patcher problems

recently i had my laptop upgraded to windows 7 and i am still paying it off. because i am paying it off i have a limited account and it requires a admin password every time i start up the PWI launcher. is there anyway around this?

    No, as it requires being able to write to "C:\Program Files", which requires administrative privileges.

    As for launching the game normally, yes, you can just run the elementclient.exe directly.

    Only the maintenance-time patches require administrative privileges.

    (In fact, in an ideal world [pun disaster averted!], the patcher/launcher would drop privileges to the normal user's level when launching the game... Even better would be if it only prompted for elevation when it detected that a patch needed to be applied or if the user clicked the Verify button...)
