Thanks for the info, I'll see if I can get one of our sins to write something up. And Snowmist, thank you. You are exactly the person I was hoping to reach.

You might want to add some more info on venomancer pets though, per example the dark wanderer(or shadow ranger before he gets tamed) is one of the best DD pets. It's really handy while grinding or when you don't have to tank. (though it's quite a good tank too :o )

Then there's the magmite/walker. They're pretty good phys tanks.

Also maybe a little bit of info about pet skills like bash and flesh ream being the agro keepers ;)

Further I gotta say it's a really nice guide :) the way it's written is fun and informative at the same time and keeps it from getting boring ;3
Keep up the good work I guess :D

Was reading the number 35 thing... You do realise that the two wandering mobs in the start of fb51 respawn after awhile, right? o.o

Personally (while I was playing Veno at least -_-) I used mostly the starting varicose scorpion,it's quite good dd and is capable of matching the phoenix (or so I heard)
    Same for Petite sawfly
I hesitated to get a dark wanderer as its stats left me some meh at first and then never bothered to get one
The walker is indeed a good tank, with the magmite as an off-tank (I used the crystal one)
The pig thing pet is a pretty good tank (was planning to get one as a matter of fact)

And Imo Tideborn classes (especially psy) are capable of reaching 30-40s faster than any other race/class

Sorry to disappoint you, but while a scorpion or dark wanderer can out-DD a herc (disregarding reflect), no pet can out-DD a nix.

section 25, on comparing weapons --- for melee classes, it may be trickier than just looking at the phys attack stats. you also have to figure in attacks per second, if they're different weapon types; even relatively low-level BMs and seekers (for instance) might want to break out their calculator applet to work out different weapons' average DPS in order to see which is best.

venos, of course, get to ponder just how much playing they do in fox form before they decide if that extra phys attack is really worth sacrificing mag attack for (for instance). unfortunately, calculators can't really help with that.

edit: reading further, down at #42... the rank rings cannot be sold, dropped, traded, or NPCd. at least mine certainly couldn't, until i finally got rid of it and cleared up the bank slot space by using the well-known trick involved in that. i'll get the relevant rank insignia back if i ever decide to get any further rank equipment on this veno; currently my plans for future equipment doesn't include any veno rank gear, however. personal choice, though, of course.

further edit: down at #59, about veno pulling? might want to mention that the "recalling the pet" part has to be done by unsummoning (stowing) the pet, not by hitting the "follow me" (pawprint) button. that latter method would work too... to pull in the whole darned group. if you want just the one mob, got to unsummon.

(of course, sometimes you might WANT to pull in a whole darned group. makes a nice set-up for some sweet AoEs, f'rinstance. but that's not the usual scenario.)

on the seeker build, equipment requires 5 str and 3 dex every 2 levels. (anyone who thinks about wearing anything but HA on their seeker isn't thinking straight, and should go take a nice nap until their head clears up.) opinions are divided on what to do with the remaining two points per two levels; some put them in vit, others into str, yet others again stat some vit until they're happy then they go to a BM-like 3str/2dex build. or to a 7str/3dex one. there's no final answer to how to build a seeker yet.

You ought to add mystics and seekers to section 12 (the one about where NOT to put stat points.)

Section 18: perhaps a note that if you grind on one type of mob a lot (glances at the clerics grinding on poison mobs), it would make sense to have a set of gear unbalanced favoring that element for grinding.

The scorpion and dark wanderer have about the same attack in the end. Just that the dark wanderer does more damage in comparison to the scorpion when both aren't using skills.
However the skills of the scorpion do more damage, so it evens out :)

Also indeed, the piggy is a good tank, but it loses agro more easily due to having a low damage output.
