency invoke or just more chi to ream and devour with

    other skills worth considering are if you plan on doing TW
    true emptiness
    and
    absolute domain

    Tangeling mire is also nice for aoe grinding in map 3
    Killing level 80's with a lvl 60 is a lot more fun than killing level 90's with a level 100.

    FYI, a Zeal's Earthflame is the only genie skill that can "lure". Just in case you didn't know (your post sounded like you didn't), using Eruption Fist is equivalent to running in there with a level 1 bow and shooting a mob. The whole group will come after you. Just trying to prevent a "fail lure" situation, as you called it. b:cute
