So, we're getting some new content, I see...

At first it looks kind of neat, then you read again:
Armageddon

This quest is only accessible to players who are level 90 and above.

*Right click for a quick 5000 EXP. You can do this once per day, and the cooldown on it resets at midnight. However, one catch is that the item itself has a 24 hour duration, and only by using it can you reset the duration to 24 hours again. One cool thing about this item is that you can actually use the Account Stash to pass it around your various lvl 90+ characters, and each of them can right click it for the 5000 EXP. Tip: Using this item later in the day will allow you to keep it for longer in the long run.

So, let me get this right... We're able to fill our inventory with an item that gets us 0.001% of a level per day? I may as well go farm Friendship Crystals. I get some mob EXP that way, at least...

And, wait, there's more!
* The other function of the Armageddon's Prayer item is centered around leveling up an Earthguard character. Once you have the Prayer, use the Account Stash to pass it over to your Earthguard (he must be between levels 40-80 to be able to make use of this). Once your EG has the item, talk to Jolly Old Jones again and you'll be able to obtain the Armageddon Salvation item. By right-clicking this item, you'll get a very special necklace--Armageddon Asylum. This necklace, with a duration of 1 hour, will grant you 30% bonus EXP while you wear it!

So yeah, we need to go level a new class to use a +30% EXP neck that we got with our 90+ character (which, if someone already had all their character slots filled with the "old" classes, is improbable to happen) to get our character to the right level to do hypered Frost runs all day and night and not get 79 skills and no Demon/Sage?

Why doesn't this seem to add up for me? b:shocked

    im irritated at the cap of the level of it. wtf why level 80? why cant i use it on my level 88 seeker?

    Everything has its beginnings, but it doesn't start at one. It starts long before that... The world is born From zero. The moment zero becomes one is the moment the world springs to life. One becomes 2. 2 becomes 10. 10 becomes 100. taking it all back to one solves nothing. so long as zero remains... One.. Will eventually grow to 100 again.

    Or at least the lvl 79 apoclypse page skills for crying out loud.

    But of course, alt FCC is a quick path to 100, which pretty much equals boredom and/or TW and/or PK. Boredom means quitting, which is good because it recycles the players, TW and PK equal charms equals zen equals profit for PWE.

    The Earthguard thing is just to justify it sucking for others. They're new so they need some perks, right?

    That's not a good thing. For every bored player that ends up quitting, there is a friend asking about games to play and PW get the "don't bother, it's not worth it anymore".

    Player retention is what keeps server populations growing. I honestly can't say that the servers are anywhere near as full as they were in 09. It just doesn't look like it because everyone who plays now has at least one cat-shop always open and AFK's their characters they aren't currently playing while they're playing different ones.

    You'll start to realize all of this if you actually look around.

    DEV 1- "Let's put an item in that gives so low exp to a high level char that they will wish gettng tokens and getting oracles..So...if we put sunshine packs on sale..Guess they will all rush and be less sad to get tokens and buy more, right ?"

    DEV 2 -"Yes, groovy idea, but they can trade it to a low level (EG) char on same account, so that can be useful. Oh wait, they do need a account stash"

    DEV 1 - "Now about those DQ changes..What u think ? If now 100k = 150 points. We take out Medals..Make event/sage cards maybe worth getting. Players can get silver charms with those right ? Just a bit less then 7 per card..Quick math...((50 000/150) x 100 000) /7 charms = 4.7 mil average worth per silver charms by DQ points. Think we'll ever need to do a charm sale again ?

    Note to mods : Was real tired and just trying to make people laugh to cooldown tension, as u see, used "dev's" instead of "gm's" As far as I know, "Gm's" have no control..they follow what "Dev's" decide..

    But seriously..an item for Earthguards..30% more exp for an hour..I think players will still prefer hypering, oracling..Heck..even training esoterias to that..Oh wait..The last one is in boutique right ? ..Twisted...

    5K? Thats pitiful, even at my level I would trash a 5K quest to make room for a real one. I cant imagine what an insult this must be to 90+ players.

    Also I'm starting to have long term PW doubts just watching the way they treat their most dedicated players. From what I see posted on the forums, there are tons of things that need improvement for the level 90+ players, and a 5K quest isn't one of them.
    And I will strike down on thee with great vengeance and furious anger...the life you thought you led is gone, and your catshop is on an island surrounded by dinosaurs.

    I just re-read the news post. It's 5K per use with a midnight reset and 24 hour cooldown. So there's a way to get 10K out of it per day.

    Hold on, Bessie! I'll start recycling my Chrono Key each day to make room for this thing! b:chuckle

    Looking from the outside in, I start seeing that with all its problems and chaos this game is still fun. Yes, this quest is as good as a trip to a mortician but this is not the first. This wont be the last. Buckle down and play as you feel fit forget about stress and having to get a certain piece of gear or getting what you think you deserve. Remember the reason for the first game ever created, also, the first MMO ever developed. There were no spells or customization. There was only one goal and that was for enjoyment. Starting this game, ENJOYMENT was our common interest and somewhere down the line many of us forget that. We must step back and re-evaluate our "need" to play and start thinking of "wanting" to play. It is in our best interest to do what is necessary for the benefit of our RL character than our fantastical OP character.
