Plain and simple which one is the better PvP class and why?

    Seeker shines only due his AOE and debuffs so only pve

    Psy can randomy one shot everything :3 but is harder to play due low HP.

    So..if its only about pvp..then Psy imo.
    If i m trolling and spamming on forum...then i cant sleep and need a good laugh

    Psychic is an awesome PvP class. Like all arcanes, you'll suffer from low HP unless you can refine highly, but with good refines, and fully sharded with Jade of Steady Defense, we're VERY hard to kill and pack quite a punch to finish off opponents.

    In short, a well geared and well played psychic is a great PvP class.

    Hmm ok then ill start saving for some r8 for psy then, since seeker appears to be sucky end game PvP.

    It all depends on preference, really...

    Seeker PvP = Strategy, quick thinking, and use of skills

    Psy PvP = As previous post above me said, pretty much one shot everything.

    So if you like boring pvp's that don't take much, then go with Psy. If you like fun pvp's that makes winning that much more enjoyable, then Seeker.

    Before the flaming starts, yes I'm a Seeker who has lost duels. BUT I have also won them as well. That's how duels/PvP should be; you win some, you lose some.

    Don't know where people get the "Psychic 1-shots everything" from. We're the fastest of the arcane classes, but a wizard can still have bigger single shots and bigger aoes.

    Psychic is very much a thinking man's class in pvp. Lots of options on how to attack and defend.

    No offense, but how can a lvl73 judge about a pvp end-game player this way?

    Psy is defently not borring in pvp and seeker is defently not more enjoyable than any other class.
    Seeker is a class between Barb and BM. He is pve wise awesome to use in instances for tanking, debuff, AOE. Pvp wise he gives nothing in end game. I dont see any useage in TW for them as well but i m sure someone can enlighten me here.

    @UrDian he was talking only about psy and seeker, not wizzards, so dont bring in any other classes in. As for one-shot, cause i know many psy who one shot everything that walks around.

Psychics for pvp is kind of boring lol. You either let your opponent kill themselves. Or nuke them to death. Not very challenging. Seekers... i have yet to see an end game seeker outside of an instance. Had one in a nirvana squad, and was actually let down with how useless it seemed to me. Id have taken another 4-5aps class in a second.

    honestly, i dont think its his "alt".
    As for psy, i dont understand it. i saw alot of psys who say its fun. cant judge upon it unless you are a psy (so i didnt).
    as i said, seekers are good for tanking, aoe and debuff...not as DD much.

    Now question out of interest cause i never squaded with seeker in nirvana. Do their debuffs work on bosses? or is it like with HF and Amp?

    Hi, my name is ....well, most people know my Psychic. I won't mention names. She's purple and likes to use Red Tide a lot.
    I've played this Seeker since the day it first came out. And yes...no alt FC.

    My Psychic oneshots things and has wonderful survivability considering she's a Psychic. When she was 3x, those little scorpion things that chased you around? I couldn't handle three of them.

    My Seeker doesn't oneshot anything, and has amazing survivability due to an insane amount of VIT points for her level. The scary part is, I can tank almost anything....and I'm wearing Light Armor. (YES, LIGHT ARMOR! Don't you judge me!)
    When this Seeker was 3x, she could handle six of those scorpion things. (Still wearing LA.)

    Can my Psychic PvP? Oh hell yes...especially because she's a 9x purple fish of exploding Red Tide doomness. Will I die to every assassin? Not if I AoE bleed them first!

    Can my Seeker PvP? Oh hell....not...quite yet. .-. In Harshlands, it's not a good idea PvPing as a lowbie....'specially with people like urDian lurking around. Ijs.

    But I've seen Seekers PvP. I've also fought Seekers PvPing, and despite my insane amount of HP for my level, they still cut through it like butter with Gemini Slash, and can (EEEEEEK!) bounce back all the status effects my barriers put on him back at me, and that's just no fun at all.

    I enjoy both toons...pretty equally. I mean my Psychic is one of my strongest and most favorite toons, but I won't say they're better PvP wise... Seekers haven't quite shown out yet....just like it took an ENTIRE YEAR for people to realize....

    "...hey wait a second, I was just oneshot by that Psychic...and...they didn't even hit me!"

    I feel the same might be said for the Seeker in due time.
    So to all of those Earthguards who didn't steal the Psychic's insanely short casting time, Venomancers pet tanking ability, and Cleric sissy heal, (*cough Mystics*) Congratulations. In a year, people will probably **** themselves upon sighting you.


    PS: Psychics can't oneshot everything.
    If you're being oneshot by a Psychic you are: A) 10 levels lower than Psychic or B) Not a Wizard/Cleric/Venomancer/Psychic/Mystic
    If you're not an arcane class...you probably deserve being oneshot anyway.

