    • Guild Bases...WTF?

    Seriously, what is sense of making unavailable features? What Faction is able to pay so much for a faction base? I demand GM to respond that question, it isn't first time PWE introduces a feature only paying users can get and im speaking of prices that would cover a YEAR subscription on any other MMO. This is free game or what? It's bugged as ****, even my avatar doesn't show correct character. My CORE achievements were reset. What the **** is going on?

      Uh... lots of factions can afford faction bases. If you have a full level 3 faction, you could easily get one if every member donated 2m ($2 during a sale.)

      We have a level 9 almost level 10 faction base, and no one really swiped a credit card for it, u jelly?

      Anyways, guild bases aren't even hard to get with a big enough faction and lots of supporting members donating.

      1. Yes it's a shame smaller factions can't get one (easily)

      2. This does seem to be something for endgame factions.
      Endgame factions usually do have 200 active people/semiactive people. If everyone dishes out 1mil you're done. Even if there's 100 active members that's still only 2mil for each person which isn't that much either, especially at endgame.

      So yeh, it sucks. But on the other hand it also seems fair. By that it was also stated earlier that the expansion isn't complete and that there's more stuff to come. We can only wait and see, and hope, that this is something that's fun for all lvls.

      At least I label my QQ threads as QQ threads.

      I'm in two factions with bases. Both are smaller factions. In fact, both are level 3 bases now. I'm actually quite shocked that both have bases, and even more shocked that the smaller faction has leveled their base to lvl 3, and their base has more HP than the larger faction I'm in. b:chuckle I think there are more active players in the smaller faction, though, which makes sense.

      There is a reason it's called a faction base and not a player base.

      I was gonna go level 3 and gbase on my faction.

      But... I'm the only person in the faction.

      I think I'll leave it at a level 1 faction with no base.

      You realize factions that didn't suck have long had a standard for gearing their members up by doing TT runs for mat drops for their people, right? And now about 2.5 years later, the ones who stuck around are already geared. So all they have to do, is do some runs once in a while, sell the mats for coins, and get their bases for free. Heck, we just had a 2X drop event to go with that.

      How crappy is these guys' factions that they can't even figure out something as common sense as that for earning cash for the faction. Or would that be selfish.....?

      EDIT: For reference, my lazy *** did just 5 squad runs earning around 50 mil on 2X event. Imagine a dedicated squad that is similarly geared all soloing squad mode like I did; that is how.

      If a faction was smart enough to have everyone American in the fac do the bing offers, when gold is at a million, then even a fac of just 100 people could do it for free. Without any effort whatsoever. Its a team based thing and has nothing to do with cashshopping.

      Everything the base requires is obtainable with enough people in the faction doing BH 100 every day. Yeah, chips aren't tradable, but you just get some extra coin. They aren't that expensive. BH Warsong for tags, Sacks of Observation for U. Subs, Ecstasy Cards for coin, etc. And to be honest, 500 Mysterious chips is kinda meh in its own right. Everything else is sort of expensive.

      Heck, there are factions on DW that don't have territory and have a guild base. Stop QQing because you don't know how to save coins and mats.

      The smaller faction I'm in got Guild Base, which surprised me, and then took a territory, which surprised me even more. Then they defended it against several attacks, which further surprised me.

      Yeah, it's not such a little faction, there's a lot of cool people in it, but it's got a very wide level spread. 20-102. Full of nice people. :)

      I'm not entirely a non-cash player (last time I charged zen was right before the expansion during the inventory/bank stone sale, to get them for my planned earthguards) but I am slowing merchanting my way to a base for my faction. I've got the chips (from DQ points), about 10% of the subs (in large part farmed by my chars) and emblems (largely contributed by our 3 10xs, but partly farmed by an 8x/9x squad) and about 6 big notes banked.

      My faction farmd for the faction base since the day the costs became known (well, we had already opened a donation spot for it before that, but soon as we knew what it would cost we started to farm directed. Such as doing all warsong bosses and donating all the emblems).

      Our base was opened roughly 10 minutes after our leader got online after the expention.

      The rest of the money for upgrades comes from TW income and members donating back TW pay.

      guild bases are the best addition to the game so far. it's just a matter of time until they make factions who don't have it obsolete.
