I'm a lvl 14 seeker with a lvl 3 skill rock splitting cleave and a lvl 1 staggering strike and I was killing fish in a pond and all a sudden my skills stopped working! b:cry I have full mp but it's icon is darkened a bit sort of like when you have no mp... and I logged out but it still isn't working. =( And the rock splitting cleave is showing up as lvl 2, and the staggering strike is showing up as lvl 3. b:bye
If it's normal im new and i dunno what it means. ^^;

I'm not familiar with Seekers and their skills but maybe it's insufficient Chi which is a yellow bar behind your name (its just below your purple experience bar)0

did your weapon perhaps go away, wear out, or break? you need a sword equipped, and it needs to have durability greater than zero.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC] Heaven's Tear alts: KenLubin, Sou_Hon, JudyCaraco --- level 5x chars.0

Most likely, its because your weapon broke. If thats the case, just go to a blacksmith and repair your gear ^^.0

^ I second that.
You can fix it with a Perfect Stone or a Mirage Celestone (Anyone know any other stones you can fix gear with? ^^;)
Or you could buy new gear.
Tip: Watch out for the yellow icon below your mini map saying "Take care of your equipment!" The first time I see that I go to the blacksmith and open up the goods screen and select "Fix all' and then "It will cost ____ (coins) to fix all of your items. Proceed with repair?" and press "yes"I've sunk so low in the sea of sadness0 -
Thats if your gear shatters during pvp, if it just breaks from regular use, it only costs coin.0

seekers dont require chi, we need sparks.
so its quite possible his weapon broke.0 -

Yeah I already did the first spiritual quest and got a chi bar but I don't think i can use it yet. b:surrender At least it gets to 99/100 every time I fight a monster, then when I log out it goes away.
But regarding the weapon... I only have 9 hours and 44 mins on it left and yes it has 0 durability. b:chuckle Time to try and fix it! :' D Thankssss.0 -

chi does that. it's annoying, but that's how it works. going into some (not all) dungeons will reset it as well.
anyway, early on as a seeker i don't think you have any skills that use chi; you'll gain some later, at level 29 if not before. until then, don't worry about it.But regarding the weapon... also time to look around for a replacement before it goes away for good...![SIGPIC][/SIGPIC] Heaven's Tear alts: KenLubin, Sou_Hon, JudyCaraco --- level 5x chars.0 -

You should eventually get a better weapon from your quests, but if all else fails, just buy a new weapon from a blacksmith. It's always good to experiment with gear like that, just so you know the baseline power level you would normally need to work with. Don't become too dependent on super-gear. ;]
I would also make a habit of hitting "repair all" every time you visit a vendor NPC to sell things. This will eliminate the weapon-breaking problem, and if you do it every time, your repair bills will be smaller and more manageable (as you will pay the same amount in smaller increments over time).
EDIT: As for chi, well, it's supposed to be used with special skills that require it. For most of the original classes, the Lv9 spirit cultivation afforded you at least one skill that required chi. The devs dropped the ball on that one for the earthguards. -_- You'll get skills that use it later.
In general, though... if you're surprised by how the game content changes for you after Lv20 (when you join the other races in Archosaur), I would suggest trying one of the original classes (from the Humans, Untamed or Elves) for a more standardized system with less of a "get high level ASAP" kind of mentality. :P[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
Yes, I'm still a stubborn holdout in favor of the old game. Haters gonna hate. ;]
