Mystics Nerfed with 3/29 update?

Have noticed since the update my mystic can only have one plant up at a time. When u spawn a new one previous one fades away. We use to have 4 or 5 up at a time.
Is this an intentional nerf of the class? or a major glitch with the update? Have checked the update notes, nothing mentioned there about it.

i havent checked on my own mystic but in fcc yesterday our mystic had both of this healing plants out at once multiple times.0

I don't get it, I've never been able to summon more then one anyway, apart from Vital herb being the exception in which any other plant can be summoned with it, all I know is when I tested the classes on the CN version, I was able to summon all the plants, but not on PWI as of yet .[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

After testing you are right vital herb can be out with any other plant.
I know I have used more then one plant at a time since day one on Dreamweaver (well since I had more then one plant) Did many of the quest mini-bosses with 3 or 4 plants out at once which made for quite a nice lysing near the end.0 -

Since day 1 of my mystic a few weeks ago, I was never able to have more than 1 debuffing / offensive summoning vine out at a time with the exception of course with Vital Herb and another..Vital herb seems to be the only herb that I can summon one more with.
But if you try Befuddling Creeper + Spidervine / Punishing Sting, then yes the new herb will replace the other...

MYstics weren't changed at all.
Even on the PWCN servers you can only have one herb out (except with the vital herb).0 -
Doesn't make sense to not be able to summon all because lysing makes them all explode. However I have not been able to summon more than one debuff/damage plant at the same time.0

If they nerf the chance on gale force and thicket, well they would be taking away the 2 of the only saving graces of the class.
Gale force is under 50% chance as it is, you are pretty much gambling on it if you are needing it to proc, and so its not to be relied upon. Why in the hell would that need to be nerfed?
Thicket is already under 100%, the area of effect is pretty small, and it has decent length channel, so what is so broken about it?
Roar of the pride, Earth Vector, Headhunt, and Wiz/Cleric sleeps are all need nerfs too because god forbid you get to use a skill for its intended effect without relying on the same luck as opening a pack to get something useful lol.
Lets's nerf damage on LV150 mobs on summons and thicket too, double cooldown on all healing skills, and increase mana costs on all skills 16% while we are crippling the class.
Is there a reason why the more I heard about proposed changes to the class the more I feel like I'm being punished for playing it? Its like the devs are making damn sure that no skill will ever come at all close to being as good as another class' skill, and at about 2x the mp cost just to twist the knife.
With TB they made good changes to Bubble of life's aoe, actually gave a reason to use SoS, let sins use 2 or their skills in instances (broken as they are) and increased the duration of both voodoos so that you didn't have to rebuff every 2 or 3 minutes.
The only changes for EG I've heard of are making Resurrection way more cost/use effective, and this rumor of nerfing silence/freeze.
Yeah cause those are the only 2 things about either class that need revision *facepalm*[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

I was able to summon Healing herb + vital herb + any debuff plant. Now after update the only one that stays on is vital herb, if I have healing herb + vital herb and try to cast creeper...then healing herb goes away. It could be a glitch before but I was able to keep both healing plants + 1 before update.0

Anyone else read that and think "wow you sure make it sound OP!" The channeling on it is 2 seconds. For your ultimate. Wizzies, venos and clerics would kill for that. The only magic class that casts an ultimate that fast is Psys, and their ulti doesn't come with a sweet long-as-balls silence effect AND the initial damage on the skill sucks.
I mean seriously, c'mon now. The class has been out a month and it has tons more tricks up it's sleeve (the knockback is effectively an ailment since the opponent can't attack for a brief moment, the pet can stun, a plant can sleep the enemy), no one's been able to play this class to death to decide just how powerful it is and whether it needs a nerf or not and yet you're crying "omg crippling!11" when someone suggests the possibility of a nerf for a 2-second-channeling ultimate skill with what seems like a 10 second silence. If anything needs to be changed about the mystic, it'd be the MP consumption. Most of the skills are fine, but the heals will burn your MP out way too fast for their supposed benefits. And consider what they're compared to... the basic heal is comparable to Wellspring with about 40% more MP cost. The pet heal is identical to the veno's pet heal except it costs almost three times as much MP. Yes, they channel faster, I know... and that could almost make them OP until you consider that they're still not as good as either venos or clerics in what either of those classes do, yet they easily burn as much MP as a cleric (save for when they're doing BB, maybe).
Even so, all that would be tolerable if mystics weren't also expected to funnel large quantities of MP to their pet (which, btw, is susceptible to manaleak effects, something a veno never had to deal with). Then there's the auto-res buff and its staggering MP cost.
It just seems like the mystic was built as if to say, "Hey, you can not use a lot of MP, it's cool! I mean, you'll suck that way, but you can do it! But hey, if you ever start wanting to acually use your skills or anything (what're you, a weirdo?), boy have I got the thing for you! It's called Herb Yuanxiao, and lots of it! What's that, you say? You need a ton of tokens for that? Guess you'd better go buy some packs! "
All kidding aside... yeah, the plants were always "one at a time" deals, except for Vital. I don't agree with this, but ehh...
Also, I know ecatomb isn't 100% accurate or anything, but when I looked up the MP costs for this post, I noticed that the res buff lists MP costs that are a lot lower than what I remember in-game. Can anyone confirm if this has really been changed?
(My mystic is lv56 at the moment, and his res buff is lv5 :P)
EDIT: I will, however, rescind all comments about mystics if they fix the Seeker's patently idiotic "mirage buffs." Seriously, what the hell. o.O[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

