Idea: Put the chance for weapon effect proc in item description

Hi,
As Title says. You surely met many items in PW that have different effects like for example: "Saccrificial Strike: Has a chance to deal double damage at the cost of 5% max HP". With the intoduction of Nirvana, Rank 9 and the recent Guild Bases, it is becoming extremely important how big exactly is the chance or higher chance. PW expects us to pay coin equivalent of hundreds (nirvana) or even thousands of dollars (Rank 9/Radiant Weapons from Faction Base Forge) for items that CAN do something, but it's nowhere written HOW OFTEN will it take place.
For Example:
Radiant daggers (http://www.pwdatabase.com/pwi/items/30222):
HP: +350
Furious Dragon: Has a chance to recover 25% of HP, and improves
Evasion and Critical Strike rate. Lasts for 5 seconds.
Atk. Level +2
Cost of item: 144,000 faction contribution + 115 Ten Million Big Notes (=1,150,000,000 PWI coins).
As you can see, the only reason why someone whould buy the item is the very good "Furious Dragon" effect... But how often does it turn on? Nobody knows... And will not know before he accually buys it for over a billion coins and checks (1150 US$ with current gold price). And now imagine the proc turning out to be 2% or less, making the weapon completely useless. What will be your disappointment?
That's the reason for my suggestion:
"Weapon effects should have the accual % chance (of landing an effect on the target) written in the effect description" for example:
"God of Frenzy: Has a 20% chance to deal double damage. Costs 5% max HP".
This would let people spend their money for what they really want, not for potential disappointments and ragequitting the game. Also, it would help people to better plan the build of their characters.
I have added a poll to the thread. Please click appropiate box to let the PWI administration see that this change would be useful for PW community. b:thanks

Technically this suggestion has a chance of being implemented since you don't need to involve China to make text changes. Ideally all descriptions should be as precise as possible ("Greatly increases physical attack" vs "adds 100% weapon damage to physical attacks for 10 seconds").
I'd also add apothecary item descriptions ("Death River Toxin: Adds greater wood damage to attacks").[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Exactly. Precise information in item description would help us all. Please tell all your friends about this idea so it can become common and can be really implemented b:thanks0 -
Bump. Come on guys we need more votes to make it real b:thanks0

I actually like this idea. My current dags have the "sharpen" effect (iirc), but i honestly have no clue what the proc rate, duration and actual attack boost are...because it doesn't say anywhere in the description what they actually are. It just says "chance to greatly blahblahblah". I could figure out the proc rate/etc. beating on NPCs, but why should i have to?Things said during a Twizted faction PK session:
Slayer_of_Souls: you guys are such suck ups. none of you have attacked twid.
Twiddzly(fac leader): no, sere killed me already.
Slayer_of_Souls: he's out there waiting for us, isn't he. i'm gonna die.
Sereneai: b:sin why don't you come find out.
Kinglkaruga: you go first dule.0 -

That's right. If we are paying for a weapon, we should be informed what it does exactly. All the games i know have such info precised. Or maybe if they can't apply it to all items, they could create a PW Encyclopedia option that would list all the possible effects, their proc rate and influence (something simillar to showing the chance of manufacturing warsoul statues under "Crafting"). That would do too and is easier to implement imo.0 -

Maybe only for the PW programmers who should move their b***s and do something useful b:laugh.
Anyways - more votes appreciated. Fyi, you can also vote with alts, just change avatar and visit this thread again - this will make it possible to vote multiple times. Thx b:thanks0 -

1. This is beeing controlled by PW China and PW International has no influence on it.
2.4. Why in gods name would you spend 1.15 BILLION and 114k contribution points for a crappy weapon (G13 with crappy stats)
If you used search you would have found out that a lot of people had problems with skill discriptions none of them have been changed.0 -

LOL and that's why you voted "no", being my guildie? rotfl thanks alot for support ;/ PW has influence on texting stuff, they cannot change the proc rates but they can change item descriptions and other language stuff (that's their job after all). And if the proc rate is decent i would spend that much for them because 4 aps + decent proc = 25% hp renewed often = sin can solo nearly everything = powerful source of skill books and TT mats which is good both for my finances and for guildies that can get them free from me. So not really crappy stats...0 -

Like i already mentioned on our own forum there are several cheaper/better options.
If you have decent refinement a sin already can solo nearly everything (bloodpaint FTW) and for this you don't need 1.15 Billion.
If you look at the event tideborn weapons you see that lunar is already the same grade as the base daggers, Nirvana 1st recast is already higher and offcourse R9 wich is G16. All of these are way cheaper than the daggers you want.
PvE wise these daggers are "ok" but definately not epic. PvP wise you will be easily out-DD'd.0 -

But bro.. [?] bosses make you deal only around ~20% of the original damage, multiply it by another 0.02 (0.03 sage) and the heal is still very low (even counting in a high attack level) + the bloodpaint which doesn't get neutralized by BP b:surrender Ofc for PvP R9 daggers are best weap you can get for a sin, but counting in survivability, R9 turn out really bad...0 -

Funny that you say that. I am a almost pure dex build sage sin with +10 R8 daggers and decent refinement and i don't have any problems solo'ing. I'm not vit sharded and use only DoT's.
I still wonder what gear/weapon your now using at the moment because the majority of high level sins i know can easily solo things without charmburn.
One more thing in this all i don't see the TW aspect..... Are you able to kill people? (after checking Core connect i noticed you have 6 PvP kills so we can ignore that last sentence)0 -

I am, I rarely PK tho because losing money for things like GS or remedies in the time where i need the money for my endgame weap has kinda no point... First the weap, then more pk.
And i don't have problems soloing... I don't mean going TT1 or TT2 squad mode. I can do that. But what interests me are bosses like Twilight Emperor or Dark Collouseast or some nirvana bosses. And those have definitely too big damage (and/or debuffs) comparing to my BP healing (at the current state) to solo them.
Edit: My build = almost pure dex (gave somewhat to vit) with +5 R8 daggers, demon0 -

Nirvana needs 6 people and all the bosses are solo'able with the right refinement/skills but still why do you wanna solo nirvana??? This means you need 6 different accounts with keys on them in order to do this solo.
For the TT runs you mentioned again they are doable but a high hp level is neccecary. Weapon wise any high refined current weapon is usable (G13/15 nirvana, R8, R9) but if you want to spend 1.15 billion be my guest.0 -
I agree completely. Proc descriptions should be more precise. Things like sharpen and bless don't really tell us much of anything. It boosts your stats! Yes, but how much? It'd be nice to know for deciding whether or not you want to upgrade weapons or not. Like EvilStare vs Shadow Legend. Shadow legend has slightly higher stats on it, but Evil has sharpen. It'd be nice to know which will end up averaging more damage before you buy them both.0