    I mean it's not like our skills are that difficult to figure out. Earth and Water people....that's it. Literally.
    They made fun of me because I wasn't a R8 Psychic...and then came third cast. It's not funny anymore.

    I dont see any useage in TW for them as well but i m sure someone can enlighten me here.

    My seeker got 30 kills in two TWs.... must have found somthing usefull out of em..


    That B gate rush in enemy base with a chain of VERY fast AoEs is quite deadly actually... Plus they are pretty hard to kill..

    if my experience at this lvl is anything to go by seeker is going to be fun end game. at lvl 72 i have 5030hp and was tanking 2 9x barbs i have killed a few 9x sins, psy and mystic are a lot harder to kill but manageable with effort xD. and end game i'm only going to get stronger.

    so for one this seeker is looking forward to end game and canceling any +ed weaps that attack me with 4th stance once i get it. b:laugh

    Seekers have some short comings in PvP (limited number of reliable stuns, fail antistun move, etc...), but that doesnt mean they are worthless for it. Far from it. I too see seekers being feared some time from now, simply because they are a complex class to deal with.

    A sin is around somewhere in stealth? Pop Edged Blur and watch him appear.
    A arcane is kiting you? Use range physical skills
    A HA is wailing on you? Use magic.


    I know that is WAY WAY WAY over simplifying the class, but those are examples of the versatility of the class. Seekers are the class that, while they may not hit the hardest, are able to adapt to all situations. Not to mention Quid Pro Quo might be one of the most op skills in the game, simply because whatever you can do to me, as long as I can attack, I can do right back to you. Dragons me? Hope you like getting double damage. Bleed me? I'm gonna watch as your blood drains. Soulburn? Have fun taking your own medicine and killing yourself.

    Not to mention our channeling skill makes it so that it is next to impossible to interrupt us. And even if you happen to survive that split second Gemini Slash, chances are that you are going to find yourself lacking in attack and defense levels thanks to Soulsever's proc.


    Seekers dont seem too impressive in PvP yet, because people havent started to see what all they can do. And the sad thing is, the majority of the players of the class are going to end up like the majority of sins... 1 easy to read attack pattern. But like true good sins, a good seeker is going to be feared.



    I pretty much agree with the previous post that if you want to play a class that hits like a truck and can make people kill themselves to play a Psy, and if you want a challenging class thats easy to play but going to take a true skilled player to master then play a Seeker. I'm not saying Psy's arent good for skilled players, that would be a flat out lie, but Psy's are more of a "whoever hits first wins... unless I have high soulforce. Then I'll win even if you hit me first" kinda class at endgame.

    ok so im a 9x seeker and i can tell you first hand that seekers are gonna be a class to fear in pvp must like the psy's, i have fought a 100+ phy's well geared and game out on type and im still wearing TT80 armor, we did best out of 3 and won and it isnt all about 1 shotting cause if the one shot doesnt kill the seeker the seeker will win depending on if the person acually knows how to play the class that is And as for seekers not having any decent stuns that is a lie, in PVP he has a very deadly stun with his Stance (not to mention the extra damage it does) i have cut down full rank 8 sin's at 91, and many Bm's.

    Psy's yes might be more damaging but they die quickly unless like they said have refine and gems, but not all psy's have that and i think if it came down to it the seeker would be better due to the fact it can close the distance in a instant and deal the damage needed to end the fight.

    i think honestly tho, a rank 8 seeker will own a rank 8 psy.

    on the other hand, i cant tell what a rank 9 seeker would be capeable off vs a rank 9 psy

    Let me put it this way....

    If I invested the sort of cash I have into this BM, into a psychic and got say full r8/NV/r9/etc equiped with the self-buffs a psychic has and all that.....My psychic would be like any other psychic:

    OVERPOWERED.


    Seriously even with low HP if you can't get past the damn seal buff then you are basically screwed because every other damn hit you'll be sealed which gives the psy 3-5 seconds to just wtfpwn you.

    Does it count if I say I got 3 shot by a lvl 100 cleric with +5 gear? With Sage Wield thunder, Cyclone and Tempest, and I'm only 66? ^_^;;

    I LOVE how UrDian is such a Gentleman.
    My seeker can one shot any Psy lvl 90-99 With a decent crit, Gemini slash is pretty OP.
    takes a Psychic a few hits to pk me and he needs a few partners.
    I dont think it will change much at EndGame.

    APs charaters fail against psychics, that's why so many think they're overpowered. if I'm even close to ready with 2 sparks I will win every time. and I never land a hit. and hm.. what's everyone running? APS? No wonder everyone thinks Psys are overpowered..
