    • need some help with leveling speed

    ive played this game a couple of years ago in 2008 and i want to be back now but in this version the International not in MY-EN

    my question is this: i play barb and only barb. the only problem is they level slowly because they kill the mobs slowly

    so if anyone could give me a build that levels fast but still has tanking abilities [by build i mean what skills to learn and what stats/attributes should i invest in].

    i really want to go hybrid [both humanoid and tiger] but ive seen poeple saying you cant do that unless you want to be a fail barb... and that kind of discourages me to play because i want to level fast and still be able to control aggro and tank.

    i havent made a character yet but as soon as i get a good answer i will start playing b:thanks


    P.S: i dont cash shop nor will i ever "hyper exp", i am playing the game as it should be played. quest by quest and hard work. and i want a cheap build, the cheapest out there.

      Nothing wrong with doing a little hyper leveling in this day and age, especially if you came from my-en you should already know how to play barb, and wont end up as a hyper noob.

      to some extent, power leveling barbs makes builds slightly affordable, and the annoying job of less monotonous, or you could just do bh and all the other dailies and level somewhat quickly like that.

      Anyway, i'll edit in some info about builds I guess later, except I don't think "cheapest barb possible" is a good way to start off if you're going to play barbs and only barbs.

      ok, forget what i said about hyper exp and "cheapest barb"


      i just need a hybrid build so i can kill quickly but still tank to some extent

      If you want to be able to slaughter your way through the quests a bit faster and also be able to tank, Fuzzy suggests simply making your barb front heavy with dex through the early stages. There will be lots of time at later levels to increase your hp pool through vit.

      As long as you keep your agro skills like flesh ream up to date, for the first 50+ levels there is no reason any other character should be infringing on your ability to tank. Most barbs want to cap their dex somewhere around 60ish so at least for awhile when you get going, simply focus on base str for your armour and then concentrate on dex. Fuzzy thinks you will find that soon you are killing them wraiths like nobody's business.

      ok so fuzzy.... if i go 3str 2dex build until i hit 60 dex and then go 3str 2vit all the way to endgame is it a good build for leveling fast? and about the skills i was thinking of leveling mighty swing, penetrate armor, bestial onslaught, slam, armageddon, all buffs and masteries (including poison fang), and at tiger skills level true form, flesh ream, shapeshift intensify, roar, and skills that are required to give the basic tanking for the squad

      of course with such many skills to level up i wont have enough spirit after about level 20 so ill have to prioritise

      if IT IS good to go hybrid as long as you know what youre doing, suggest priorities for leveling up my skills [but keeping in mind i want to be able to tank, so tiger skills and buffs are always first for me]

      hope you will help :x


      EDIT: tell me if this is good build

      3str 2dex, once 60dex is reached go 3str 2vit

      and about the skills, i think ill just drop it and go for either pure humanoid or pure tiger... because it is overwhelming in terms of Spirit and i will probably fail like they said >.<

      personally i went pure tank, and everyone loved me for it, but exactly like fuzzy said, if you front end your dex to 60 then it makes the early stages a lot easier

      as for mighty swing, the best part about it is the stun and that it doesn't miss, but you don't really need it for grinding since if you put a few points into dex you will not miss too often anyway. really its more of a pvp skill in that regard

      as for poison fang, the damage it adds to your attacks is so minimal that you won't even notice until high level.

      the best skills you can level as a barb really are fleshream to hold agro, accelrity to cancel spells, your tiger debuffs and your passive and active buffs.

      ok thank you for the help i guess i will go either hybrid or pure tiger

      mighty swing, penetrate armor, slam, armageddon, bestial onslaught, axe & hammer mastery, swimming mastery, beast king inspiration, blood bath, strength of the titans, and all tiger skills cause they are all good

      and once i get sunder ill be in tiger form more i think but until then i think ill go humanoid having just true form, fleshream and shapshift intensify at the time.

      and first do a 3str 2dex and then go towards 3str 2vit at higher levels

      if you want fast leveling go pure tank build, hyper and make shards from 1-20, hyper you culti, that gets you to 3x, orcale a bit to start your TB and do bhs, after that is pretty easy cuz by then youll be able to efffeciantly quest easilly cuz you will be around 5x. Stash box hammers ftw. then its jsut a slow grind to 80, or you can buy in some fcs or you can do what i did for my bm and hyper the elite bosses at PQ. Going tank build to start will help you right of the bat when u get to FC. i suggest getting 80 gold 3 soc +3 and a decent wep and decent shards. will last you till 100.
