Before you think I am a complete fail or/and noob, please read attentively ;)

What are your criteria to choose your weapon as a cleric?

As silly it can seem, until you're level 6x you really don't have to think to much about it, the path is clear : first weapon you really need to buy is the wheel of fate, then nothing till lvl 60, then ancient arbor because probably you will never find dragon's will.

But then a moment comes when you start asking yourself what should you choose and how.

I always compared the mag attk, but am not sure how to treat the differents adds of the weapon. Which ones are the most useful for the cleric?

To make it more clear, we can use the example of some lvl 70 weapons :
- Acalantha wand
Attack Speed 1.25
Attack Range 3
Physical attack 282-344
Magical attack 642-655

Magic Attack +63
MP +210
Magic +10~11

- Sakyamuni's Light
Attack Speed 1.25
Attack Range 3
Physical attack 330-494
Magical attack 598-731

Magic Attack +63
MP +210
Magic +10~11

- Ashura's Sign
Attack Speed 1.25
Attack Range 3
Physical attack 322-482
Magical attack 584-713

Magic Attack +56
Phys. Res.: +216
Evasion +214

Which shall be considerations while choosing one?

Thanks in advice for all advices :)

My Cleric lacks Phys def , so i have a sakyamuni Light waiting for him .
after that , i have a glaive of divinity cause i will need a lot of MP and magic power for FF.
then a Requiem Blade , cause i will most likely go for Neon Purgatory , and i need an ok weapon till then.

My veno needs as much magic power and MP as i can ( she has 40 base vit and + 35 vit gear , ao she can take hits) = that means Ashura Sign for lvl 70.

Then a Aquadash = nice channeling and high magic power , usual cost is from 11-19 m on heaven tear which is "affordable".

Then at 99 Fate Denial Godspeed , cause it is sexy.

Hope my post is about what u asked.

In my lower levels I really liked +magic add ons and -channeling. I ended up using acalantha wand, then swapping over to endless ambiguity, then blade of red dust. Now on my wizard, I chose ashuras sign because I wanted to make the yaksa with the crit bonus. :)

My suggested weapon path would be:

    level 70: Sakyamuni's Light
The evasion on it is ****, but the extra pdef from is can be very useful. It's pretty cheap too.

(If on a low budget) level 79: Glaives of Divinity
A slightly crappy (but cheap) weapon. The +mp stat on it is useless (you can use event pots past 75, giving you an almost infinite supply of mana), but it has decent attack.

If you're not on a tight budget, use Sakyamuni's until 80 and then get:
    level 80: Endless Ambiguity
+hp is always very useful, the attack on it is decent. The -3% channeling might not be very noticeable at level 80.

(if you have a nice amount of money to spend)
    level 85: Sensoid Emptiness
A personal favorite. The hp it gives is godly, and it's also nice for -channeling freaks.

(or if you have slightly less money)
    level 85: Silverrain
This weapon has very high offensive capabilites. Also a sidenote: it has the exact same stats as an aquadash and is like 14mil cheaper.
You can find these in the auction house for 6m or less usually, making it cheaper than most tt90 weapons.

(If you have a very tight budget)
    level 89: Requiem Blade
Not bad at all and cheap as dirt. With not even that much money you can get one with some really good refines too(like +6 for only 4m if you're lucky).

Any of the previous 3 can last you to 100, after which I'd suggest getting rank 8.

Must be server market differences. I've never seen Silverrain selling for any less than Aquadash.

Thank you very very much for all your replies. They have permitted me to have some good tips and issues concerning the weapons choice in later levels b:pleased
It is also interesting to get information about different choices and strategies concerning the equipment, depending on char's build.
Still I am very interested to know what has made you choose these weapons and not another ones. What were your reasons? What have you taken into consideration?
Thank you for your patience :) I am trying to improve my knowledge about weapons in pwi and they way to compare them :)

I chose every weapon I used based purely on how it looked XD No point having a game character if you're gonna cringe everytime you look at it lol.

i think mirage sword-> order of stars -> wheel of fate-> Ancient arbor-> greif's breath-> endless ambiguity> blade of red dust or Wraith Conquerer ->Rank 8 wep

becuase in all reality rank 8 heals are SOO much better than tt99 and even nirvina its really not fair
Killing level 80's with a lvl 60 is a lot more fun than killing level 90's with a level 100.

Eh, depends I think. I currently have the r8 weapon, http://www.pwdatabase.com/items/12648 I like it okay. But I'm going to nirvana my neon purgatory into petals of destruction, then to glaive of nirvana. http://www.pwdatabase.com/items/25678
I realize there's a very small difference between the two, as far as magic attack. The nirvana refines better though, as well as has an option for way better add ons.
Plus I have a wizard I'm building, so this will work to be stashed to them as well.

    That's why I'm choosing what I'm choosing. :)

not too picky. I'll pick up anything my level in a shop unless I can get a better drop from a monster.

For me its all about what you have going on with your other gear. If you have no other - chan gear than going for wheel of fate or endless doesnt make sense in my books, going from base chan to - 3 isnt as useful as going from say - 15 to -18. I've never really taken budget into consideration when making a weapon because as clerics we get 2nd pick of all tt drops, and in times like now with 2x drops, farming any mats that aren't gold = super easy. I got all my gbas in about 5 days which is pretty good for not religiously doing tt runs lol.
Yeah my sig doesn't match my name...i would say im being all clever and trying to confuse people...but im really just too lazy to make a new one

Exact same thing, although if both looked awesome i chose for the one with the highest HP added. I'm a HP *** xD
    8x Cleric (Sanctuary)
    6x Veno (Sanctuary)
    5x Assasin (Harshlands)
    3x Archer (Sanctuary)

Since there wasn't much to choose from when the server started I went:

    lv50 supply stash -> lv70: Ashura's Sign -> lv80: Yaksa -> lv90: Blade of the Red Dust -> lv100: Wheel of Light

I was originally planning to do lv90 Innocent Reverie -> lv99 Inferno-Heaven Ravager:Souless. But those TT changes happened and I scratched that off the list and aimed for Rank weapon instead.

Requiem Blade at lv89 would have been a sufficient alternative but at the time I liked the yaksa much better than any requiem blade for sale. I saw it as a downgrade :< Plus, I saw no reason to use the blade for 1 level just to change to blade of red dust (which I had been planning for some time; almost had all the mats ready too ><)

    My criteria was:
-within my budget (i'm poor, really)
-will last me at least 10 levels
    -decent minimum matk
-bonus stats like +matk or -channelling, to a lesser extent +physical defense/vitality/magic. even though rank 8 has lolz +MP stat the attack is good for the price imho and will easily last me until i can afford something better
