I have just started playing PW with my wife. However, I travel to Hong Kong on business 2 weeks out of every month. I would like to log in to quest with my wife as a way for us to stay connected and do things together. I don't mind paying a monthly subscription or a package that will allow me to play when I am there on business. Can anybody advise what I can do to avoid getting banned for logging on while I am there?

Simple.... don't log on during those 2 weeks. Playing PWI from there -will- get you banned.

I assume you are traveling for business. As a businnes that sends you to Hong Kong every two weeks, is it safe to say they have a VPN for you to connect to while you are there? If so, you may want to try playing PWI while connecting to your office VPN. This will give you the apperance of connecting from whereever you office is at.
Of course when I did this, I drew the wrath of our IT security guys, but after explaining the situation to them, they were kind enough to unblock my port0 -
You could also look into setting up a proxy for your internet connection. Or, (if you have enough bandwidth), set up a private VPN on one of your home PC's and connect through it. (You may be able to set a local proxy in a similar fashion but it requires a decent router and a fair amount of networking knowledge.)[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0

Thank you all for your help. I am terrible with IT stuff and going through my office server is definitely a no no. Why are those areas banned? Is it for censorship reasons or is it because of franchising? Is it possible for me to purchase a license in Hong Kong and then just continue to play on my account? I don't mind paying if it means I can quest with my wife.0

Hi, unfortunately, any player attempting to connect to our game from China gets auto-banned, and this is due to the fact that players from that location are meant to be connecting to the Chinese version of the game instead.0
