I was wondering if any high lvl seeker or anyone that knows the class a lot.....can they AOE grind like a BM?

It doesn't take being a high level, just looking at the skills. Yes, they should be able to AoE grind. Probably not as well as a Blademaster, but they have five AoE skills they can use, though three require sparks. Still, it would appear they are able to, especially at 59+ since their two 59 skills are AoEs and don't just do one attack. One attacks every 3 seconds for 12 seconds, the other just says it deals constant damage until either canceled or chi runs out (it drains chi even after the two sparks apparently). It also costs 289.1 MP every 1.5 seconds, so people won't be able to keep it up for very long until they get to 75+.
So yeah, I guess the answer to your question is they can, but they can only do it efficiently after 59 because of cooldowns on their AoEs and chi requirements, unlike Blademasters who can do it very well at 49+.0 -
Hmm, ok then.
In that case, I'll just lvl as I can then. Figure since a Seeker is basically another char that can use HA gears. I would like to lvl it fast, after I can figure out how the class works.

Aoe is fun if u lvl ur seeker the old way and u understand it ........... power level ur seeker and u end up fail with 3k hp and then AoE doesnt work to good.
spark AoE r also easy as u link mobs u can fill ur sparks uber quick
enjoy same damage to every mob in ur AoE range maybe not on vortex but the others seem to spread it equal

They can, but it also depends on their gear and build. I lol at people trying to worry about 5APS on seekers, trying to be a sin or something. I have my build planned and when im lvl 95 I'll be able to take a 95 sin im sure. take me up on the challenge when im there. b:victory0

May I ask which mobs you grinded on and what skill combo's you used? Im 52 with my seeker and aoe grinding is not quite that efficient for me, my hp drops like crazy.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -
Probably higher than 52. It's not real good below 60.0

Around late 60s you can aoe grind near dreamweaver with vortex. Those oversized hogs at the entrance. it only takes 1-2mobs to get 2 sparks and by that time holypath/seeker-run-skill is up again and u round up the mobs, pop an hp&mp pot and vortex. rinse and repeat.
early 70s you can move to volcano land. Im calling this volcano land cause i forgot the area name. There is a southern area that is infested with wolves and Oerith (or whatever rock man). same method. This is actually a 2008 zhen spot >.>
-if that spot is taken you can go to the area where there are pink crystalline mobs in volcano land.
-if that is taken go where the flying fire phoenix area (near World boss minion of death)
u can aoe grind on anything that moves there even the birds (preferably the rock men)
late 70s early 80s. aoe grind near the Camp of intrepid. there are spiders there that dont poison. again its a old zhen area.
early to mid 80s. South of 1k. I beleive it was one of the mobs for a base quest 80s. There are snakes on a mound, south of 1k and possibly east? or north of south barrier village. Its INFESTED with them with a fast respawn rate.

My 101 Seeker obviously got there with FF... but yes AOE grinding is very very possible. I can grind almost as easily as with my BM. The biggest difference is the AOE stun missing from Seekers. However in the right stance you can stun quite a few mobs MORE OFTEN than with RotP.
On the other hand. If you can afford it, do a two man zhen. Best is with a sin so you can BP. Drag mobs into yataghan and pot like crazy :-)0 -

Best to aoe grind at 60+ if you have TT sword and updated armour.
Get Buffed from other class mostly BP.
If you can really out run the mobs enough cast channel then gemini since it wont waste spark.
I get about 10k crits with gemini and I'm tanker build.
If you have a nice cleric or mystic friend have them fly above to heal once you get aggro :P
Another thing if you dont have MP charm or mp herbs (like me >_<;) use blur before or after other aoe skills if you find yourself in a dead zone on aoe Cool downs.
Wont kill as fast as Vortex but gets the job done.0 -

that information is incorrect. I just tried to some of those monsters. Those hogs are like nearly 80, lol and you say grind them at at late 60s. Yes sure if health charm is fine or a cleric healing but no way those herbs can cover all those damage lol. Is there something i am missing, yes i am tank build too.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -
The levels recommended are incorrect (imo), but those are great grind spots that I had used on my bm. Those spots have worked well for my seeker (and barb), too.
I didn't really start AoE grinding solo on my seeker until 75+, when I could use crab meat/herb yuanxiao (didn't feel like spending coin on charms b:surrender). It's a lot of fun linking that many physical mobs and vortexing them to death in seconds. I'm using the 3 str/ 2 dex build per lvl, and tanking them isn't as difficult as I would expect.
Can seekers AoE grind? Hell yes! b:chuckle0 -

This is the best way for the seeker to AoE grind and it is still doable without the sinouka - 101 HA veno - " Squeek, I'm A Fox!"

I'v did AoE grinding with my seeker when 2x was on i only had BP and my Seeker buffs on and it was good. Vortex kills them very quickly and your Normal AoE is great too. I used ParchedBlade so i can stun them.0

the level is correct. i think your useing the wrong herbs. Thats the level i did it with myself. the trick to doing it is same as pulling in fcc and aoe-ing. You use the apothecary NOT to increase hp/mp rate or heal hp, but to decrease dmg when your pulling and putting up vortex. Grinding isnt just about spamming pots, its about using which meds at what times.
also if you have been doing quests properly you should have quest hp food, the cooldown doesnt stack with the pots so it saves u in 'oh $hit' times.
also im not sure if its because your tank build. If your dmg is low and you kill them too slow then yeah youll get pummeled longer.
my build is str but leaning to dex more

i think a balance build would be ok, as long as its not the 'muscle for brains' build. Buffs i used full defense buffs. for chi i used a macro with that stun stance move. 2 mobs should gain u 2chi or 1 mob with the 'increased life'. Unless your Hypering, you really shouldn't ever lose money AoE Grinding. At the very least, you'd not lose nor gain any money. Plus you'll get to keep DQ Points, EXP and Spirit.
But please do make sure to have Bloodpaint all the time (Sage BP even better :P) and it's best to always try and get Full Buffs before starting, obviously. +3% Crit Faction Base Buff is also quite nice to have :P.0 -

try getting an assasin's blood paint on you before you grind. it will keep your hp up almost constantly with very little effort when you aoe.0

Seriously, He said Grinding. Have any of you tried soloing the exp room by urself? i lose about 50 herbs, and u need crab meats because the mobs ther Give u a debuff that make u take more dmg. Its just an example btw. It also depends on the apocarthy pot ur referring to, but theyr all useless. because the cooldown long.eventually ur gona have to start spamming ur Herb Yuanxiao
Yes BP does help with HP but ur gona need alot of MP, i only have Yataghan lvl 2 and i can only keep it up for 5 secs without using herb. I can only imagen lvl 10. Or is ther a memo i didnt get about higher lvl vortex= less mp usage? b:sad0 -
