Leveling your Summon Skills
So, I know when I first started playing with the Mystic, many were kind of on the wall about leveling the skill itself - it seemed like it did nothing. Has anybody found any new information about that? Is it worth it to level the Devil Chihyu for example?

Yes, leveling your summons skill improves your summon's stats. Its discussed in depth here

Surprised that nobody has mentioned this but....you should always level up all summons, if for no other reason than to utilize the bonuses when they are energy leeched. Leech is a phenomenal skill and is well worth absorbing the pet to gain the bonuses.0

eh i rarely use energy leech. i think the duration of the bonus is too short for sacrificing ur pet especially if u fed it a full bar of mp >.> and it costs a whole bloody spark then u have to resummon ur pet and feed it more mp. i just dont see the point. rather put my chi towards better skills like rapid growth or saving it to spark up or summon cragglord.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

20 seconds isn't really that short, especially when the cooldown on energy leech is only 30 seconds at level 10. While I understand your point about the mp bar, I suppose at that point it's more a matter of playing style.
Personally I've found that a level 10 leech on a level 10 chihyu that raises my p.def by 100% and raises my crit to (currently) 35% every 20 out of 30 seconds is well worth it because with that crit rate I do more damage than my pet ever could. While doing this the optimal choice would be to not even bother mp feeding the pet, just resummon it and let it attack until the 30 seconds are up, while you also attack. By that time your own chi should be back to maximum, and you can just use it again.
By doing it this way (once you have 3 sparks at 89+) you also always have enough chi to use rapid growth and cragglord should you need to.0
