AGAIN with the Horn??!!!

I thought everyone had made it clear to all the staff,etc of PWE that the vast majority of the players of PWI loathe the so called "Perfect Horn", that creates a huge space on the screen through which clicking on anything is impossible. we already have Duke screaming his freaking head off over the new pets, marriages, etc, now we have this back again. most of the time WC is so filled with jabber that it is worthless to sift out one post from another. and now this, which cannot be shut off, cannot be 'played through' when it suddenly appears. we already have two invisible rectangles that block clicking on mobs, fellow players, up around the map and the movable message box.

until this newest 'upgrade' with the EB, there was no problem with any of the three. now we are stuck with three large areas of the screen that a player has to remember cannot be played on. a good example- last night i was running solo TT 1-3, and because mobs ran into the areas i could not click on, forcing me to spend precious moments adjusting my screen, i got killed. same thing with the damned Horn, suddenly appearing over the top of mobs i was trying to target and pull. i couldn't see them through the text and animations....again, i was killed. i've done this TT many times, and am familiar with it, but only when it isnt covered with advertisements.

come on, PWE.....i know everyone says 'only one per stash box', but obviously people are selling the stashes they bought before the last ban was put in place. before even getting into the TT, i counted 5 horn blatts from the same person. its clear to anyone with half a braincell that by putting one Horn in each new Stashbox, its a trial balooon of the PWE, to try to foist them off on us again.

for God's sake, dont do this to us again!

I once heard 'We are aware of the trouble horns cause' but the issue never was solved.
I must have been lucky to not have gone on quests/grinding phases where mobs are truly annoying (a zone filled with aggro mobs) or I would have promptly died too, or suffered in battle from that idiotic separate window with a huge font and ugly fish emotes. wait, maybe this is among other factors why I am taking a small break from the game.

Each time I witness a horn message, I place the window in the upper-right corner and delete the chatbox. End of story.

I still wonder who was nuts enough to purchase an Iron Hammer just to get one of these horns and have fun for a few seconds. More money for PWE, from people that have nothing better to do than trying to be witty and end extremely obnoxious instead? No thanks.

Yeah, I do what Lesthar said. Just drag the window over your mini map or something, and you hardly notice it's there. Be glad they aren't still in the boutique, people used to spell out one letter at a time with those things. b:shutup

*Nod* but again, they were just advertised in the usual chat box. Whoever thought it was fun to put them back in game, give them a separate window and give them this huge font size... I can say 'Epic Fail' ...or rather 'Epic Win for complete annoyance'

Those things are damned annoying, so what I do is send them the little **** chat thing. I try to get others to do it, but don't know if they really do or not. The one's who respond back to me are always upset so I say: WHENEVER ANYONE USES A HORN SPAM THE LITTLE **** THINGY!.

Umm I don't know what you're problem with the horn is.

Rarely anyone uses it. Maybe 3-4 times a week I see it.

And if it really is such a problem move the horn chat box...

I have moved my horn chat box to right below the mini-map in the top right corner. Now whenever someone types something using the horn it doesn't disrupt my gameplay.

I suggest you do the same. Drives me nuts how many people don't know how to move the horn chat box and QQ instead.

<_<....Horns don't bug me. Seriously. I dragged it over that little window that shows your exp and spirit values after a kill, its there for a few seconds and then "poof!" gone for good. It even seems to have stayed there so I don't have to keep moving it. I usually totally miss them unless they use emotes.

The only way I could imagine them being as annoying as everyone describes is if it made a loud horn sound on your screen every time someone used them. XD

i have no problem with the horns in the normal chat box.
i DO however have an issue with horns having thier own special box in ENORMOUS font blocking my viewing area, whith is already absurdly limited becuase the Genisis made all the menus bar so much bigger, and the absurdly huge squad bar

Joke aside, I really prefer putting the box on the upper right corner. I'd only use the minimap for a perfect landing/to stabilize for a town portal spell/go for air or water mobs (and so in the last case, to not take stupid aggro).

If you move the box over the stats box, you still have it in full view. It's something I brought myself to not accept anymore, especially when you have those stupid, ugly-looking blue fish emotes to bear. b:laugh

Well, I tend to use my minimap a lot more than average people I guess (being lvl3x full mag cleric and squishy as hell makes me stalk the minimap for mobs in all cases)