MP consuption is definetly the worst in a mystic, they shoulndt have done this huge difference with other arcane classes that use a lot of MP either, at least mystics should have the same consuption not a total wack of 50% more. This has to be fix, maybe they could come up with a new Tome the reduces the MP needed to cast a skill up to 25%, like the -10% requirements stuff...b:chuckle0

Personally I would be fine if they left everything the way it is, and I'd just think "I got a few nice control skills as a trade off for the big mp costs."
I mainly got annoyed that rather than address the skewed mp costs, they were thinking of nerfing my favorite 2 skills. I'd rather they make thicket like a 4 sec chan or shorten the duration of the debuffs than drop its chance. I don't want it to end up like Red Tide, where you don't even use it outside of RB because what is the point in wasting that much chi.
The difference between redtide and thicket is that thicket is a great control skill, the only one mystics get thats even half reliable. Psy's get glacial shards, slow way more with impact and crystal, get a pretty reliable stun with EV, and that is on top of unpurgable buffs that are pretty crazy. I think its funny that so far the main advocate of this rumored nerf so far is also a psy like myself.
What else does a mystic have going for them then? Off healing, sub par dding (like every other magic class in this game anymore) , and a quasi useful buff? I don't care about or use bramble tornado much myself, and I agree that knockback in pvp is broken if it only applies to one class' skill.
Summons, both offensive and support are only as useful as the threats aoe. Having a faster chan for pet heal doesn't mean jack when an aoe that tickles me oneshots my summon. Salvation is great, but has terrible defense to match its lack of offensive ability. Why does the support summon have such **** defense?
Every class has one or 2 skills that everyone else thinks is completely broken. What seems more broken to you though?
Sins outhealing themselves all damage with your 5aps bloodpaint, forcing stealth and GAINING a spark, teleporting through doors in instances, stealing past all mobs at any time, 2 100% stuns (one of which teleports you to target instantly), and a skill that increases speed and gives immunity to movement debuffs.
Psys with their swiss army knife of control skills, non purgable buffs/voodoos, soulburn, retaliation, SoV, Silence, high soulforce stun, spammable 79/100 skills, 100% aoe purify on sage bubble, and PSY FREAKING WILL! I'm sure my ulti that has a CHANCE to seal/freeze is waaaay more broken than a 100% chance of 100% immunity to all physical damage for 10 sec with 100% self purify LMAO.
Do those skills need nerfing? Most would say hell yes, but not me. I view them as being intergral to the classes, and would prefer that the earlier classes get some new tweaks that make THEM special in THEIR own way instead of hammering down everything that is deemed useful out of jealousy.
An easy compromise would be to do like they have with absorb soul and make the skills less effective in PVP than PVE. That way you don't lessen the utility of the skill in most situations, and appease the ones crying foul over it.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

I don't believe in nerfing skills either. I do believe in nerfing the APS cap, because without 4/5aps, Bloodpaint is not nearly as broken as it is. The skill was designed to replenish the extra HP loss due to fighting melee mobs with LA (at least, that's what makes sense to me) and to aid the real tanks in your squad... not to solo things. As with many other things in this game, it's the gear that's the problem.
I believe teleporting through doors is bannable, isn't it? Or maybe they just said that for Qingzi...
But anyway... as far as class balance goes, they're all good in PVE and the classes do seem relatively balanced (high-aps builds notwithstanding), so no tweaking is necessary there. I assume you're talking about PVP, but that's a whole other can of worms because there are issues plaguing the PVP system that are far more profound than class balance at this point (not the least of them being jones blessings, r8/r9 and high refines becoming obtainable, high-aps builds, and the general disparity between 90s/100+ gear).[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

The plants were NOT one at a time deals. I played Mystic since it came out, and became my main, because I loved the versatility, even if mana hogs. I was able to put out the stinger, the befuddler and both healing plants at the same time. And because of low mystic hp I barely made it many times while soloing. I come back after about 6 months, and I find this WTF nerfing. ONE plant at a time? Makes you want to tun back to the ~removed~. I'm seriously questioning having come back.0 -
