So i have a lvl 70 psy ive been neglecting and i've been trying to play her more, get her to sage and gear her up. I was wondering though, what number is the area that soul force starts being really annoying for the other player, makes em think twice before attacking you know?

I dont feel like refining everything to +10 like...ever though so whats a nice happy medium lol

    That point is reached when your gear is good enough to give you enough HP and defense that it raises the amount of hits someone requires to kill you enough to a point where chances are extremely high they will proc soul of silence.

    It's not just a soulforce number, it's also your survivability. +12 weapon and +0 gear will not help you at all.


    Though the +10/12 psys I know have a field day with their soul of silence >_> esp. in defense voodoo

    Even when I had +5 gears (and soulforce just near base), soul of silence proc was around 10% which makes it much harder for sins to kill you already.

    a +12 r8 psy wep will give you a little over 30k soulforce so at that point all of your soul skills are deadly as all hell, put you still need the coin to refine that high, and if you do have that much coin you should get the rest of your gear to at least +8 which will leave you with 32k soulforce so yeah pvp and pve beast at that point

    +12 = 600m




    100k more rep = 35mil.
    85 tokens = 400mil
    5 medals well SHOULD be 100mil
    = 535mil

    spend another 100m to +10

    635m

    +10 r9 >>>>> +12 r8

    also obviously leaves much more room for improvement than a +12 r8. duh pretty simple

    first off its 117 tokens, 2nd its 8 medals third medals r at 50 m atm.

    so its like:

    100 k rep = 35 m
    32 tokens = 150 m
    3 medals = 150 m
    wow u got the ring here ( u need the ring first be4 u can get the weapon)

    85 tokens = 400 m
    5 medals 250 m

    .... 1 bil without refining

    Cheze only chose to break down the cost of a weapon, but you cannot use the weapon without getting the ring first which would in turn make what eyehaveyou said correct. How you cannot see or understand this makes no sense to me (refer to above statement). And furthermore I love how you base part of your arguement on the fact that "medals should be 20 million implying that they're going to be put back into boutique or something"

    That sounds exactly like something a perfect world calculator forum troll would say, I'm not quite sure why you would even remotely say something to nearly classify you as such.

    I mean hell if I based everything I want or get in my life on how things should be and not the way they are I'd probably be in a better place right now, right? By that logic its really not even near what Cheze wrote cause technically gold should be more like 100k not 900k+ so we should just wipe it all clean and recalculate....

    What I am saying is that the r9 ring is an entirely different piece of gear altogether. The difference in matk between the r9 ring and a lunar ring is 113 matk. That's a larger gain than the difference in matk between 4.5 saph gems and 4.5 icebournes which already is a difference in 180m with current saph gem prices of 8m. Of course, this is purely a comparison to give context for the value of the matk difference.

    The person with the r8 can also get the r9 ring as well without getting the wep. I mean come on. If they have enough to get the maximum refinement an r8 wep, they're probably going to be slowly improving their gear and ultimately work towards getting that ring anyway as it is arguably one of the best caster rings in the game.

    Also, I base my medal assertion on the statements made by frankieraye which lead to the assumption that medals will be readily obtainable again whether it be from the boutique or elsewhere.

    And what's a perfect world calculator forum troll? I don't recommend things to people without a basis for my arguments. +12 2nd cast nv (with nv full) hits me 60-70% what +10 r9 (with r9 full) does. This is a forum. Feel free to ignore my recommendations. It's not like I care what you do on your own server/in your spare time playing a game.

    Dear OP: I would consider refining your 7x gear. This is coming from an (almost) endgame Psychic, who used hers until level 90 and is desperately working for TT90 now... >.>;
    I say this because most 8x gear isn't even worth mentioning to get, unless you have a crapload of cash, and can afford FC gear.

    +12"ing" a rank 9 weapon doesnt give you anymore soulforce than +12"ing" a rank 8 one does it?

    +12"ing" a rank 8 weapon is a waste. If you were going to +12 that caliber of weapon, might as well go with a lunar NV 2nd cast wep so you can let others use it to buff themselves/other people and benefit from the +12 as well.
