Yes, I know a million threads have been made on the topic of items dropping on death.
Yes... I have read those threads. No my question was not answered in those threads.

So here it is.

I've read conflicting info about whether or not fashion has a chance of dropping if you die while PKing. Some people say that because the official PW game guide page doesn't mention fashion under the definition of "equipped items" it is not possible to have them drop, and go as far as to say that using a binding charm on fash is a waste of money and value. On the other hand, I've also read posts from people claiming that they have seen fash drop on death. Was it because the person who died happened to have fash in their inventory? Or was it fash that the player had been wearing at the time?

I'd love to hear your personal experiences with this.

Well; ages ago when I needed to kill Haggist Geezlot (something like that, the dryad miniboss who's the Bloodraged Cadavers supposed brother) I was wating for an old veno friend of mine as she'd said she'd help me out. Almost as soon as she drops down, all ready to kill the miniboss, a dark pink named archer came flying around, about level 50. My friend killed him, and went pink for a few minutes. Unfortunately, he was flying with his buddy too who happened to be a very angry wizard. So she died, pinknamed, and dropped a light blue ballet dress. I know for sure that the dress was in her normal bag, and not equipped/in her wardrobe, because she gave it to me for a few seconds to try on b:chuckle

I don't think fash can be dropped from a wardrobe, not too sure about whether it can be dropped while equipped.

Anything that is not Bound that either resides in your inventory or is equipped to your character has the possibility of being dropped on PK death. Fashion in your wardrobe doesn't count.

But equipped items only have a chance of drop if your name is a shade of red? White/pink names can only drop inventory items?

(rephrase: If I'm not actively going out and killing people, as long as I have fashion equipped I will run no risk of ever dropping it?)

What does "Bound" mean? How do I bind something?

some items are auto-bound when equipped, for others you have to bind them using a binding charm.

Basically, binding items means you cause them to be undroppable, untradeable, etc (though they can be put in account stashes.) The good thing about this is that you can not ever drop your [very expensive] armor/weapon should you be killed while red named....but it also means you can not EVER sell them, which means you really don't want to bind any gear you want to ever sell, or any gear you aren't going to use for a long time.
Things said during a Twizted faction PK session:
Slayer_of_Souls: you guys are such suck ups. none of you have attacked twid.
Twiddzly(fac leader): no, sere killed me already.
Slayer_of_Souls: he's out there waiting for us, isn't he. i'm gonna die.
Sereneai: b:sin why don't you come find out.
    Kinglkaruga: you go first dule.
