Mid-game Content...the Ignored Content

Since everything else is being revamped in the game, especially the pace in which people are leveling these days, how about a revamp of the old quest system to bring back the mid-game content?

Basically I'm just throwing the idea out there to add new rewards in the original quests, especially the ones that would be considered a part of the mid-game content. For example, let us say that there is a quest in the 60s to kill some kind of mob, you would kill 60-some mobs, collect drops and tiny amounts of experience/spirit, in the end you get a fairly good amount of exp and spirit and a small reward item such as a celestone.

Maybe there should be more rewards in the quests to get people to do them. Let us take that one example I mentioned, keep the same amount of exp and spirit, but have another reward such as wraith officer’s badges, mirages, mysterious chips, or ecstasy cards (these rewards would be given out randomly). I guess you place those random rewards in bounty hunter quests, but that kind of destroys more of the essence of using the actual map in the game. There should also be other rewards for just grinding, like adding more rewards for the one-man armies.

All I am saying is we need more mid-game content, and more rewards for those who want to take their time and do quests.

So I guess this is a thread to discuss mid-game content. Thoughts, comments, concerns?
Thank you for your time.

Agreed. I love questing, and would love to see more return for it. And I find it sad to see how many people say they never bother with quests at all besides BH/CS/WQ etc. Perhaps a little more motivation would be a good thing.

    Yes to some rewards :)

    Nothing too big though..

Badges seem ok, chips too, mirages too..

Esctasy cards ? Maybe not, or very low %...

As for one-man army quests, maybe new "collectable cards" ? After "x" cards, redemmable for "x" event points ?

As for added rewards for BH..Already have some from BH1 (Divine orders)

Maybe some rewards for World quest ?

Mid-game has the most content out there, because your content revolves around you powering up and leveling up.

Having done nearly every quest on my main I didn't want to even bother doing it on my alt, it`s too repetitive, oh look kill 20 mobs, then kill 20 mobs that look slightly different, even the reward change wouldn't matter much if the quests remain as boring and repetitive as they are now.

killing thousands of mobs is hardly exciting content

the leveling is boring and repetitive, and there isnt much fun stuff at that point

give us some lower level dungeons with decent drops, give us some level capped areas so we can learn how to do stuff and not have a high level run us through

no wonder people fc there characters up.. i am bored stiff

Sounds to Fuzzy like someone doesn't run Rebirth.... (there is more to it than just Delta)

edit: Then again, these days who does? Fuzzy gets frustrated when trying to find a squad with his seeker. Most people either don't know what it is or are too busy trying to find an FC squad or simply paying for the end of the run.

The DQ rewards addresses a lot of this. You kill 60 mobs, and in addition to the xp, sp, and coin, you now also get DQ points for the DQ drops you obtained. You can then spend the DQ points on a myriad of items.

Back in the old day, when gold was 100k, we didn't have this feature. Now, we do.

and while that is slightly useful, the amount of time a level 40-70 needs to grind 50k dq points is hardly worth the lower level flyer/mounts/fashions/whatever you can get from it

since the dq system came out, i am at about 38k points, and thats getting my cleric up 20 or so levels, and my sin from 1-50

Have you met some of the fashion-crazy players of either gender, in this game?

thats fine and all but i'd prefer to see a zero added to the end of every rep gotten from quests.

I'm lvl 100, Ive done every one man army. Multiple runs of every BH that dropped rep tags.
Multiple FBs. and I only have 13k Rep.

Why do you restrict true Rep rewards to bh100-2, sure now you can buy it outright but give people the chance of actually making it in game without it taking 5 years to hit rank 8

they are generally not buying random pigments and hoping to get the color they want

and people who can afford that tend to not need the stuff from dq points, they can farm better stuff, or cash shop it 0.o

Just here to say I agreed with you Sukinee, we do need something to attract people for the mid-levels content. Like this people can actually know how to play their classes and the improve on quest rewards is an amazing idea.
Just one more thing to make it work... Reduce the level gap to complete the quests, so people wont just level up and let the quests for later when it would be much easier to be done
