The time of prophecy has arrived.
Called to action at last, the Earthguard have emerged from their hidden enclave,
ready to aid Perfect World against the coming destruction.

But what of the first three races - Human, Untamed, and Winged Elf - who struggled first against each other, then allied to face the Wraith threat?
Or the Tideborn, only recently risen from the depths to join the fight?

Will the whole of Perfect World unite against the approaching darkness?
Or will mistrust and suspicion tear Perfect World apart once and for all?

The contest is simple - create a video portraying how the Earthguard and the other races react to each other. It can be dramatic or humorous, epic or tragic, but it must illustrate how either the other races interact with Earthguard, or vice-versa.

The winner will recieve 10 million in coin, paid to the character(s) of their choice˚, and community recognition for their film. This contest is open to all characters & servers.

Rules:
1. Videos must be uploaded to YouTube (or another video hosting site).
Email kieve_krs@hotmail.com with a link to your film and your primary character/server*.
YouTube is preferred - I will create a playlist of contest entries to keep track of the participants.
2. Video content^ must be at least 0:30 seconds long, but no more than 5:00 minutes.
3. Multiple entries are allowed, up to a maximum of 3 per person.
4. Videos must be PG-13/"Safe for work." Excessive swearing, violence, nudity, or other objectionable content will result in your video's disqualification. TL;DR, if you can't post it on the forum, don't enter it.
5. Entry deadline will be April 30th. All video links must be received before midnight, US-Eastern time (GMT-5).

Judging:
In an effort to quell most QQ'ing or disputes about how "X was better than Y," five Finalists will be selected and placed in a public poll to determine the winner, along with the merits on which they were selected (a brief review). All other entries are likewise entitled to in-depth feedback, if they desire.
Films will be judged on both creative content and technical ability. Poor film quality will not ruin your chances if your idea is good.

A guide is available for those who need a little help or advice getting started.
If your YouTube video is muted due to a claim from Warner Music Group (WMG), this should help. Please note that it will only work for WMG issues - Sony/UMG, UMD, Fox, and others tend to be less forgiving and generally don't revoke claims based on the "Fair Use" clause.

˚Coin is farmed on my own time with my own alts. I wish I had more to offer, but I'm just a player, and not a particularly rich one at that.
*Prize can be distributed to any character/server or multiple (in split denominations), but for tracking entries, please link only one character.
^Video content is defined as actual footage. "Studio/Logo" intro cinematics are acceptable, but will not be counted as part of the video's length. Example: If you use 0:10 seconds on a text screen "Created By John Smith, Archosaur Server," your film should total at least 0:40 seconds start to finish. "Credits" sections likewise fall under these guidelines.

    think ill sit this one out. i'm sorry but in the time it takes to make a video that could be considered able to win this i could have raised 50mill farming.... anything. ill be sure to watch the entries and vote though. should be interesting.

This isn't a GM event, I don't have unlimited resources at my disposal, I have what I worked for on my own time and nothing else. I know it's not nearly as much as it used to be in the current economy, but it's all I've got.

    10mil is ALOT by my standards b:surrender thank you for even doing this at all b:pleased

    One quick question - do you know of a way to hid the combat damage numbers as I have only 1 machine capable of playing PWI (ie cant watch on an alt) and it would make the videos a whole lot tidier b:victory

    Unfortunately, there's no way to turn off damage tickers - the only way to "hide" them is to film from another "camera" (/alt). It's regrettable, but sometimes unavoidable.

    and fair enough too, you try and organise something and then others give you hell about it. That would more than annoy me, and and any other sensible person.

    2 - it must be a low level character? can i do both my sin and my mystic? my mystic isn't a high level (neither is my sin xD).

    1. Yes, any server. :)
    2. Any level, high or low, doesn't matter.

    As long as it somehow relates to how your characters feel about the Earthguard arrival, or how the EG's feel about them, either is fine. Aside from that, anything goes.

    Best advice I can give there is what Wikipedia cites as USA guidelines for PG-13:

    For the Sitcom Video Contest a while back, someone submitted a film with a number of Duke Nukem's quotes strung together - basically a thirty-second stream of profanity-laced quips. I'd suggest avoiding that kind of usage. The odd insult is fine, a torrent of "F-this, F-that" is not.

    my first video, i wanna thank kieve for doing this because he encouraged me to try something newb:laugh It was a lot of fun making it and I encourage everyone to come out and film, because in the end its very satisfying. It brings your creative side to the plate.

    Probably, there are some entries (HOPEFULLY!!!) that are not posted in this thread.

    I'm a bit disappointed, because both of the videos show good relations with the EG. There's so much QQ about OP seekers. Don't tell me there's no combat movie entered???

    Anyway, the 2 entries are pretty>b:cute
