Where have all the adults gone?

Beware, I'm about to QQ a little bit.

Okay, so I play in dreamweaver. I know there are guilds for adults in other servers, like HT. Admittedly I've only been playing for a few days now (I had quit awhile back and am just returning). But the couple factions I tried out were crowded with kids. I tried asking around in cities and towns a bit, but no one said anything.

It's a little difficult for me. The last time I played I had friends to play with, and the game was made of awesome. (Though that never stopped the lot of us from complaining about it). This time around, I'm on my own. Makes playing just a tid bit harder, and finding a faction just a tad humiliating. (cue the QQ and sad violins).

So I've been wondering. There are still adults in Dreamweaver right? Please say yes! Now, where the heck are they hiding?

    well there was a newsbrief once that said PWI was a GAME... and its FREE to play (to some extent) and well, obvious is obvious amarite?

    But really, at lower levels you will meet more -kids- than adults.

    It can take some time to find a faction to call home but Fuzzy hopes you keep trying. Given the sheer number of factions on each server there must be a place for everyone. b:cute

    However, due to the DW specific nature of the post, the panda is placing this one in the DW sub-forum.

    nah, not really. hyperfrosting to 101 isn't any easier for adults than for kids, and taking one's time to level slowly and enjoy the game content on the way up can be just as entertaining for an adult as for a minor.

    even if you do level slow and un-hypered all the way to 10x... that still can be done and finished in a year or two, which on the whole is only a small part of the time it takes a person to grow into adulthood. so i don't think level numbers have any solid connection to either age or maturity.

    edit: ninja'd by the forum move. a little faster and i'd've never seen the thread... oh well.

    Hallo Miss Clover,

    There are quite a few factions on DW for just adult players. The big one I can think of is Oldies. They're made of a rather nice bunch and i've been helped out by them quite a few times.

    Sadly, i'm not sure of they're recruiting level (or age) but i'm sure if you ask in worldchat for an officer or something they'll be glad to fill you in :]

    There are indeed plenty of adults on DW.

    Aside from myself, most of the people i regularly talk to are adults, or at least 18+ anyway, and those who aren't tend to be more mature young'uns b:laugh

    Heck, I used to be in a fac with a member who was in their upper 50s.

    I think the biggest thing is whether they act maturely or not, not their actual age. I have met both immature childish adults, and very mature teens on here, as well as a mix in the middle.

    Unless it's changed since I started way back when, Oldies age limit is 30+ but don't quote me on that, I could certainly be wrong.

    I've found that most of us old people tend to kind of flock into/create our own guilds. Personally speaking, Ted is not in a guild, but my 2 main alts are in the 18+ guild my friends and I founded when we came to PWI 2 years ago.

    To OP I understand where your Comming from. I goof off and joke around allot but I keep everything PG13. Still people in factions got on my *** about kids. they didn't leave me alone till I raised hell saying you have to be 13 to play this game and any parent that allows their kids to see what we say is unfit and I'll report them to their local child services. After that they finally left me alone. I'm sorry your kids shouldn't be around or playing this game that why we all have a TOS that we agree too that says you have to be 13 or older. Keep your kids away from the god damn computer. Don't jump my **** because you didn't read the TOS thoroughly and think I should be safe for your kids.

    They can't legally prevent people over 30 from playing game they can only set limits for people under 18. They have never said you have to be under 30 to play. I've been here since closed beta the only age limit they have ever had is you must be over age 13.

    I'm one of the very few people to read the TOS in its entirety b4 agreeing. I always read TOS for games B4 I play.

    Thanks guys! You've restored my faith a little bit. I think I probably just have to hold out a bit longer. My schedule is a bit screwed up now so I'm on in the wee hours of the morning (eastern time) recently, so maybe the time of day has most of the adults sleeping or working and whatnot. Well as long as I know they're out there, and there's still calm, reasonable people around, I don't think I'll throw in the towel.

    And I remember oldies! They were around back when I was in another 18+ faction ages ago. I never really knew much about their rules, but yeah I can keep an eye out for them.

    I'd better go to sleep now before I start rambling again. Thanks again. Tearle, Sereneai, FatherTed, and Tigriss. You cheered me up. ^^

    I think you're confused. Oldies is a faction on DW, and he's saying he thinks they recruit only age 30+ people, not that people over 30 can't play the game. If that were true my faction would have a lot less people in it. b:thanks

    As Toxie says, I was commenting on a specific faction's recruitment age limit - nothing more. (And again if the age limit has changed, forgive me :P)

    If PWI restricted people over 30 from playing, poor old me wouldn't be able to play . . .

    *scratche my head* Ummm, yeah...the thing is, though they may be at that age range you are looking for, are you talking about maturity in personality or just mature in age? LOL No offence but I don't really come accross that many that act their age if not under the age of 12.

    I was referring to both age and maturity. I know some adults can be pretty immature. Some are outright jerks. I'm pretty immature at times, myself. But sometimes adults just want to be around other adults. I'm not saying all the time, of course. mature young people are definitely just as fun as friends.
